  1. Bollywood's action star Vidyut Jammwal, who is currently seen as Dojo Master in Discovery's reality show India's Ultimate Warrior, has an interesting lineup of films. Last seen in Sanak, which was released on Disney+Hotstar, the actor's next release will be the sequel to Khuda Haafiz. View this post on Instagram Talking about Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II – Agni Pariksha, in an exclusive chat with MensXP, Vidyut revealed that the team is planning to release it in the theatres. He said, "It's going to be better and different for sure. The scale is much bigger than what you saw in Khuda Haafiz. The story is more intriguing and I'm excited about it. When Khuda Haafiz had come, we waited but then had to put it on OTT. We're now planning to finally release it (the sequel) in the theatres". On being asked about the release date, Vidyut said, "We will announce it next week". View this post on Instagram For the unversed, the first installment of Khuda Haafiz had released on Disney+Hostar in 2020 amidst the coronavirus pandemic and received a good response from viewers. Currently, the actor is busy shooting for his debut home production film titled IB 71. The espionage-thriller is being directed by filmmaker Sankalp Reddy. Talking about becoming a producer, he said, "I wanted to work with people that I had a desire with, who have been in the industry and haven't got a chance (to prove themselves) but still are brilliant. So, it is an opportunity to give everybody a chance who I thought are deserving. Because somebody had given me a chance when they thought I deserved it, and not the rest of the world. So, I'm giving it back in that way. I wanna create movies that I've always aspired to watch, the movies that have inspired me". View this post on Instagram Talking about choosing IB 71 as his first production venture, he added, "The script was interesting and it's never been done before. It's about secret services, it's not just (about) a Commando or an Army officer or somebody who just goes and fights a battle. These are unsung heroes that we never talk about. We know about them. Like MI, FBI, we know all this but we don't know much about IB. Who these secret service officers are, what they do with their lives, how amazing they are. The film revolves around that". Interestingly, the team was offered to shoot IB 71 in Switzerland but Vidyut chose to film it in his hometown, Jammu. "By the time I started enjoying movies, in the 1990s and 2000s, we were shooting in Switzerland. When I, as a producer, got a chance to choose between Switzerland and Kashmir, I chose the latter as Kashmir is in a good space now, it is amazing. So, as a producer, I'm happy to shoot in my own country. We've shot in Jammu and Kashmir and it has been a phenomenal experience. It's much better than any other place in the world". View this post on Instagram Vidyut's name is synonymous with the Commando franchise. Ever since the release of Commando 3 in 2019, fans are eagerly waiting for Commando 4. While the fourth installment was announced last year, there has been no concrete update on it. Talking about the much-awaited film, the actor shared, "We want to take some time on the script because the first three parts were amazing. In the fourth installment, we have to surpass everything that is in your imagination. It'll take a while. Till the time we're not ready and satisfied that we will create an amazing product, we will not start working on it". For the unversed, Commando (2013) was Vidyut's first film as a lead protagonist and turned out to be a success at the box office. View the full article
