  1. We know that Hollywood star and English actor Tom Hardy has a crazy fan following in India as well. And why not? Hardy has left fans stunned with his performances in so many movies over the years. The actor has starred in movies like Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy, Dunkirk, Legend, Inception, and even Marvel and Sony's Venom series. © Sony Pictures Not just that, it's also heard that Hardy, despite working in English and American cinema, has an eye out for Bollywood like so many other stars. In recent times, we've known that Bollywood and Hollywood might actually be closely integrated in the future with stars like Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Ali Fazal, and Deepika Padukone working in Hollywood films. It was also once noted that Leonardo DiCaprio and Shah Rukh Khan were supposed to work together. © Twitter/Faridoon Shahryar So, one can only wonder whether Hardy would jump at the opportunity of working in a Hindi film. Well, while he's yet to speak on it, we can bring you something as close as him working in a Bollywood movie. Back in 2018, Hardy and Sound Of Metal actor Riz Ahmed had been promoting their film Venom when they decided to channelize their inner Bollywood fan. They did that by recreating the iconic dialogue of Amrish Puri's Mogambo character from the film Mr. India (1987). © Zee5 The movie revolved around the story of Arun (Anil Kapoor), who lived with orphaned children, and how he fights against the evil Mogambo (Amrish Puri) using an invisibility watch. Well, in the video, Riz can be heard asking Hardy to give his best Mogambo take. “Tom Hardy gives us his best Mogambo – what’s the verdict? Think you can do better? Post yours here with #mogambo before the single drops October 3,” said Ahmed. Tom Hardy gives us his best #mogambo - what’s the verdict? Think u can do better? Post urs here with #mogambo before the single drops Oct 3rd... pic.twitter.com/TEkyvi9vdt — Riz Ahmed (@rizwanahmed) September 30, 2018 As seen in the video, his take on Mogambo is quite impressive. Maybe, he should be brought in as a master villain in one of the big banner Bollywood movies. Hardy should now star in the Venom 3 film that is also reported to have Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man. 2. Mrighdeep Singh Lamba's Fukrey, featuring Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chaddha, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, and Manjot Singh in central characters, was released in 2013. After a poor opening, the film witnessed a jump in collections with each passing day and turned out to be a sleeper hit. Later, in 2017, its sequel, Fukrey Returns, came out and became a huge hit by crossing the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. Since then, moviegoers have been waiting for its third part, and here comes great news for them. View this post on Instagram Well, Fukrey 3 has finally gone on floors after facing several delays amid the coronavirus pandemic. Yes, you read that right! Taking to Instagram, Varun Sharma aka Choocha shared the update with fans by posting the Fukrey 3 clapboard. In the caption, he wrote, "Shuru Hogayi!! जय माता दी" Take a look at his post below: View this post on Instagram As soon as the news came out, fans went crazy and expressed their excitement in the comments section. Most of them made it clear that they are really looking forward to the comeback of Choocha on the big screen after a gap of around 5 years. An Instagram user wrote, "Waiting for Choocha". Another user commented, "I really hope this series keeps up to the expectations. Better not turn out to be the ones like Dhamaal or Golmaal. Very fond of Fukrey". A third comment reads, "Desperately waiting to see Choocha Bhai (heart emoji)". Here are the reactions: © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram Ye thi good news. Sadly, it's time for a disappointing update. Looks like Ali Fazal aka Zafar Bhai won't be a part of Fukrey 3. Reportedly, the actor has opted out of the much-awaited sequel due to his packed schedule. He is currently busy with Vishal Bhardwaj's Khufiya and had no option to let go of the third installment of Fukrey. View this post on Instagram Revealing the same, a source informed Mid-Day, "Ali was busy till early February with the shoot of Kandahar, and promotions of Death on the Nile. Keeping his commitments in mind, Vishal sir lined up Khufiya for February". The source added, "Meanwhile, Mrighdeep got the combination dates of Richa, Pankaj Tripathi, Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, and Manjot Singh, and is eager to roll Fukrey 3. It’s an unfortunate turn of events, but Ali won’t be a part of it as he is busy with the thriller till March-end". Interestingly, Ali will not be replaced with another actor and the makers will tweak the plot to justify his absence in the film. View the full article
  3. Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar and singer Shibani Dandekar got married on Saturday, February 19 in an intimate wedding ceremony surrounded by family and close friends. Even though it was a small wedding, it was nothing short of magical and glamorous as it was studded with celebrities, mostly who are very close to the couple. One of the many celebs in attendance was superstar Hrithik Roshan, who has starred alongside Farhan in the hit 2011 film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, a beautiful movie about love and brotherhood. Now, a video from the wedding has gone viral in which both Hrithik and Farhan can be seen grooving to the catchy song ‘Senorita’ from the movie. View this post on Instagram In the video, the duo can be seen recreating the steps and setting the dance floor on fire while people around are cheering and clapping for them! I couldn’t help but smile broadly watching the video, as they looked nothing short of adorable trying to remember the steps, and Hrithik even forgot the hook step for a brief moment! All in all, it was a pure, wholesome moment captured on video and it was truly heartwarming to see Hrithik dance his heart out at his yaar ki shaadi, just like all friends do. Naturally, Twitter exploded the moment the video surfaced and people couldn’t help gushing over it: farhan and hrithik dancing on senorita on farhan’s wedding is all i needed to watch — golaaami (@margareeeeti) February 20, 2022just saw a video of farhan akhtar and hrithik roshan dancing on senorita at farhan's wedding and it kinda made my day it's so cuteeeee — chintukle pintukle (@stawbebbiecow) February 20, 2022Speaking of the wedding, the wedding festivities started on Thursday with the Mehendi. 4. Bought for Rs 5 crore, one of the first players to be bought at the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction was Ravichandran Ashwin who will be representing Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming season. A dynamic player with a plethora of bowling variations under his sleeve, Ashwin is always a good buy for any team, especially with the kind of form he has been showing with the ball across red and white-ball cricket and his prestigious heritage within the Indian T20 league. As soon as the 35-year-old cricketer went under the hammer, the Royals shared a post from their social media handle, welcoming the Chennai-born into their rebuilding family with the hopes of winning their first IPL trophy since the very first season in 2008. Never in any doubt. #AshIsARoyal | #RoyalsFamily | #TATAIPLAuction pic.twitter.com/KqHA21W4At — Rajasthan Royals (@rajasthanroyals) February 12, 2022 While most of the Royals fans were ready to welcome the man with open arms, some of the people went back a couple of years and relived one of the more controversial Ashwin moments from the league and started “congratulating” England cricketer Jos Buttler. Finally Jos bhai can leave non strikers end now — Rockstar MK (@RockstarMK11) February 12, 2022Buttler and Ashwin at the same franchise pic.twitter.com/4C1SkAKZBr — Msdian07 (@advait_anjankar) February 12, 2022Hum tho ab saath saath hi mate pic.twitter.com/h6ObHg7a09 — Hanny.Shaik (@hanny_shaik1) February 12, 2022U took him to save Buttler from mankad!! With a defeat looming, KXIP appeared to be keen to get Buttler out. They used spinners, pacers, and even a few googlies against the Englishman, but he seemed unfazed. This is when Ashwin made the unimaginable decision. When Buttler was out of the crease in the 13th over, Ashwin paused halfway through his bowling routine, turned around, and whacked the bails straight off the stumps next to him. Ravi Ashwin pic.twitter.com/iSEXxOmlQa — CRICKET VIDEOS (@AbdullahNeaz) February 12, 2022 After being 'Mankaded', Buttler had to leave the pitch when Ashwin appealed to the officials and the decision was left in the hands of the third umpire who had to declare him out. The whole issue went out of control in the coming days as Buttler’s English teammate James Anderson shared a video on the internet in which he was shredding Ashwin’s pictures using a paper shredder. On the other hand, the Indian bowler maintained that he did nothing wrong and was well within his rights to dismiss Buttler the way he did. Now that Ashwin is in the same team as Buttler, the latter can step out of the crease as much as he wants without the fear of getting ‘Mankaded’ again! View the full article
  5. Some Bollywood dialogues have given Indian cinema an edge over others. Some dialogues have made the characters of Indian actors unforgettable. ‘Mogambo khush Hua’ is one of the most iconic dialogues from the movie Mr. India. Interestingly, this dialogue is everyone’s favorite including Spanish actor Pedro Alonso aka Berlin from Money Heist. In his video interview, Alonso looked a little tensed to mimic popular dialogues but pulled off ‘Mogambo Khush Hua’ easily. Check out the full video here- Pedro Alonso also shares an interesting bond with the Indian culture and he has also authored the book 'Libro de Filipo'. In the video interview he was asked if the unnamed country could be India and Pedro says, “I have used references that come from the East, but I didn’t want to be specific about the country when I wrote the book.” © Netflix He also said that he keeps a copy of Bhagavad Gita and has a photo of Lord Ganesha in his house and wants to visit India soon. He said, “I have to visit India because I love the energy of Indian culture. Want to enter deeper and see it with my eyes.” Isn’t this amazing how Pedro aka Berlin pulled off the iconic Indian dialogue without any qualm? Let us know in the comments section below. 6. Leading veteran star (if there exists such a thing) of the Bollywood industry, Amitabh Bachchan has been one of the most active actors and delivered some of his finest performances in recent years. However, of late, first with the lockdown and now with the Maharashtra government’s suggestion of barring TV and film artistes above 65 years from resuming shootings, BigB expressed his concern about the fate of senior actors in the industry. Soon after, Amitabh Bachchan sought suggestions for “alternate work jobs” for himself on his blog post. Now, as per the latest developments, it turns out that a fan has offered a job opportunity to BigB and it’s so innovative that he happily claimed: “my job is now insured”. © BCCL Taking to his blog to post a follow-up story, he wrote, “Expect the unexpected from the Ef ever .. and one such brightness evolves in this creativity which kind of reflects one of my posers in the Blog.” He then went on to share his fan’s creative job offer that has him convinced now: Dear Mr Amitabh Bachchan, Re: Your Application for an alternate job vide Day 4539 In view of the permanent kind of temporary moratorium on work imposed on you by the governance due to your age, and the loss of revenue caused by the same, we are pleased to inform you that your application for an alternate job is temporarily under review for permanent reasons… (By the way, before we forget, please register our request that if you understand anything of what we are saying, please let us know too…) So, here is our offer - Sir, if you wish to do nothing, yet you want to feel as if you are something, then we suggest that you become the President of the United States… But if you want to do something which will last forever, then we suggest that you open a Peace Shop… Sell Peace… that shop can never go out of business… Let us draft a flowchart for you to prepare for the venture… 1) Vision - To provide a rolling plan for ways and means to acquire and sustain peace… 2) Mission - Make sure that it remains a rolling plan… Peace alive is peace dead… 3) Aims and Objectives - Define Peace, develop immeasurable standards for peace, and draft governance models for ensuring that the standards are impossible to achieve… 4) Policies - Develop and enforce codes of conduct which will make the objectives happen… 5) Systems - Draft and build an organisation of functions which are both horizontally and vertically indefinite… Make sure that everything and everyone is included… 6) Procedures - Develop and establish procedures for each function such that no single procedure is standalone… every procedure must rely on another to produce results… 7) Standards - Establish standards for each procedure… Make sure that the standards are not auditable… we live in a democracy… Use the preamble to beat audits… 8) Codes of Practice - Adopt all new codes of practice… Remember, history is recorded for telling us what has been defeated in the past… Historical successes are compromised… We sincerely hope that you will lead our temporary enterprise… We will wrap it up as soon as it shows signs of positive results… Looking forward to your favourable response, and assuring you of our best services at all times, We remain, Yours truly, Sd/- Who would have thought a commoner’s job offer would please Amitabh Bachchan so much? But well, surprisingly it did and now we all know why. View the full article
  7. The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is trying extensively to bring onboard the Indian audience as their dream to expand the viewership beyond the United States of America and Canada, and go global, becomes more and more realistic with time. But, in order to make that happen, it is an absolute essential that the WWE superstars get acclimated to the Indian culture, first and foremostly, Bollywood, that drives the 'Indian lifestyle' in a major way. In the lastest, WWE NOW INDIA's host, Gaelyn Mendonca, was out on a quest to make some of the most famous WWE performers shout out the most iconic dialogues through the generations of Hindi cinema and we've got to say, the results were fantastic: While the organisation's Chief Brand Officer, Stephanie McMahon tried out Aamir Khan's line from 'Dangal' and Nikki Bella did her best to say the understandably confusing Akshay Kumar dialogue from 'Rowdy Rathore', we had a tough time choosing between Kurt Angle's “Basanti, in kutto ke samne mat nachna” from the 1975 classic 'Sholay' and Roman Reigns' “Mogambo khush hua” from Anil Kapoor starrer 'Mr. India'. via GIPHY WWE also held a detailed tryouts in India a couple of weeks ago when superstars like Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods came to Mumbai to select the best crop of talented Indian in-ring performers and to provide them with the opportunity to become a part of the elite WWE family. In an exclusive interview with MensXP, the three wrestlers even revealed the important prerequisites to make it big in the pro-wrestling world. Ohh yes! They are here and they're EXCITED... for #WWETryoutIndia and Indian Pancakes! ð¥ððª@TrueKofi @WWEBigE @XavierWoodsPhD #IndiaWelcomesTheNewDay pic.twitter.com/1Et2I4ENYc — WWE (@WWEIndia) March 3, 2019 Here's an excerpt: “It definitely takes passion and drive to be on top. We're always trying to figure out how we can entertain at the highest level. As passionate as the WWE Universe is, they deserve it. You're going to get told 'no' a lot and you have to figure out how you're going to succeed. The 'Power of Positivity' is not just something that we preached on TV. We bring that mentality to the workplace,” said Kofi, the current WWE champion. Check out the full interview here.
  8. Ranveer Singh is known to be one of India's most candid and outspoken actors, who wears his heart on his sleeve and has a mouth to show for it too. Trust Ranveer to turn the most mundane activity into a fun-tastic one and spoil your senses with audio and visual proof of the same. So, recently, Ranveer proved this point once again when he caught up with trade analyst Komal Nahta on Zee Cafe's 'Starry Nights 2.Oh' where he made a revelation about his days as a struggling artist. He said that back in the day when he was a struggling actor, he dressed up as Arun from 'Mr. India' and showed up at casting director Shaano Sharma's house because he had heard the rumour that Shekhar Kapoor was all set to direct 'Mr. India 2'. View this post on Instagram Keep it ð¯ A post shared by Ranveer Singh (@ranveersingh) on Feb 8, 2019 at 9:45am PST “During my struggling days, it was rumoured that Shekhar Kapur was making Mr India 2 and I landed up at Shanoo Sharma's house dressed up as Anil Kapoor's character Arun,” Ranveer told Komal on the show. If it wasn't evident enough for his fans and followers, Ranveer just made it crystal clear that he can go to any lengths to get into the skin of the character and give his very best to every role that presents itself (or not). View this post on Instagram Uth jaa apni Raakh se, tu Udd jaa ab Talaash mein ð¦#mondaymotivation #gullyboy A post shared by Ranveer Singh (@ranveersingh) on Feb 10, 2019 at 9:57pm PST Be it is isolating himself from the world for 21 days to play Alauddin Khilji in 'Padmaavat' or doing his own groundwork and training with underground rappers for his upcoming release 'Gully Boy', Ranveer has always gone out of his way to make sure he gives 200 per cent to all his assignments. Talking about the kind of films he loves, where the hero is the master of the show and the film is larger than life, Ranveer said, “big muscles, big guns. Matlab mujhe bas yahi karna hai.” Ranveer couldn't have given a more earnest and honest reply than this.
