Indian-American Guy Lived Inside Airport For 3 Months Before Getting Caught & We Want To Know How

Last year, we saw a poor guy stuck at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi after flights were getting cancelled and the German man was stranded at the airport for months.

Now, we have another guy, a 36-year-old Indian-American, staying at an airport for three months.

The difference is that the German man was stuck there, and this guy was apparently too scared of flying due to the coronavirus pandemic and chose to hide at the airport.

The pandemic has resulted in some bizarre airport stories, that's for sure.

Aditya Singh from California reportedly hid in a secured area of O’Hare International Airport in Chicago since October until he was arrested this weekend.

He has been charged with felony criminal trespass to a restricted area of an airport and misdemeanour theft. He arrived at the Chicago airport on October 19 and then has been hiding out in a secured area of the airport since then.

Cook County Judge Susana Ortiz was as dumbfounded as we are after hearing about this man and his three-month-long 'adventures'.

She said, "So, if I understand you correctly, you’re telling me that an unauthorized, nonemployee individual was allegedly living within a secure part of the O’Hare airport terminal from Oct. 19, 2020, to Jan. 16, 2021, and was not detected? I want to understand you correctly."

How is that possible? Even the judge wants to know.

He got caught after he was approached by two United Airlines employees who asked to see his identification. The ID badge he showed them actually belonged to an operations manager who had reported it missing on Oct 26.

Reportedly, he was hiding out because he was “scared to go home due to COVID.”

The judge said, "The court finds these facts and circumstances quite shocking for the alleged period of time that this occurred. Being in a secured part of the airport under a fake ID badge allegedly, based upon the need for airports to be absolutely secure so that people feel safe to travel, I do find those alleged actions do make him a danger to the community."

Basically, this is again a repeat of the Tom Hanks movie The Terminal, but this time it seems to be voluntary for some reason.
