Here's When & How You Can Watch The Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction Occurring Today After 400 Years

This year has been filled with rare, once in a lifetime moments, and finally, there's something actually positive happening in that category.

Today is the exciting day when the rare Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn will happen. While both of those planets pass each other nearly once every 20 years, this time, when they're crossing paths, it's a little different.

Here's what makes it so special: according to NASA, "It's been nearly 400 years since the planets passed this close to each other in the sky, and nearly 800 years since the alignment of Saturn and Jupiter occurred at night, as it will for 2020, allowing nearly everyone around the world to witness this 'Great conjunction'."

Anyone with binoculars or a small telescope will obviously get a better view and will be able to see the four moons surrounding Jupiter.

The Livestream of the entire event will also be available on NASA's website as well as Facebook and YouTube pages.Β  Β
