We have said this before and we can confidently say it again - Ranbir Kapoor has often shown us that he has one of the best collections of sneakers. The man truly is a hypebeast, and owns some of the most sought after sneakers in the world.

Recently, on a visit to a dentist in Mumbai, he showed us again why people think that he is a proper sneakerhead.

Ranbir was seen wearing one of the most expensive sneakers that money can buy. But first, let’s take a look at his outfit.

Ranbir was seen wearing a rather basic looking grey coloured T-shirt, and a pair of really dope-looking jeans. The jeans were slightly distressed and were decorated rather elegantly with bleach stains.

Along with that, he was seen wearing a rather dapper-looking baseball cap, and mask that matched his shirt.

As we said, the highlight piece of his ensemble was the pair of sneakers. Ranbir was seen wearing the Jordan 1 Retro High Dior, a pair of sneakers that was a part of a capsule collection made by Nike & Dior.

Also known as the Air Dior, the sneaker had a limited production run of 8,500, which when you compare it to other Air Jordan 1s, is not that high a number.

When it was brand new, it retailed for $2,000 or just over Rs 1.56 Lakhs and sold out within minutes. Add your import duties and taxes, and you’re looking at a pair that would have cost north of Rs 2.3 Lakhs, easily. But that’s not what the sneakers are worth today.

Today, they resell for as high as $9,000 or roughly Rs 6 Lakhs. At a minimum, they resell for about $7,200 or Rs 5.8 Lakhs.

However, Ranbir has got a trick up his sleeves that allows him to pick up the choicest of sneakers for much less than what normal mortals like us would have to pay.

Speaking to a popular men’s lifestyle magazine about his obsession with sneakers, Ranbir gave away some juicy tidbits about his sneakers and how he collects them.

He said that he has a guy in London, a reseller who is in the business of picking up the latest pairs of kicks as soon as they drop. This guy apparently reserves 2 pairs for Ranbir, which he picks up each time he visits London. He buys 2 pairs of each pair, one to wear and one to stock.

That’s one neat trick to pick up kicks that go out of stock as soon as they drop. But then, isn’t it a bit obvious for someone who’s as massive a sneakerhead as Ranbir? We just can’t wait to see what other exotic pair Ranbir shows up in.
