Well, the latter is a category that’s obsessed with the weighing machine. And that obsession grows manifolds in the festive season. Why? The festive season calls for liberal indulgence in sweets, drinks and food, compelling the weight-conscious lot to end up on the weighing scale every day, sometimes more than once in a day.

Right After Working Out

So, never get too excited just because you were a kilo lesser on the scale after your crossfit workout session yesterday. Your body is likely to be inadequately hydrated.

Weighing Yourself On Different Scales

An important rule if you are keeping a tab on the losses and gains in your weight is to weigh yourself on the same scale every time—preferably the one at your home. 

Even if a scale isn’t properly calibrated, you would still know the changes that are happening in your weight. Relying on a friend’s weighing machine or the one at the gym may show your different, wavering readings.

At Different Times Of The Day

It shouldn’t only be the same scale but also the same time of the day, preferably mornings, when you weigh yourself. Never weigh after you have had dinner or binged on fried snacks, you tend to be at your heaviest at night, once you are done with all the meals for the day! Try to weigh yourself first thing in the morning, empty stomach.

A light T-shirt or a pair of joggers may not make much of a difference but if you have just got back home from the gym, remove those extra layers of clothing and shoes before stepping on the weighing scale. When You Are Anxious

If the thought of stepping on the weighing scale makes you anxious, best is to avoid it. The guilt of weighing more may hinder your growth to achieving a certain weight number. However, it is advisable to remain within a weight range rather than sticking to a particular number. A variation of about 2 to 3 kilograms is okay. The changes could be due to water retention or the kind of diet you had.
