  4. Some people are born to win everyone's heart with their good deeds. However, only a few are able to help others even after their demise. In Bollywood too, many celebrities lend a helping hand to people in need. While most of them prefer to remain anonymous, others opt to carry on their good act even after leaving the world. 5. The famous line ‘ye dosti hum nahi todenge’ sometimes doesn’t stand true for all friendships. Bollywood and the world of glamour is a tricky place to maintain relationships but some celebrities have managed to stay close through thick and thin. However, some friendships have faded with time and some have gone down a level of being ‘social friends’ only. Here are few celebrities who were extremely close back in the day: 1. Suzanne-Hrithik & Arjun-MehrThe two ex-couples used to be very thick before they got divorced and sadly all four went their separate ways. However, Suzanne and Hrithik continue to be very good friends and even take vacations together with their kids. © instagram 2. Kareena Kapoor & Esha DeolNot many know but long before the internet and the paparazzi clicking stars at social gatherings became normal, the two actresses were extremely close but not much was written about them. There are various reasons known for their friendship going sour, including Esha not liking Kareena’s statements around her closeness with Zayed Khan back in the day. © Twitter 3. Jacqueline Fernandez & Sonam KapoorThe two beautiful actresses were once upon a time extremely close and were spotted at events together. However, while the friendship seems to exist even now, they are not the ‘best of friends’ or the ‘3 AM’ friends they once called each other. © instagram 4. Katrina Kaif & Alia BhattThe two leading ladies of Bollywood are still cordial and close but probably not the BFF’s they were, once upon a time. Katrina was in a steady relationship with Ranbir Kapoor and now she is married to Vicky Kaushal, while Alia Bhatt is now all set to get hitched with Ranbir this year. © instagram 5. Riteish Deshmukh & Shreyas TalpadeThe two actors who have previously worked together in films like Housefull 2 and Apna Sapna Money Money, were also close friends before reportedly their Marathi films clashed at the box-office. Apparently Shreyas wanted Riteish to push the release of his film Lai Bhaari, so it didn’t clash with Shreya’s Poshter Boyz. © instagram 6. Salman Khan & Sanjay Leela BhansaliThe duo which worked their magic in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam have been friends for years before the relationship fell apart after his movie Inshallah, which was supposed to star Alia Bhatt along with Salman, got shelved. The reasons were reportedly creative differences and while the director has already offered the olive branch of peace, he’s waiting on Salman Bhai to extend the hand of friendship now. © Twitter View the full article
  6. The only movie that is being discussed right now throughout the length and breadth of the country, is The Kashmir Files. Perhaps in the history of Indian cinema, it has happened for the first time that a movie has garnered so much attention from the common man, despite having no big names or groundbreaking promotions under its belt. 14. Alia Bhatt, who started off her career with a Dharma movie - Student Of The Year and soon went on to become the butt of a national joke after she guessed the name of India’s President wrong, was perhaps the one actress who learnt how to take everything in her stride, very early on. Now, famously known for her roles in films like Raazi, Highway and Gully Boy, Alia proved to be an ace actress and has done enough work in the industry to support that claim. In fact, one might say that she has proven to be good at almost everything. ‘Almost’ being the operative word here, because we might just have found out an alternate career for Alia that she should never take! It’s called - rapping. Recently surfaced in a thread on Reddit, Alia Bhatt’s video from IIFA awards in 2017 left us in quite a state of shock after we heard the young actress make an attempt at rapping during her performance and hilariously failed. Dressed in a casual pink crop top, a pair of denims and too much confidence for her own good, Alia is performing to her own hit numbers on the stage when she starts singing along to the songs ‘Kar Gayi Chull’ and ‘Saturday Saturday’. via GIPHY Now, our feelings after having seen the video (for the sake of my work, no less) was pretty much the same as the awkward expressions given by singer Armaan Malik and Alia’s co-actor Varun Dhawan, when the camera moved towards them. They were just as stunned and embarrassed as we were, to say the least. © Reddit © Reddit As were the Reddit users who couldn’t stop talking about Alia’s rapping. One user wrote, “so embarrassing for her life and soul,” while another one commented, “This is a clear representation of a person who thinks they’re the coolest in their head but come across like this.” © Reddit Quite a few people called it a cringe-fest as they wrote, “When you take your bathroom singing skills too seriously,” after being highly unimpressed by her off-key and high pitched singing. Guess it should be okay to stick to what you know best and for Alia Bhatt, that is definitely not singing! Source: Reddit View the full article
  15. For a long time, society has kept coming up with different barometers to determine the worth of a man. Sometimes, it’s their profession that makes men important, sometimes, it’s their wealth, and often times the lack of melanin in their skin makes them more appealing. But far too often, a man’s physical attributes seem the easiest to target. While women have begun to find appreciation in all shapes and sizes, it’s not always been the same for men. A physically domineering man is seen as an ‘alpha’, whereas a shorter lad is considered a ‘beta’. Traditionally, it’s always been the taller and more muscular man who’s considered to be superior to the rest. While the entire concept of the alpha-male is quite ridiculous - an ill-informed piece of research that became a marketing gimmick - the impact of such a standard has unfortunately been far too real. But it’s 2022. And thankfully, more and more people are waking up to this scam and we’ve some celebrities to thank for it. While most of them may not be overtly public and honest about their heights like Tom Holland, their superstardom has gone a long way to show that times are changing and that there’s never been a better time to be a short guy: 1. Tom Holland © Reuters Standing a decent 5’8” tall, the Spiderman: Far From Home star has been doing the festival rounds with his towering co-star and girlfriend, Zendaya, by his side. Both Tom and Zendaya have been vocal about the ludicrous standards surrounding men’s heights, where the man is always expected to be taller than the partner. Good for them! 2. Allu Arjun © Allu Arjun Allu Arjun has always been a superstar, but Pushpa: The Rise has increased his pan-India appeal. He carried the entire film on his shoulders, and at no moment did you care about the fact that the stylish star is reportedly 5’6”. 3. Salman Khan © Twitter/ANI In a TV interview, Sushmita Sen had shared a nugget from the sets of Biwi No. 1. Reportedly, Salman Khan asked Sushmita why she wasn’t wearing her heels for the scene when the 5’9” actress replied that Director, David Dhawan, wanted her to wear flats so that she won’t tower over the 5’6” Salman Khan. To which, Sallu Bhai confidently encouraged her to wear the heels as he wasn’t insecure about a woman towering over him. Honestly, we’re a little surprised by this take coming from the Sultan star. 4. Shahrukh Khan © Twitter/ANI 5’7” - The man who’s stolen the hearts of millions across the world, Shah Rukh Khan is undoubtedly the poster-child for men who are comfortable in their own skin. He might be 5’7”, but the shade of his superstardom can dwarf anyone who’s in a room with him. 5. Shahid Kapoor © Shahid Kapoor Apart from playing problematic characters like Kabir Singh from time to time, Shahid Kapoor is actually a fairly charismatic actor. The national heartbreaker is 5’7”, but his fans don’t seem to mind that one bit. 6. Saif Ali Khan © Twitter/ANI Saifu’s versatility is one of his greatest strengths, and as an actor, he has an incredible range. Perhaps it may have something to do with his 5’7” build being easier to frame and shoot. 7. Aamir Khan © Twitter/ANI 5’5” - India’s 'Mr Perfectionist' has delivered hits after hits in his long and fabled Bollywood career. Whether it be as Sahir, the villain in Dhoom 3, or Siddharth Marathe, the scrappy protagonist from Ghulam, Aamir Khan has unequivocally captured the audience’s attention without them ever questioning his 5’5” frame. 8. Ram Charan © BCCL Ram Charan will soon be seen in Rajmouli’s epic RRR as the freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju. The film has gratuitous action sequences and not once does the 5’8” star look out of place amidst all that tension and drama. So, it’s time to throw all your insecurities about your height out of the window. There’s no better way to be an attractive and confident man than to be comfortable in your skin. Disclaimer: Do note, all these heights are ball-park figures as different platforms record their numbers differently. Perhaps it may have something to do with short men being afraid to reveal the actual measurements, in case they’re seen and treated differently by their audiences. View the full article
