Paras Singh, a YouTuber who goes by the name Paras Official has been accused of making racial remarks. He posted a video on Sunday on his channel and called Arunachal Pradesh's Congress MLA Ninong Ering, a 'non-Indian'. He also claimed that the 'state was a part of China.'

The YouTuber was triggered by Ering, as the MLA wrote a letter to PM Modi, asking for a ban on the Indian version of the PUBG Battlegrounds game in India. This later sparked an outcry of anger amongst Arunachal Pradesh's people and other places of the country.

Actor Varun Dhawan also took to Instagram and spoke about the comments made on the MLA. He shared the image on his Instagram story and wrote, "Having spent so much time in Arunachal Pradesh, it is time we educate ourselves and others about how wrong this is."

Paras was arrested on Tuesday in Ludhiana for making such racist remarks. Amar Kaushik, the filmmaker of some impeccable movies like Stree and Bala, was the first one to criticise the comment made by Paras. He wrote, "Being ignorant about your country and its region is stupidity in itself, but when that ignorance is expressed in an offensive manner, it becomes toxic. We all need to call out and condemn such ignorance in one voice and make all idiots understand that IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE ANYMORE,"

Varun recently shot in Amar Kaushik's upcoming movie Bhediya in Arunachal Pradesh. Even Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao criticised the YouTuber.

Kriti also took to Instagram and mentioned how people should start respecting their country and have equal respect for every region. The actress later thanked Amar in her post.

Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh spoke about the racial slur and said, "video aims at inciting ill will and hatred towards the people of Arunachal Pradesh".

On the work front, Varun and Kriti wrapped up shooting for Bhediya. The film is an addition to the director Amar Kaushik's horror-comedy genre.
