Akshay Kumar & Other Celebs Come In Support Of Govt After Rihanna’s Tweet On Farmers’ Protest


The farmers have been protesting since November 26th last year and one tweet has left celebrities divided. Not only Indian celebrities but international celebs also have different opinions the global pop icon Rihanna extending support to the on-going farmers’ protest in India.

Thousands of farmers in India from Punjab and Haryana have been protesting around the Delhi capital border points and are requesting the government to repeal the three farm laws. While Rihanna’s tweet was in support of the farmers, many Indian celebrities also extended support to the farmers’ protest.

However, now a few Bollywood celebrities are supporting the government and took to Twitter to express their opinions about the same.

Akshay Kumar took to Twitter and wrote, “Farmers constitute an extremely important part of our country. And the efforts being undertaken to resolve their issues are evident. Let’s support an amicable resolution, rather than paying attention to anyone creating differences. Folded hands#IndiaTogether #IndiaAgainstPropaganda”

Ajay Devgn also posted on Twitter saying, “Don’t fall for any false propaganda against India or Indian policies. Its important to stand united at this hour w/o any infighting Folded hands. #IndiaTogether #IndiaAgainstPropaganda”

Not only this, Bollywood director and producer, Karan Johar also took to Twitter supporting the government and wrote, “We live in turbulent times and the need of the hour is prudence and patience at every turn. Let us together make every effort we can to find solutions that work for everyone—our farmers are the backbone of India. Let us not let anyone divide us. #IndiaTogether”

Soon after Rihanna’s tweet, Kangana Ranaut also took to Twitter and called Rihanna a fool for her tweet in which she was supporting the farmers’ protest.

Kangana wrote, “No one is talking about it because they are not farmers they are terrorists who are trying to divide India so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like the USA... Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies.”
