The Family Man 2 makers have introduced new characters in the second season of the show who have managed to steal hearts with their power-packed performances. 

If you have seen the show, you might have particularly liked Abhay Verma who played the role of Kalyan, aka Salman, who kidnapped Srikant’s (Manoj Bajpayee) daughter.

His character was constantly torn apart between the love that he feels and the mission that he has been handed responsibilities for. From his boyish charms to his expressions, Abhay has clearly bowled everyone over with his acting.

In his latest Instagram post, Abhay expressed gratitude for the fact that the makers of the show gave him a significant amount of screen space to showcase his talent. 

In his message, he said, “Thank you Raj and DK sir, and my director Suparn for allowing me with this opportunity to be a part of this wonderful family of The Family Man. I also want to thank every member of this show who made it look like what it looks like. The love, respect, and affection you have shown towards Salman/Kalyan is amazing. My shoulders feel heavy but I take this responsibility with my head up. I shall try my level best to entertain you guys in whatever way I can.”

When we went through his Instagram profile, his pictures somehow reminded us of Aditya Roy Kapur in his early days.

Abhay is originally from Panipat, Haryana, and was born on 27 July 1998. He started off as a model and, eventually, made his way to the entertainment industry. 

Abhay is not new to the world of OTT as he has already been a part of some projects. 

He first got attention when Akshay Kumar launched the first look of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film on PM Narendra Modi. The film is titled Mann Bairagi and it features Abhay in the role of PM Modi. 

“I had imagined myself in a poster like this but I never thought it would happen this soon and that too under the influence of such masters of the craft. So excited to finally share the poster of my film Mann Bairagi, got to work with such an amazing cast and crew who’ve worked so hard to make every shot of the film worth seeing. This journey has just begun. Can’t wait for y’all to watch the film,” said Abhay. 

Abhay has been a part of many advertisements as well before his appearance in The Family Man 2. 

Apart from this, he has also appeared on other web shows like Little Things and Marzi, which were released on OTT platforms. 

At a very young age, he has also forayed into the production space. Abhay is the co-producer of Sandeep Singh and Mahesh Manjrekar’s Swatantra Veer Savarkar. 

He does look promising and we look forward to watching him more on the screen.
