  1. Nvidia has launched its most affordable GPU in the new RTX 3000-series and it's called the RTX 3060. It's officially priced at $329 which is approximately Rs 29,000, making it one of the most affordable new GPUs with Ray-Tracing capabilities. With this GPU, Nvidia is clearly targeting the people who are upgrading from the GeForce GTX-series to get their first taste of Ray-tracing. It's not really a surprise because the XX60 card has traditionally sold well for Nvidia and we expect this to do good numbers for them. © Unsplash Compared to the older GTX 1060, Nvidia says the RTX 3060 can deliver twice the performance and 10x the ray-tracing performance. With this affordable card, gamers can even expect to play modern titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and get good frames with ray-tracing enabled. The best about the RTX 3060 is that it uses the same Ampere architecture as its beefier siblings. It also comes with next-gen RT and Tensor cores for ray-tracing and AI acceleration, including DLSS resolution upscaling. © Nvidia The RTX 3060 also features 12GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit bus. The VRAM is higher than RTX 3080's 10GB, however, it'll be running on a lower bandwidth overall. It'll be interesting to see how the GPU performs against the other RTX 3000-series cards.   2. Nvidia's new RTX 3000-series GPUs took the market by surprise with their impressive performance, ushering the next generation of gaming with a significant leap thanks to the Ampere architecture. The launch of the 3060 Ti also came as a surprise addition to the lineup. With a promise of delivering more performance than the previous-generation top-of-the-line RTX 2080 and 2080 Super, it's safe to say that the RTX 3060 Ti quickly became one of the best cards in the series. We've been using the Zotac GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Twin Edge GPU for a couple of months now, and we think it's indeed one of the best GPU you can buy in 2021. Here's our full review - Design and Specifications © MensXP/Karthik Iyer As you can see, the Zotac 3060 Ti Twin Edge GPU looks very different from the Founders Edition card. This GPU also uses the IceStorm 2.0 cooling system that we've seen on the Zotac 3090 Trinity. The cooling system is purpose-built for a wider coverage to keep the GPU cooler. This GPU also uses the new 11-blade fan that increases airflow by up to 10% when compared with the previous generation design. We expect that kind of cooling here because of just how powerful these new GPUs are. It also has wide aluminum fin-stack array heatsink paired with copper heat pipes to extract more heat and distribute it more efficiently. You also get a metal backplate that wraps around to increase the body to give you a more solid fit and finish, making it more durable. And unlike the Founders Edition card, the Zotac RTX 3060 Ti comes with an LED light that adds a little bit of flair to your system if it lacks RGB lighting. Overall, the card isn't massive like the 3090 Trinity and you should no issues fitting it inside even a mini-ITX cabinet. © MensXP/Karthik Iyer Moving on to the specs, the Zotac 3060 Ti comes with 4864 CUDA cores which is double the amount of CUDA cores found on the RTX 2060 Super. This GPU also offers 152 Tensor cores, 38 RT cores, 152 TMUs, and 80 ROPs. The memory bandwidth is the same as the RTX 3070 i.e. 8 GB of 14 Gbps GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit wide memory interface. Games Performance: FPS, Ray Tracing and DLSSIn order to test the GPU, we installed the Zotac 3060 Ti GPU on a system with these specs - The rig is somewhat powerful enough to run most AAA titles at max settings at 1080p or even 1440p, depending on the title. We tested games like Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Gears 5, Metro Exodus, Apex Legends, and more. Here's how it went - We tested all games at the highest graphics quality (unless indicated otherwise) to maintain a balanced performance analysis. They all were tested at 1080p resolution, which is the most popular monitor resolution. © MensXP/Karthik Iyer As you can see, even the demanding titles like Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Death Stranding, and Doom Eternal were running at solid frames. With Doom Eternal, we were easily able to hit the 144FPS at the highest settings, and the same was the case with Death Stranding. The GPU was also able to handle Metro Exodus pretty easily, however, the frames did drop below 100FPS when we enabled the Ray-tracing. But Nvidia's DLSS still helped us enjoy the game without any major FPS drops. Red Dead Redemption 2 is known to be one of the most demanding titles for PC right now but the 3060 Ti was able to maintain 80-90FPS at max graphics at 1080p. That's very impressive and it shows just how powerful this GPU really is. © MensXP/Karthik Iyer Although not all the games were tested together in one sitting, we can still confirm that the GPU was able to handle thermals very well. The GPU would sit at around 40°C when idle and went up to 75°C under load. If anything, these numbers show that Zotac's IceStorm 2.0 cooling is indeed capable of handling the load during peak gaming. Cyberpunk 2077 On Zotac RTX 3060 Ti Twin Edge GPUOne of the main reasons why we didn't add Cyberpunk 2077 to the main benchmark list for this review is because of just how inconsistent this game in its current state. Bugs and crashes aside, the game is also plagued by various performance issues on PC, resulting in lower frames than what was expected out of even the most powerful rigs out there. We think Cyberpunk 2077 needed a little more time in the oven, so we decided to keep it out of the benchmarking list for now. That being said, we were able to play the entire game and spend over 100 hours without any major hiccups. So we'll be sharing our experience of running the game on a rig powered by the Zotac 3060 Ti, but please note that this isn't the performance breakdown of the game. We'll try to revisit the same once CD Projekt Red manages to fully fix the game with more patches. Setting the graphics quality to the highest preset @ 1080p resolution yielded a consistent 90-100FPS at all times. This is regardless of the location you are in at the night city, be it out in the open world or inside a club with a lot of NPCs and lighting. With RT Ultra and DLSS Balanced Presets, we were able to get around 50-60 FPS depending on the scene. We're sure the performance will improve significantly CD Projekt Red pushes out more patches in the future. The Final SayLooking at the performance numbers, we think the Zotac RTX 3060 Ti is a solid GPU for most gamers looking at games at 1080p and 1440p. It's a great GPU for 1440p gaming and it does marginally beat the RTX 2080 Super, whereas it's a significant performance uplift over the RTX 2060 and the RTX 2060 Super. The GPU also has the horsepower to handle 4K gaming but you'll have to reduce details a little bit when it comes to demanding titles. So we think 1440p is the sweet spot for the Zotac 3060 Ti and it absolutely annihilates almost every title at 1080p. It averages 144FPS for most titles at 1080p so we see a lot of 1080p FullHD gamers eyeing this card. Overall, we think it's an exceptional GPU to buy and it offers great performance. And considering the fact that the other 3000-series GPUs are so hard to come by due to inventory management, we think 3060 Ti is a solid option if you are upgrading from an older GPU.   3. Nvidia has some stellar cards under its new GeForce 30-series GPUs. We've already seen what the new top of line cards like the RTX 3090 and the RTX 3080 can do when it comes to performance. But for gamers on a budget, they might not be the ideal option because of the slightly expensive price tag. Well, Nvidia is completely aware of that, which is why they have now announced the new RTX 3060 Ti. This GPU is priced at the lower end of the spectrum but it doesn't have compromises when it comes to performance. In fact, Nvidia claims that it's faster than the last generations' top of the line GPU, i.e the RTX 2080 Super. © Nvidia When it comes to the specs, the RTX 3060 Ti packs 4894 CUDA cores, 152 Tensor cores, and 38 RT cores. These numbers are higher than last year's RTX 2060 Super GPU, which is what most people will be upgrading from. It's got a GPU base clock of 1665 MHz and it comes with an 8GB GDDR6 VRAM and a 256-bit memory interface. With the RTX 3060 Ti, you'll be able to experience Ray-Tracing and DLSS on some of the hottest titles coming out this year and beyond like Cyberpunk 2077.   4. It’s exciting to be a PC Gamer right now as Nvidia unveiled its RTX 3000 series of GPUs that brings the second generation of ray-tracing tech and the new Ampere architecture. We got a chance to check out the latest GPU from Zotac and tested it to play different games in 4K, 2K and 1080p resolution. While many are excited about the latest PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles, PC gaming has always been a step ahead and Zotac’s RTX 3080 Trinity is a part of that journey. © Zotac While there have been changes made to certain aspects of the new GPUs such as the 12-pin connector, it remains business as usual for Zotac users. The GPU does come with a converter of its own, however since we already own a Zotac 2080ti, we didn’t need it. As for the other aspects of the GPU, it uses a traditional design, albeit a bit larger than the Zotac 2080Ti, standard PCIe power connectors, and the FireStorm utility software for overclocking needs. Needless to say, it also runs all the proprietary GeForce services such as GeForce Now, Game Stream Shield devices and of course better ray-tracing. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Zotac GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity is priced at Rs. 69,990, the same as the Founders Edition at launch and offers the same super-fast 4K gaming performance on recent games like Control and Death Stranding. The main difference between the Zotac GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity and Founder’s Edition at least from the outside is the triple-fan cooling system on the former GPU. Jumping from Zotac RTX 2080ti to Zotac RTX 3080 © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla One thing is clear, this next generation of GPUs is not only about graphic fidelity as both GPUs can run AAA titles in its highest settings. The main upgrade you will notice here are other aspects of PC games' performance such as resolution/frame-rate and better real-time ray-tracing. There is no doubt that the Zotac RTX 3080 Trinity is better at delivering higher frames in 4K resolution and better real-time ray tracing. While ray-tracing works well on the 2080Ti GPUs, the envelope has truly been pushed with the new RTX 3000 GPUs. ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity Architecture (GPU): Ampere CUDA Cores: 8704RT Cores: 68 Tensor Cores: 272 GPU Boost Clock: 1710 MHz Memory Capacity: 10GB GDDR6X Memory Bus: 320-bit Memory Clock: 19 GB/s TDP: 320W To achieve better performance in all attributes mentioned above, NVIDIA implemented additional RT cores that make it easier and faster for the GPU to render real-time ray-tracing. To run games smoothly, Tensor Cores have also been added which leverage NVIDIA’s DLSS AI tech to push better frames in every game that supports it. The DLSS 2.0 performance has been significantly boosted in RTX 3080 GPUs and it can be best noticed in Remedy’s Control as the game truly works in tandem with the GPU to deliver some astounding visuals and performance. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla In the case of RTX 3080 Trinity by Zotac, you can’t get a better GPU that features a significant bump in the CUDA core count (somewhat graphic processors). The GPU takes full advantage of the new Ampere architecture, however it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of additional second-gun RT cores and third-get Tensor cores. If you were to think of a flagship GPU by one of the AIC (add-in card) vendors, then the RTX 3080 Trinity is one of the few. The GPU's design, construction, minimal RGB accents and the build quality is second to none. We compared it to our Zotac RTX 2080Ti AMP GPU (one of the largest form factors from the previous generation) to the review unit at hand, and the first thing you will notice is that the RTX 3080 Trinity is slightly larger. Its dimensions stand at 317.8mm (L), 120.7mm (H), and 58mm (W) which can be problematic for some mid-tower cases. If you plan on buying this GPU, we recommend getting a slightly larger case that can easily accommodate the dimensions of the GPU and leaves ample room for air-flow. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Speaking of cooling, the ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity uses a three-fan design and from what we have seen, it runs cooler than the founder’s edition even when we overclocked it. You will find that the GPU idles at around 45-degrees Celsius which is quite impressive given that other GPUs run at significantly higher temperatures. However, there is one drawback to having additional fans - the ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity can get loud especially when it is running at 100% in games like Death Stranding and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Having said that, better cooling is always going to be our priority over noise levels and we don’t have anything to complain about in this department. Considering the new hardware, new high-speed memory in the form of GDDR6X and its capabilities, we were left quite impressed. Game Performance Benchmarks Having great hardware won’t mean a single thing if it didn’t deliver expected performance in games. In our two weeks of testing, the RTX 3080 Trinity was able to achieve some impressive numbers in various games in various resolutions. There were times we could not believe the frames we were getting in AAA titles even when the entire screen was populated by NPCs, enemies and big environments. From our testing, we concluded the ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity delivers exceptional performance in 4K and 1440p gaming. We tested the GPU with a Samsung 4K 120Hz TV and a 144Hz 1440P monitor. ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity’s 4K performance is 33% better than my Zotac RTX 2080 Ti Amp GPU where it easily hits and maintains impressive frames in demanding games. I have also played these games in 4K on my 2080ti, where the performance isn’t as impressive. However, when turning down the resolution to 1440p, the gains don’t look as significant which is what we expected. As mentioned earlier, the new RTX 3000 series GPUs is all about pushing the gaming to 4K resolution and it does that effectively. Having said that, in lower resolutions i.e. 1440p, there were times when the 2080ti was faster than the 3080 variant. However, the clear advantage here comes when you switch on ray-tracing in games. DLSS is NVIDIA’s marquee feature here and no matter which resolution you play in, the RTX 3080 Trinity outperforms the 2080ti by at least 20% in almost every game. With ray-tracing set to high and turning on the DLSS, in games like Control, you can easily hit 60 FPS in 4K resolution. If you are wondering about ray-tracing performance specifically, the 3080 Trinity has a 45% gain in performance over the 2080ti in 4K resolution.   5. It's only been a few weeks since Nvidia launched its GTX 1660 GPU based on the Turing architecture. And now, the company has just launched a new GPU called the GTX 1650, which carries a price tag of Rs 12,999 in India. The new GTX 1650, in case you don't know, is the third 16-series desktop GPU from the company. With a Rs 12,999 price tag, the GTX 1650 is a perfect entry-level GPU for casual or gamers on a budget. © Nvidia As for the specs, the GeForce GTX 1650 comes with 4GB DDR5 VRAM. It features 896 CUDA cores, a boost clock of 1665MHz, and a total memory bandwidth of 128Gbps. The TDP rating on this particular card is just 75Watts, and it won't need a connector from the PSU as it draws the requisite power straight from the PCI slot. Now, let's talk performance. According to Nvidia, the GTX 1650 will offer twice as much performance compared to something like, say, the GTX 950. So, if you are someone who's using an older GPU from two or three years ago, then this would be a good GPU to look into. Apparently, you can also switch from a GTX 1050 and expect a performance boost. © EVGA As mentioned earlier, the GTX 1650 GPU will go on sale immediately from a bunch of online and offline retailers for Rs. 12,999. However, you may have to shell out a bit more cash depending on what OEMs decide to make. In addition to the GTX 1650 desktop GPU, Nvidia also announced the GTX 1660 Ti and GTX 1650 for laptops. You can expect to start seeing the laptops powered by these GPUs in the coming months with a starting price of $800. © Nvidia As for the performance of the 1060 Ti powered laptops, Nvidia says you'll be able to play all modern titles like 'Overwatch', 'PUBG', 'Apex Legends' and 'Fortnite' with frames upwards of 100fps. If you don't mind playing the aforementioned titles at 60fps, then you can also pick up the laptops powered by the GTX 1650. OEMs including Dell, Acer, ASUS Alienware, HP, MSI, etc. will start putting out laptops powered by these GPUs soon. Acer Nitro 5, ASUS ROG Zephyrus G, Dell G5, Gigabyte AERO 15, Lenovo Legion Y7000, etc. are a few of the laptops which you can start seeing in the coming months, according to Nvidia.
  6. Just weeks after the launch of the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU, Nvidia has now introduced its smaller sibling, the GTX 1660. It's been made available in India for the price of Rs. 21,500 and it's the cheapest Turing-based Nvidia GPU that's out right now. © Nvidia Much like the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti, the new GTX 1660 offers Turing performance, making it comparatively better than the GTX 1060. This new card is using the same TU116 Turing GPU as the 1660 Ti, however, you're looking at 6GB DDR5 memory with a bandwidth of 192GBps, instead of DDR6. The GTX 1660 comes with 1,408 CUDA cores and has a boost clock speed of 1.8GHz. Nvidia also noted that one can easily increase the clock speed with some overclocking. On average, it's 35% faster than the GTX 1060 3GB at 1080p, and compared to the Maxwell-architecture GTX 960, it's 130% faster. In layman terms, the GTX 1660 delivers enough power to play even the modern titles at 1080p with enjoyable frame rates. © Nvidia The Nvidia GTX 1660, just like the GTX 1660 Ti, belongs to the GTX family of GPUs. So you'll be loosing out on features like ray-tracing. But considering the fact that the adaptation of ray-tracing is still in its infancy, we think you can sit out on the higher-end RTX cards for a bit longer if you are strictly on a budget. Specifications aside, the GTX 1660 also brings support for Adaptive Shading technology, which further improves performance in supported titles. You also get some game enhancing techs like Ansel, Freestyle, GameStream, ShadowPlay, and more. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 is now available from a lot of OEMs like Asus, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, Inno3D, MSI, Palit and Zotac.   7. If you are looking to get on the ray tracing train and want to own the latest piece of hardware by Nvidia without spending a lot, the RTX 2060 is probably your only option. It's based on Nvidia's new Turing architecture and is the least expensive version from Nvidia's latest lineup. © MensXP/ Akshay Bhalla The Founder's Edition of RTX 2060 retails in India for Rs 31,000 and is a worthy upgrade of its predecessor i.e. GTX 1060. Sure, it's a bit more expensive from the previous variant, however, you get to take advantage of the new Ray Tracing feature on a budget. It even has support for DLSS which lets the card render more realistic lighting in real-time. We used the card to test out two games that take advantage of this tech i.e. Metro Exodus and Battlefield V. In our test, the RTX 2060 easily matched the performance of equally priced GPUs with the added bonus of future-proof ray tracing support. It's the perfect choice for gamers who want to play games at 1080p resolution without shelling out a lot of money for an updated GPU. Specifications © MensXP/ Akshay Bhalla The Founders Edition 2060 is basically based on the same TU106 processor that can be found on the RTX 2070. It has a single 8-pin power connector and two fans to keep it cooled. At the back, it has two DisplayPorts, a USB-C port and HDMI 2.0 input. In terms of CUDA core count, it has the same count as the GTX 1070 i.e. 1920 but has 5 Giga Rays/s. It also has 6GB GGDR6 of VRAM which basically increases performance and reduces power consumption at the same time. It's definitely an upgrade considering the previous iteration had the older GDDR5X configuration. The RTX 2060 also has a boost clock of 1680 MHz which is at par with the GTX 1070. CUDA cores are basically the workhorses of a GPU that is responsible for handling all the heavy computing. It works alongside the VRAM to offer clear differences in FPS counts with or without ray tracing. If you want to know more about ray-tracing and DLSS, you can read all about it here. Performance © MensXP/ Akshay Bhalla At the moment, there are only two games out there that supports DLSS and ray tracing i.e. Battlefield V and Metro Exodus. Regardless of game support, the RTX 2060 is a solid card when it came to 1080 performance. We ran it through some benchmarks to see how it fared in certain games: 3D Mark First Strike Test We used 3DMark, as it can simulate different types of games and is one of the more demanding benchmark tests a GPU can be put through. It also tests out the GPUs power consumption and the average temperature in gaming conditions. The RTX 2060 scores a respectable score in each department. Here's what the RTX 2060 managed to score: It was efficient when it came to cooling and managed to run at a peak temperature of 64ºC. Sure, there aren't many games out there that support these two features but the future looks bright thanks to numerous developers have already announced support for future games. At the moment, we could only test Metro Exodus and Battlefield V that has support for both features. When both features are turned on, the difference in graphics and lighting fidelity is noticeable. It breathes new life in Battlefield V however we would only recommend running RTX with DLSS switched on. In fact, it would boost the frame rate past 60fps easily. With DLSS turned on, we achieved the frame rates mentioned above but it noticeably looked better. The lighting was much warmer and had a better representation of shadows with DLSS. The Final Say Not everyone can afford a top-of-the-line graphics card for 4K gaming. Especially when you live in India and gamers are looking for more affordable options. For someone who wants to game 1080p and doesn't want to spend a lot on a new GPU, the RTX 2060 is your best option right now. It supports ray train and DLSS and is also future proof for Full HD gaming. It takes advantage of Nvidia's new Turing tech and costs only Rs 31,000. This is the GPU for the masses and an affordable option in 2019.

NVIDIA launched a brand new GPU for users who are budget conscious but still want to get the best experience for that price, and AMD, just days after, announced its new chip that will compete directly with the RTX 2080. © AMD In a roundtable attended by Gizmodo, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang laughed off the competition and described AMD's announcement as “underwhelming”. He claimed that the RTX 2080 will “crush” AMD's Radeon VII in benchmarks. “The performance is lousy,” said Huang, referring to AMD's latest GPU, Radeon 7. © AMD NVIDIA introduced a ray-tracing to their new GPUs and you can read all about it here. AMD's latest GPU does not support this technology at the moment and the company claims it is 25 per cent more powerful than the previous generations. When asked, AMD CEO Lisa Su about Jensen's comments, Su responded, "What I would say is that we're very excited about Radeon VII, and I would probably suggest that he hasn't seen it yet." So, I guess we'll have to wait a few more weeks to see how things shake out with final hardware and drivers, and independent performance testing.

If you want the best and can afford it, it's gotta be a Titan GPU. Nvidia dropped a bombshell at the annual NIPS (Neural Information Processing Systems) conference in Long Beach, CA, with the introduction of its new TITAN V PC GPU. The graphics card consists of six graphics processing clusters, featuring 21.1 billion transistors, 12GB of memory, and 640 Tensor Cores, which are capable of performing 110 teraflops. So technically, it can hit 110 Tera flops, and keep in mind that's 9 times higher than the TITAN XP and 18 times higher than the fastest console, the Xbox One X. While you can play PUBG or any other game with this card, it's aimed towards researchers who need this kind of parallel processing power for running their scientific simulations or who scientists who want to build machine learning models. © Nvidia All of that power comes at a price, though. The card, which features 12GB of HBM2 memory, will retail for $2,999 (approx Rs. 1,90,000). We broke new ground with its new processor architecture, instructions, numerical formats, memory architecture and processor links,” said Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang. “With TITAN V, we are putting Volta into the hands of researchers and scientists all over the world.
