Like it or not, Valentine's Day is just around the corner. That means planning for it, getting ready, gifting - the usual shebang. It's ironic that a day that is supposed to be all about love, is reduced to one that is about a 'Roadies' style task instead, the aim of which is to impress your partner. We examined the problem closely and found out the main issue that causes all the confusion and stress is that most men are clueless about what to gift their partners. And why don't they know what to gift? Because it's tough AF to figure out what women want. Plus it's 2018, so roses and chocolates and soft toys just don't cut it anymore. Keeping the happiness of our homies in mind, we went ahead and got the information right from the horse's mouth. We asked 10 women about that one perfect gift they'd love to receive on Valentine's Day. 1. For the practical girlfriend: I honestly don't expect, or even want a really expensive gift from my partner. What would really impress me would be if he shows that he notices really small but important, seemingly trivial details about me. They may not be very household, but bright colours are bonafide winners as stand-out pieces to own (plus, they're not even that dramatic). But dug deep into, their appearance with denim is a most sought after combo. Two A-list, classic trends will obvs result in a big celebration. No? To help us score brownie points with this combo and our denim pairings as a whole—blogger Akshay Sharma gives us a peak into his denim school of thought... Your first ever denim purchase? I was probably 5 or 6, when my dad bought me my first pair of denims. I was obsessed with them! Until I gained weight and they stopped fitting me! Is denim a pizza or a burger? I'd say, a Hawaiian pizza. I love wearing denims, as much as I love pineapples on my pizza. Maybe a crime, but it's all about your guilty pleasures sometimes. Ever had a smelly jeans moment? Never! I feel ambushed & get paranoid when my clothes start to stink. I'm a mess (lol). How often do you wash your jeans? The more you wash denim, the more it'll fade & loose it's appeal (especially black jeans). So, I wash them once in a month! Ever tried dungarees? I have! And my mum tells me I look as cute as a baby boy in them. Your take on gender-fluid denim habits? I wear nail paint, gender neutral apparel and accessories almost every day. And guess what, my family is completely cool with it! But publicly, yes—I do feel interrogating eyes staring at me sometimes. In my opinion, it's no one's business to question an individual's style of dressing. I'm glad that people have now become more accepting, but there's still a long way to go. Dark wash or light wash? I've been wearing a lot of light wash denim this year. Probably because I've burnt myself out wearing an excess of dark washes in the past. Ripped or distressed? Ripped, they look unapologetically dope. White or black denim? Black! First off, it's hassle-free. But most importantly, they let you enjoy your red wine without the fear of a stain. Love or hate skinny jeans? Absolutely adore skinny jeans! But I wear them only once in a blue moon. Your go-to denim outfit? In summers—tank tops & distressed denim shorts. I prefer wearing minimal clothing in the heat! Actually, I even go commando at times. In winter, my denim jacket is a must. Your go-to denim brand? Levi's & H&M. One unusual denim hack that only you know of? To fade-wash your jeans, take baking powder & apply it on the fabric. Now, grab a few sketch pens & add colour to your denim (in whichever way you'd like). After a while, run some Hydrogen Peroxide (readily available at pharmacies) all over the fabric, (with the help of a cotton dab) to arrive upon your DIY-ed pair of fade-wash jeans! Ever committed a denim faux pas? Multiple times! I visited a casino in Goa recently, wearing distressed jeans like a boss. In a matter of minutes, I had to head to buy myself an alternate pair of jeans, to gain entry inside. My jeans could be excessively distressed for their dress code, but in my defense—I was too drunk to notice. '30 days of Denim' is a social experiment of sorts, or in layman terms, the ultimate Denim guide, on how to inject your personality, and inherent sense of self into, say, a basic-ass pair of jeans. Bonus: It features 30 really cool men, all with very distinct style sensibilities, but primarily, each having an innate love for all things denim. The latest offering for runners out of its stable is the Free RN Flyknit. As soon as it came out, we got our hands on a pair and put it to a field test. Should you buy it? Here’s the answer. It’s Weightless! © YouTube It’s literally weightless. Yup, as light as a feather, it feels like you are barely dragging a shoe along. The traditional FlyKnit upper combined with the tristar-sole makes it the lightest shoe we have ever reviewed. It’s so light that it wouldn’t be wrong calling them ‘socks’ instead of a shoe. It’s So Flexible That You Can Roll It Up And Fit It In Your Pocket © YouTube Nope, we didn’t really do it but if you squeeze it and roll it up on purpose, it might just fit into your pocket. Again, the magic here are the impeccably crafted upper and the foam tri-sole. Th upper is literally strength fiber woven together. We tried twisting and turning it every way possible and it bounced back right back its original form, unscathed. The Sole © YouTube The craziest part of this shoe is its sole. It is literally a grid of tri-star chunks of foam perfectly aligned together. The logical behind this new ‘sole construct’ is that it lets the foot move in its natural ‘curve and extend’ movement. The Run © YouTube After we were done playing around, we threw them on and hit the tarmac. We essentially ran on the road. Exactly how a lot of runners in India do it. The impact response of the shoe is pretty smooth. Instead of feeling a hard rebound thump on the foot, the sole absorbs the shock pretty effortlessly. There’s just a mere 4 mm drop on the heel on a sole 90% made of foam, so that explains a lot itself. Buy Or Nah? © YouTube If you love running, this shoe is for you. It fits like a dream and enhances the running stance. It’s light and looks pretty sturdy. But the interesting part here is that it can also double up as an ‘inside-the-gym’ shoe. Just don’t squat or deadlift wearing running shoes!

It's been almost four years since Yusuf Pathan last featured for India on the international circuit. But the right-hander is back in the news for a unique feat he achieved after signing up for the Hong Kong League. The explosive batsman has become the first Indian male cricketer to sign for an overseas franchise-based T20 league and feels that it will be ideal preparation for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). "I firstly want to thank the BCCI and BCA for giving me the NOC. I am really excited about this venture and I think it will be good preparation for the IPL. That is why I signed for it," Yusuf, who plays for KKR in the IPL, revealed.
