High-street labels always have a way of taking things to the extreme.
Other than wearable silhouettes, some brands often go for bizarre, eye-brow-raising artefact-like silhouettes that are sometimes not wearable either.
From extremely long jeans to a denim jacket with humongous sleeves, they seem to have 'invented' them all in the last few years.

Recently, we had another such weird sneaker silhouette introduced in the market.
Balenciaga just dropped a pair of sneakers that’s made entirely of metal.
The French luxury fashion house just introduced the ‘Track Sculpture,' an outlandish sneaker silhouette made of metal, which looks exactly like their iconic Track 2 sneaker silhouette in size 41.

Made in Italy, the brand's weird new offering will be tough to fit into even if you try. That's because the metallic sneaker is made by soldering 16 moulded pieces together and it’s so heavy that walking in them would not be easy.
In fact, your feet might even get bruised just by slipping into these sneakers. These are unwearable but look good from afar.

So, if they're not meant for wearing, why has Balenciaga come up with literal metallic sneakers? Apparently, they can be great decor pieces according to Balenciaga.
“Part of a lineage of objects d’art that recontextualises everyday products, the palladium, and brass sculpture is a cross between a bronzed baby shoe keepsake and a Dadaist Readymade, transforming the functional Balenciaga sneaker into an inflexible solid”, said a spokesperson for the brand.
This metallic sneaker is not like your regular home decor item. It's priced at $5250 which comes down to a whopping Rs 3,83,900 approximately.
If you plan to get one, you should probably hurry, they're a limited edition product with only 16 products that have been made, so far.
Currently, the metal sneakers are available on Balenciaga’s official website and even in their stores in Madison Avenue or North Rodeo Drive storefronts in the US.

However, if you just want to stick to the Track 2 sneakers, you could get the OGs from Farfetch, one of the variants costs 914 dollars but is currently on sale and comes down to 640 Dollars which Rs 46,800 approximately.
They're practically the same design, sans the metal part.
