  1. ?Good Mourning? in theaters May 20th written + directed by me and @modsun,' announced Machine Gun Kelly on Instagram
  2. The Kashmir Files has emerged not only as a movie, but a phenomenon that has taken over the country in less than a week's time. Already on its way to the 100 crore club, this small budget movie has been able to do something that will hopefully instill faith in earnest moviemakers to aim for big things, even without 'connections' in Bollywood. View this post on Instagram Apart from its dream run at the box office in terms of collections (almost 70 Cr within 5 days of release), this film has also struck a chord with the public in general, which is previously unheard of. People are applauding the team for opening the floodgates of dialogue about what happened to lakhs of Kashmiri Pandits more than 30 years ago. View this post on Instagram Amidst this dialogue, a scene from the movie Bemisal (1982) starring Amitabh Bachchan has come under scrutiny, for a scene that talks about Kashmir. Here is a Youtube link of the movie. The controversial part starts 11:50 onwards, where Amitabh Bachchan starts talking about hill stations, and the conversation eventually moves to Kashmir. He goes on to say that every single hill station in India has been discovered by the British, except Kashmir, which was discovered by the Mughals. The camera then moves on to Rakhee, who praises the Mughals in terms of their music, paintings, and architecture. Some Twitter users have not taken this scene kindly at all, and posted the same on the platform. What lies Bollywood has been feeding us? #TheKashmirFiles has shattered it all. #IndicIdeas pic.twitter.com/6ijnhMEwSg — ब्रजेश जी (@acharyabrajesh) March 16, 2022Propaganda of bollywood vs reality... While this debate is essentially subjective and warrants thorough research (rather than giving credit to a single entity for discovering an important geographical location riddled with controversy and sensitivity), one must admit that the movie has opened up floodgates that will impact Bollywood in ways unimaginable henceforth. 3. After releasing the first look posters and teaser, the makers of Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah-starrer Jalsa have finally unveiled the trailer today (March 9). Interestingly, Kahaani too was released on the same date, a decade ago, and opened to huge critical acclaim. Jalsa, which is slated to premiere on Amazon Prime Video, will see the two powerhouse performers sharing the screen space for the first time. As she fights for justice, Vidya's character tries to help her. Overall, the trailer looks promising, thrilling, and intriguing with both the actresses playing meaty characters. The film's official synopsis reads, "A hit and run of an 18-year-old girl becomes the hub of a wheel that sets into motion many a spoke – a journalist, a raging mother, a cop, and a system all caught in an ethical dilemma. Questions raised only to realize that the truth is rarely pure and never simple". 4. Deepika Padukone, who is counted among the highest-paid actresses of Bollywood, entered the industry in 2007 with Faran Khan's Om Shanti Om opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Upon its release, the film turned out to be the highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year and Deepika won positive reviews for her performance as Shanti. Since then, she has been a part of several hit films including Cocktail, Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Piku, among others and has established herself as one of the most popular actresses of current times. View this post on Instagram But, did you know that she was about to make her Bollywood debut with a big film that featured her ex-boyfriend and colleague Ranbir Kapoor? Apparently, she was the first choice for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya. Yes, you read that right! As per reports, Deepika would have made her Bollywood debut with Saawariya opposite Ranbir. However, Bhansali finally decided to cast Anil Kapoor's daughter Sonam Kapoor in the film. View this post on Instagram Well, this speculation has been going on for years, however, Deepika and Sonam have never talked about it. Interestingly, Deepika's debut film Om Shanti Om and Bhansali's Saawariya, starring Ranbir and Sonam in the lead roles, was released on the same day in 2007. While Om Shanti Om was a blockbuster success, Saawariya turned out to be a huge disappointment. Later, Deepika finally teamed up with both Bhansali and Ranbir for different projects. View this post on Instagram She worked with Ranbir in films like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Tamasha. Her onscreen chemistry with Ranbir has always got a big thumbs up from fans. On the other hand, she has teamed up with Bhansali for three films till now - Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat. All three movies turned out to be big hits. Off-screen too, the actor-director duo shares a great bond and it'll not be surprising if they reunite for more films in the future. On the career front, Deepika currently has several interesting projects in her kitty. She will next be seen in Shakun Batra's Gehraiyaan. Co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa, the Shakun Batra directorial is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 11. She has also signed Pathan with Shah Rukh Khan, Nag Ashwin's next project opposite Prabhas, and the Hindi remake of The Intern co-starring Amitabh Bachchan. Source: Pinkvilla View the full article
  5. A very interesting announcement for the OTT world that has left people intrigued is YRF’s entry into this zone of content. YRF has announced its first maiden project for OTT titled The Railway Men. The series is based on the Bhopal gas tragedy and will see the coming together of some great talent pool which includes Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu, R Madhavan and Babil Khan. Courage. Grit. Resilience. Saluting #TheRailwayMen - the unsung heroes of 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy through @YRFEnt's 1st OTT project being directed by @shivrawail Streaming - 02 December 2022 pic.twitter.com/7KcJuudIM8 — Yash Raj Films (@yrf) December 2, 2021 The Railway Men will be directed by debutant Shiv Rawail, who is the son of filmmaker Rahul Rawail (Love Story, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya fame) and the show will start streaming from December 2022. A spokesperson at YRF described the intent behind the show and explained, “The Bhopal Gas Tragedy is the world’s worst industrial disaster that has impacted scores of people since the tragedy struck the city 37 years ago. At YRF, we are constantly trying to develop the best compelling stories for the audience and this is our tribute to the unsung heroes of the tragedy who, despite saving thousands of lives on that fateful day, are still unknown to people across the world.” People obviously have a lot of expectations given the theme of the show. Hope you have shown some courage to show true political facts & bitter truths of that time including Rajiv Gandhi,Arjun Singh's & Anderson's role else it's useless to watch because it doesn't help those victims who are not yet got any justice. — im_watching_you (@satyash79287170) December 2, 2021Irfan Sir aaj bohat khush hote.️ pic.twitter.com/P8B7iWjHue — Vaibhav (@whybhav__) December 2, 2021 With such a stellar cast, we doubt they can go wrong with this one.
