We have doctors, police, and other essential health workers who are working round the clock to ensure our safety. The latest example of this is the lady Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) who is working even though she is pregnant at the moment. Yes, you heard it right. A video of a pregnant Deputy Superintendent of Police working on the busy streets and appealing to people to follow lockdown guidelines has been doing rounds on social media. DSP Shilpa Sahu came out on road to create awareness as she cannot sit back at home given the current circumstances. With an aim to control the spread, a lockdown has been imposed in the Dantewada district. We are on the roads to ensure people follow the protocols," the Deputy superintendent of police (DSP) said on Tuesday. “We are outside to ensure the safety of people. We urge them to stay inside and not venture outside without any valid reason. If we are on the streets for the sake of your (people's) safety, you should also be at home for your safety," she said. Earlier, Shilpa had been involved in anti-Maoists operations leading a team of Danteshwari Fighters- a group of women commandoes. After her pregnancy, she took a break from the field operations. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has also praised her for setting an example for others. “Shilpa Sahu is an inspiration during these difficult times of COVID-19 pandemic. She is out on the street despite being pregnant and taking to task all those who are violating covid guidelines," Baghel said. The picture showcases a father-daughter duo and has been going viral on the internet since the day it has been posted. According to NDTV, the picture shows Circle Inspector Y Shyam Sundar saluting his daughter Jessi Prasanti who is also the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Guntur District. Jessi Prasanti said, “This is the first time that we met on duty. I wasn’t very comfortable with him saluting me, after all, he’s my father. I asked him not to salute me, but it happened.   6. KARACHI: The nephew of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ferozabad Yaqoob Jatt was arrested on Friday in connection with the torture of young men by police officials. The case against the nephew was registered by one of the victim's father, who was also threatened by the DSP's nephew, Chaudhry Qadeer Younus. Younus had threatened the teenager's father with dire consequences if he pursued the case and for bringing the case to the media's attention. The DSP was suspended on Thursday, however, no legal action has been taken against him for torturing citizens. Jatt was subsequently ordered to report to the City Police Officer (CPO). As reported earlier, three teenagers ? accused of teasing girls in the Police Lines area ? were allegedly tortured by police officials, following which their families staged a protest outside the police station. In a statement to Geo News on Thursday evening, Jatt admitted assaulting the young men after receiving reports that they had teased girls. ?They were teasing our girls from Police Lines. I beat up a policeman?s son and two boys,? he had commented. Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) for Sindh Mushtaq Mahar has appointed Sultan Khawaja ? the Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) for East ? as the investigation officer for this case. Mahar had ordered a report to be submitted and action be taken against the policemen if they are found responsible for the torture.

QUETTA: The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Headquarters was killed while his nephew injured as a result of firing from unidentified assailants outside a mosque on Jail Road in the wee hours of Tuesday. Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri took notice and sought a report of the incident. According to the police, DSP Umar Rahman, along with his nephew Inspector Bilal Ahmad, was on his way to offer evening prayers at a mosque on Jail Road when unidentified armed men opened fire on them outside the mosque, causing injuries to Rahman and Ahmad. The injured were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital for further medical treatment, where DSP Rahman succumbed to his wounds. The chief minister expressed condolence over the demise of the DSP and condemned the act of terrorism. He also sought report of the incident from police officials and ordered law enforcement agencies for the immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the incident.

The injured were shifted to CMH for further medical treatment, where DSP Umar Rahman succumbed to his wounds. The Chief Minister of Balochistan expressed his condolence over the demise of DSP Headquarter Umar Rahman and condemned the act of terrorism. He also sought report of the incident from police authorities and ordered law enforcement agencies for the immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the incident.
