Shah Rukh Khan’s charm has ruled Bollywood for years but after Zero, things weren’t working out for the actor and he decided to go on a hiatus. He took time to say yes to a script and was rumoured to be a part of many. Fans were eagerly waiting to see the actor back on the big screen and he finally said yes to Siddharth Anand’s project, Pathan. Touted to be an espionage-thriller, Pathan also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles.

SRK is finally coming back after a gap of years and there’s one more piece of news that has been doing the rounds. Well, if reports are to be believed, SRK is now the highest-paid actor in India. As per a report in Spotboye, the Badshah of Bollywood is charging a whopping Rs 100 crore for Pathan. With this, Shah Rukh Khan has left behind Bollywood stars such as Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan who were on top of the list so far.

Pathan went on the floors in November last year. When the first look of SRK shooting for the movie was leaked, people couldn’t help but be in awe of the actor. SRK was seen sporting long hair with a braid on the side, and an overall rugged look. In fact, the look reminded people of his character from Don.

Addressing the break he took from work, Shah Rukh had earlier said, “I have no film with me right now. I am not working on any film. Usually what happens is when one of your films is coming to an end, you begin work on your next film and I get involved within 3-4 months. But this time I am just not feeling like...My heart doesn’t allow me to. I just felt that I should rather take time out, watch films, listen to stories, and read more books. Even my kids are in their college stage...my daughter is going to college and my son is about to finish his studies. So I just want to spend more time with my family.”
