  1. Bangladesh cricket team has lodged an official complaint against poor umpiring and unacceptable sledging by the South African team after suffering heavy defeat in the first Test of the two-match series. Bangladesh players made several LBW appeals which were not given out by the on-field umpires and when they challenged the call, the batters survived on umpire's call on multiple occasions. One sided umpiring in #Durban #Southafrica #SAvsBAN #icc @ICC pic.twitter.com/VcbrD1Ja2h — Niloy Banerjee Himu (@niloy_himu) April 3, 2022 The umpiring was criticised so heavily by the Bangladesh team that their star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan took to Twitter to call for neutral umpires, saying that the Covid situation is ok in most parts of the world. BCB's cricket operations chief Jalal Yunus spoke to ESPNCricinfo and said that they had already complained about the umpiring in the ODI series and will file another one with the ICC about the first Test. Bangladesh Cricket Board will be officially lodging complaint to the ICC on umpiring after the Test series against South Africa. (Reported by Cricbuzz). — Mufaddal Vohra (@mufaddal_vohra) April 5, 2022 "We have already lodged one complaint about the umpiring after the ODI series. The match referee [Andy Pycroft] had an argument with our manager Nafees Iqbal, but then we gave him a written complaint. We will lodge another official complaint about this Test match," Yunus was quoted as saying by ESPNCricinfo. "They surrounded (Mahmudul Hasan) Joy when he went out to bat," he said. "They were saying something. He couldn't say anything back since he is a junior player. It was deplorable. Instead of controlling the situation, the umpires warned our players whenever we made complaints against the sledging." It came as a surprise to many cricket fans that Bangladesh players, who themselves never leave any chance to have a go at opposition, are complaining about being sledged on the field. Don't complain. Man it up. Take it and give back cold blooded. You're complaining, you're loosing. https://t.co/ZG4Vtqo9tj — M. Shoyeb U Mithu (@Shoyeb_Mithu) April 4, 2022Lousy excuse man just firm the L... So embarrassing https://t.co/DYKEGcGcFk — ikram (@Ikram_Sikdar) April 4, 2022What a joke cricket team Bangladesh is. Genuinely one of the worst behaved when it comes to sledging and send offs but the first to complain. Also I hope they realise the umpires get penalised for bad calls by the ICC panel and jeopardise their own careers by making such calls. https://t.co/g2aFTZKaoB — Rajeev Zaidi (@RajeevZaidi) April 4, 2022Losers https://t.co/PnpziJAsA2 — Lwando Sirenya III (@lonkzzz) April 5, 2022Ek tou inka apna hi rona dhona chal raha hota hai har match, har series mai https://t.co/nZzTxZJOct — ibu (@issuekhor) April 5, 2022Bangladesh would be looking to keep all the noise out and focus on the upcoming second Test match that is slated to start from April 8. 2. Bollywood director Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files has really worked its magic on viewers across India. Such has been the impact of the film that viewers have even stopped other movies in cinema halls in order for The Kashmir Files to be shown instead of it. © Zee Studios Even Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has admitted defeat that Kashmir Files has led to the drowning of his Bachchan Pandey film in theatres. © AA Films Now, the success of the film has also elevated the position and popularity of Vivek Agnihotri, with the director being in the news quite often these days. However, while he's gotten a lot of praise from people and fans, there have been times that it's not been for the right reasons. Well, Vivek has landed himself in trouble as he now faces a police complaint about his remark of comparing 'Bhopalis' as 'homosexuals'. "I was brought up in Bhopal, but I am not Bhopali. The word Bhopali has a different connotation. I will tell you in private or you can ask some Bhopali. If you call someone a Bhopali it means the person is homosexual who has nawabi desires," he said. Soon after this, a complaint was filed against him at Mumbai’s Versova Police Station on Saturday (March 26). According to reports, it was filed by a 27-year-old PR manager named Rohit Pandey, who is a resident of Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. Pandey sought the registration of an urgent FIR against Agnihotri under Sections 153A, 153B, 295A, 298, 500, and 505(2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for “insulting” and “disrespecting his native place. “My client states that he recently got acquainted with the said video and found it extremely shameful and embarrassing as he hails from Bhopal and that he completely vehemently denies and reject the said malicious slander committed by the accused not just against his native city being BHOPAL but has also defamed the whole state of Madhya Pradesh and India,” said the complainant’s advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh. © Instagram/Vivek Agnihotri The advocate also spoke on home Agnihotri "tarnished the reputation of the city, state and country” by “calling Bhopalis as homosexuals” and even "ashamed the homosexual community" as he has “made fun of them”. I have not asked anyone to vote for any particular candidate or party. I was just visiting our (Congress) booths set up outside polling stations.” © Instagram/Sonu Sood However, later that day, he took to Twitter to inform Election Commission members about other candidates who were trying to buy off votes. 8. Celebrity run-ins with law is not new and just recently, Vicky Kaushal landed in a legal trouble as a police complaint was filed against the actor for allegedly using a number plate belonging to the vehicle of a resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Yes, you heard it right. Kaushal was seen driving a vehicle for a sequence in his upcoming film co-starring Sara Ali Khan. As per the complainant, Kaushal's vehicle had a number plate similar to the complainant's vehicle. Here are the photos and videos: View this post on Instagram The complainant, Jai Singh Yadav, claimed that the vehicle number used in the movie sequence is his, adding that the actor can’t use that number plate without his permission. “The vehicle number used in the movie sequence is mine. I don't know if the film unit is aware of it but this is illegal. They can't use my number plate without permission. I have given a memorandum at the station. Action should be taken in the matter," news agency ANI quoted Yadav as saying. Responding to the complaint, Rajendra Soni, Sub-inspector in Indore's Banganga area, said, "We received a complaint. We will see whether the number plate was used illegally. Action will be taken as per provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. If the film unit is in Indore, we will try probing them." But, it was all a confusion. Indore police said that the two-wheeler that Vicky was seen riding for an upcoming film belonged to the production house and the confusion created because of a bolt that made the number 1 look like 4. “During the investigation of the number plate, we found out that all misunderstanding was caused by the bolt fixed on the number plate. Due to that bolt, the number one is looking like number four. The number used in the movie sequence belongs to the movie production. Hence nothing illegal had been found out in our investigation," Rajendra Soni, sub-inspector, Bangangam, said. On the personal front, Vicky has been in news for his wedding with Katrina Kaif. 11. Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, who are tying the knot on December 9, have finally reached Rajasthan with their families. While their pre-wedding festivities are expected to begin today, an advocate has filed a complaint against the couple in Rajasthan ahead of their marriage. For the unversed, Vicky and Katrina are all set to seal the deal at Six Senses Fort Barwara, Rajasthan in Sawai Madhopur district. Reportedly, it is also known as Chauth Ka Barwara and the location is popular for Chauth Mata Mandir. As per the latest reports, the complaint has been filed as the way to the temple has been blocked from December 6 to 12 because of Vicky and Katrina’s grand wedding. Hence, a lawsuit has been filed against both the Bollywood stars, the District Collector, and the manager of Six Senses Fort Barwara. Complainant Naitrabind Singh Jadoun, a Rajasthan-based advocate, has demanded that the road should be kept open for devotees who are facing problems in reaching the temple. The advocate has clarified that he holds no grudge against the soon-to-be-married couple or their wedding. Reportedly, he also clarified that he's doing this for pilgrims who visit Chauth Mata Mandir to offer prayers. Recently, there was a buzz that an OTT giant has offered a whopping Rs 100 crore to Vicky and Katrina for the coverage of their wedding. However, it is not yet known if the lovebirds have accepted the offer or not. After getting married in a traditional ceremony, the couple will resume work again and will not take a long break. While Vicky is expected to start work on Karan Johar-produced Govinda Naam Mera, Katrina will get busy with Tiger 3 with Salman Khan. View the full article
  12. If actress Kangana Ranaut would get a penny for every time someone would file a complaint against her or lodge an FIR or even report to ban the Manikarnika actress on social media, Kangana would probably have earned the same amount of money that she does by doing movies. We say this not because we have calculated the number of times she has been summoned or been complained against, but because it has happened again and we have legit lost count. © Twitter Turns out, after the actress lashed out on social media a few days ago when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that he would be repealing three farm laws in light of the farmer’s protests that had been going on for almost a year. Upset with the development, Kangana took to her Instagram account to call India a “Jihadist Nation" and even demanded that there should be dictatorship in the country. Rubbing several people the wrong way with her post, The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) filed a police complaint against actor Kangana Ranaut on Saturday for such "seditious" remarks on social media. © Kangana Ranaut_Instagram IYC national secretary Amreesh Ranjan Pandey and Ambuj Dixit, co-coordinator of the outfit's legal cell went to the Parliament Street police station in New Delhi to file a complaint and it seems like they weren’t the only ones who dismissed the actress for such derogatory remarks. Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa also spoke against Kangana Ranaut’s bad choice of words and insisted that the Government take action against her. He said, "She should either be put in mental hospital or in jail. We demand strict action from government for her hateful content on Instagram." Manjinder Singh Sirsa also slammed the actor over her alleged derogatory remarks targeting Sikhs and said the government should take action against her. "She should either be put in mental hospital or in jail. https://t.co/E78mamk1ni — Manjinder Singh Sirsa (@mssirsa) November 20, 2021 The complaint by the Youth Wing allegedly read, “Kangana Ranaut is a renowned actress and has a huge fan following of more than 7.8 million (78 lakh) people on Instagram. Therefore, her intentional, irresponsible and seditious posts have the ability to excite hatred, contempt and disaffection towards the republic of India.” It has been currently filed under sections 124A (sedition), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 505 (statements conducing to public mischief) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and the actress is yet to comment on the matter.
