Lazy Men May Just Have A Chance At Being Fit, Especially Since Milind Soman Is One Of Them

If this article has stumbled across you while you’re neatly tucked in your bed, scrolling through Instagram while popping chips in your mouth, then let me tell you that there is still some hope left for you. And by that I mean, to be fit and not procrastinate that trip to the gym any longer.

The problem with staying healthy and in shape is not not knowing how to do it, but simply getting yourself to do what you already know.

Like waking up early, putting on shoes and actually stepping out of your house to workout. And what makes it worse for some is their instinct to be lazy. Much like Milind Soman

Don’t believe me? Keep reading.

The actor who has time and again set some unbelievable standards of fitness, especially with his nude-run on the beach has come clean about being rather lazy in life.

However, the catch here is how despite being lazy, Milind manages to get out of bed and workout in a way that works best for someone like him - a procrastinator.

He shared, “I am really lazy, but I have patience and am regular. Laziness is a natural instinct. You will not move unless absolutely required. So, you will have to fight that laziness. I do micro workouts — between 30 seconds to three minutes at a time. And I work out about 15-20 minutes a day. But in those minutes, I push myself a little bit.”

The Four More Shots Please actor also went on to say, “I do 30 Surya Namaskar every day, which takes me seven minutes. That takes care of my mobility. I do 60 push-ups in a minute. I might push myself to do 62, and I am happy. Make sure you are getting the correct form and doing it correctly.”

Talking about whether or not he is paranoid about keeping a check on his calorie intake, Milind Soman said, “I don’t measure. I don’t count any calories. I have never taken any special diet in my life. I eat as much as I can. I used to love chocolates as recently as 7-8 years ago. I used to eat a quarter kilo of chocolates every day. I started cutting down on sugar.”

He shared different ways of consuming sugar and said, “I eat a lot of ghee, jaggery. Everything is sugar whether bananas, mangoes or jaggery as the body breaks it down to glycogen which is needed for its functioning. But the more whole, unrefined it is, I feel it is better for me.”

And honestly, that doesn’t seem too difficult to pull off, especially for someone like us who are always looking for ways to get off the hook.

Because if someone like Milind Soman, who is a fitness icon has become one despite being lazy, there is no way we can’t follow suit!
