Spotify is going to bring high-quality streaming in the form of Spotify HiFi which will be extended to premium subscribers soon. Spotify has not mentioned which markets will be getting the upgrade first, however it might be possible that India will be one of them. Audio enthusiasts tend to prefer to stream music with better quality and Spotify is making that request come true. Amazon already offers HD audio streaming on its platform, however the collection is quite limited. Apple Music currently does not offer any form of HiFi audio streaming which gives Spotify an edge over its main competition. Here are some of the things you should know about Spotify’s HiFi streaming feature:
1. Lossless Audio

Spotify uses something similar to Apple’s AirPlay called ‘Spotify Connect’ which is used by many third-party speakers including some of Amazon’s Echo devices. Spotify will be working with some of the world’s biggest speaker manufacturers such as Sonos to deliver the same lossless experience for audio streamers. This means that your in-home audio systems will also be able to play lossless audio in your living room or in my case, the bathroom.

Even though Spotify was a bit late to launch its own lossless audio solution, users of the streaming service have been demanding the feature for a very long time. However, Spotify has been working on the feature for a while so that it gives users a seamless experience. It would be crucial to make the new experience work in tandem with the app framework that already exists without alienating existing users.
