Varun Sharma may not be your regular style icon that most Bollywood celebrities are, but boy, does he have great taste in footwear. 

Like most notable Bollywood celebrities, the man is a proper sneakerhead.

While promoting his upcoming film, Roohi, where he has been cast with Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, Varun showed up at a popular movie theatre in Mumbai, wearing one of the sickest looking pairs of sneakers we have seen in a long time.

First, though, let’s have a look at his outfit, for it trumped everything that Rajkummar & Janhvi were wearing

Varun was seen wearing a very simple, but hip-looking outfit. 

We see Varun here wearing a basic T-shirt, and baggy, or anti-fit, blue coloured technical jacket with loads of pockets and zippers and a simple pair of dark washed jeans.

We also like his choices in accessories. The squarish sunglasses, sits really well with the outfit, thanks to the silver frame. Then, there’s also that watch with the yellow face, which adds its own charm.

The statement piece of the ensemble, though, would have to be the rather quirky and zany looking pair of sneakers that he’s wearing.

If you look closely, the left and the right shoe are slightly different. One has a tiger print, and the other has a leopard print. 

The sneakers we see here are the Kyrie 6 EP 'Oracle Aqua/black-Opti Yellow' from Nike and boy, they truly are something to behold.

The sneakers are a part of Nike’s basketball sneakers and have been designed in collaboration with Kyrie Irving. 

The yellow straps with the feline hide prints are actually velcro straps that go over the laces, giving them a very cool and unusual aesthetic.

The straps also have a function. They are actually used to further tighten the sneakers around the feet, which, given that this is a basketball sneaker, kinda makes sense. 

This pair was designed for professional basketball players after all.

One would assume that the sneakers would cost some ungodly figure. Well, they kinda do, but they are actually somewhat affordable. Launched in January of 2020, these sneakers retail for $130.

In India, they can be picked up for Rs 10,500, or much less than that, if you know where to look.

All in all, this is actually a dope outfit and an even cooler pair of kicks. Take a bow, Varun, seriously, a great choice.
