  1. Looks like it's finally happening! Yes, we're talking about the most talked about wedding this year - that of Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif. While everyone has been looking for details about the super secret event (the paps are trying their best tbh), people also want to know how and when this rather unexpected love story began. via GIPHY While there has been no official information from the subjects themselves, it looks like the beginning of this love story may have been back in early 2019, when the world was a 'normal place', without the all-encompassing, unwanted presence of a pandemic. Vicky and Katrina had appeared for an interview together for the first time, and had an honest, heart to heart conversation that was relatable to the masses despite them being 'superstars' - a rarity amidst the glam and glitz of Bollywood. © Youtube/FilmCompanion There was no moderator present, which was perfect in hindsight as that allowed them to have a conversation directly with each other. While both of them are as different as chalk and cheese in the realm of movies, one look at their chemistry and it would be clear that both are actually extremely sorted, down-to-earth individuals who are completely attuned to their respective emotions and aspirations. © Youtube/FilmCompanion © Youtube/FilmCompanion While Katrina was her polished, well-spoken self, Vicky exuded the goofy, guy-next-door vibe who is honest about his roots, and watching them share details about their lives with each other, inside and outside of work, was absolutely heartwarming. There were some lighthearted BTS moments also, like this one here. No one knew she's asking her future hubby for a lip blam #KatrinaKaif #VickyKaushal #VickyKatrinaWedding pic.twitter.com/w4Xxbt6oyR — Zoya (@Kattysupremacy) December 3, 2021 Their chemistry was palpable right from the get-go, when Vicky referred to the poem 'If' by Rudyard Kipling while explaining how he views personal success and failure, and as soon as he named the poem, Katrina ended up quipping the gist of that particular line Vicky was referring to. *soothing, romantic music plays in our head in the background* via GIPHY At one point during the interview, Vicky also mentions that his mother is extremely perceptive, and just gets to know if something is wrong with him just by looking at his walk, and how that keeps him grounded. Katrina responds by saying: "She sounds like a wise woman!". Take a look at the interview here. View the full article
  2. Saif Ali Khan is not on social media platforms but often shares his views and opinions during interviews. Unfortunately, he has also been trolled several times for various reasons. Despite that, Saif remains unaffected and knows a way to tackle online trolls. Even his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan is no stranger to such remarks on the internet. The couple recently garnered hate for keeping their son's name, Jehangir (Jeh) I mean, no matter what you do, people leave no chance to sling mud at others. © Instagram/Kareena Kapoor Khan © Instagram/Kareena Kapoor Khan In a recent interview, Saif spoke about trolling and also mentioned the time he would look himself up every now and then, which would spoil his mood. This was when Kareena flat out asked him to stop reading such things about himself on the internet. He said in the interview, "I don't read (troll comments). I am off it and it is really cool. Because it also helps me focus. It can get addictive, you know. I can google myself and start checking out what I said when and then I read something I don't like and it spoils my mood. My wife told me, ‘you know what just stop doing it’. I had stopped for a while and I really started saying what do I do." © Instagram/Kareena Kapoor Khan He further added that social media is dangerous, and we don't get to know who is talking to whom. In addition, he said, "People throw a lot of violence around and stuff like that. So it can get a little wrong.” Even Arjun Kapoor, who was being interviewed with Saif, said, "It’s the same people who follow you so it is very confusing. It’s interesting that they actually just want attention. I feel social media is just one part of my life as a human being, as an actor, as a star.” While Saif is not on social media, Kareena made her debut on Instagram just last year. She often takes to her feed and shares endorsement deals and pictures with her family. Dear Saif, You were flop for so many years, despite that you keep getting opportunities unless you did Dil Chahta Hai , All your films were sheer crap you keep getting work because you belong to the fraternity.#SaifAliKhan pic.twitter.com/nAmdiPhNWW — नादान परिंदा (@ThatSaneGuy_) July 2, 2020 Saif was also trolled during Sushant Singh Rajput's untimely death. There was a massive debate on nepotism in the industry when Saif opened up about being the 'victim of nepotism'. This, however, didn't go well with the audience. © Instagram/Kareena Kapoor Khan On the work front, Saif will be seen in Bhoot Police starring Arjun Kapoor, Fatima Shaikh, Yami Gautam, Jacqueline Fernandez and several others. Kareena, on the other hand, would be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha. View the full article
  3. Kartik Aaryan has a relatively tight schedule in the coming months. He is currently dabbling with five films that are in production presently. Add to that, brand campaigns, promotions and a YouTube channel -- we wonder how he does it all. However, this packed schedule, so far, hasn't come in the way for Kartik to explore new hobbies. Like his fellow actors, John Abrahm and Ranbir Kapoor, it looks like Kartik Aaryan has taken up biking as a new hobby. For his multiple shoot locations, he's started commuting on his bike. It is clear that he has ditched the comfort of a car to experience the thrills of riding a bike. © Viral bhayani Kartik Aaryan's outfit consisted of a baggy sweatshirt and a pair of track pants by hummel called the Nathan pants that are currently on sale and retail at half price at Rs.1,999 on their website. He followed it up with white shoes. On the accessories front he wore a beanie and a pair of shades. © Viral bhayani Kudos to Kartik Aaryan for picking an 'safe' outfit for the road. 5. 2020 has surprised, rather shocked us beyond our imagination. We’ve seen weeks when flamingos freely walked on streets and the air quality improved which was good news for everyone. We’ve also experienced times when somebody else’s demise, felt like a personal loss — be it a Bollywood star or a relative. But in all the situations we’ve faced this year, there’s been a sense of community. Every event in our lives has given us a reason to keep growing. 6. The year 2018 was really crucial for the Indian cricket team. The Virat Kohli-led side didn't just appear clinical at home but also proved their credentials in the multiple overseas series they played. Testing young blood with experienced campaigners, the new-look Indian team has now established themselves as serious contenders for the ICC World Cup in England & Wales. In a bid to find the perfect team, the Indian selectors and team management were seen trying all possible options in specialist roles in the recent series. And, it finally boiled down to 15th April when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 15-man squad for the ICC mega event. While the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be seen occupying the top-order, the inclusion of KL Rahul, MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Vijay Shankar, Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya all provide adequate options to the Indian team in the middle-order. The bowling department looks well equipped with Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar bolstering the pace attack and the likes of Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravindra Jadeja adding teeth as spinners. BREAKING: India have named their #CWC19 squad! pic.twitter.com/mMXt5kAG6Y — Cricket World Cup (@cricketworldcup) April 15, 2019 Though the Indian squad looks perfectly balanced, the notable omissions of Rishabh Pant and Ambati Rayudu have irked cricket pundits and fans alike. Both Pant and Rayudu were in the fray for the World Cup, but the Indian selectors showed faith in Karthik and Shankar to do the job for India in the all-important World Cup. While Pant staked his claim to a World Cup spot on the back of blazing batting performances, Rayudu, too, was looked upon as a potential candidate who could solve India's No. 4 problem. However, the Indian selectors thought otherwise and in a bid to derive team balance, they went for safer and more proven options in Karthik and Shankar. There is no doubt over Pant's ability with the willow. On his day, the dashing left-hander is more than capable of running away with the game on the back of innovative strokes he boasts of in his armoury. But, Pant is a gamble in any game. On a day, his shot might come off and on the other, it won't. And, there's little doubt over his unpredictable batting. © BCCL However, Pant's omission for Karthik wasn't decided just on batting. The fact that India needed an extra wicket-keeping option is probably what ruined Pant's chances. While the young gun is undeniably a batting star for the future, his wicket-keeping skills are still a work in progress - something that probably gave Karthik leverage in his selection. "In unison, we all felt either Pant or DK will come into the XI if Mahi (Dhoni) is injured. "If it's a semi-final or an important game, wicket-keeping also matters. That's the only reason we went ahead with Dinesh Karthik. Otherwise, Rishabh Pant was almost there," MSK Prasad, the chief national selector, revealed. The competition between Shankar and Rayudu was also decided on similar lines. Rayudu was being looked upon as a viable No. 4 option after he showed consistency with the willow in the recent series. But, barring his batting might, Rayudu doesn't bowl (thanks to an ICC ban in January) and his fielding, alone, is just not good enough to make the cut. © BCCL On the other hand, Shankar has proven his mettle in the limited opportunities he got. His batting bolsters the Indian middle-order, while his medium-paced deliveries provide an extra bowling option to the 'Men in Blue'. And then, when it comes to fielding, Shankar's 'bullet throw' in the first T20I against New Zealand earlier in February should put all the doubts to rest. “After the Champions Trophy, we tried quite a few middle-order batsmen. We also tried Shreyas Iyer and Manish Pandey. We gave a few chances to Rayudu, but what Vijay Shankar offers is three-dimensional. Apart from his batting, he can bowl if the conditions are overcast, which we might encounter in England. And he's a fantastic fielder. That's what went in Shankar's favour. He's a batsman who can bowl. We're looking at him at No.4 (to begin with). With Dinesh Karthik in and Kedar Jadhav, we've plenty of options at No. 4 right now," Prasad said. Though it's a little too early to predict whether the inclusion of Shankar and Karthik ahead of Pant and Rayudu will work out, it surely gives India enough balance to adapt to the tournament as it progresses to the knockout stages.
  7. The world of cricket is not new to superstars. The sport, in its rich legacy, has seen a lot of cricketers ruling the gentleman's game across different eras. The legend of Sir Donald Bradman still sounds afresh every time someone mentions his name. The great Sachin Tendulkar, despite his retirement, continues to rule the hearts of cricket fans across the globe. Similarly, in the modern-era of the game, no other cricketer has managed to capture our imagination the way Virat Kohli has with his exploits on the field. Proving to be a cut above the rest, the Indian captain continues to prove to be a nightmare for the opposition bowlers. His artistry with the willow has earned him plaudits across the globe, while his leadership skills has aided Team India in crunch situations. Kohli has garnered respect from the opposition players and is cherished by fans for his might. Such has been his popularity that he has also become a prized-possession of the broadcasters and popular brands. Thus, when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Kohli will be rested for the 2018 Asia Cup, the official broadcaster of the tournament - Star - was left ruing the absence of the Indian captain. MSK Prasad, the chief of selectors, had announced that Kohli had been playing continuously for quite some time and the Indian cricket board decided to hand him the period of rest. But, Star is clearly not impressed. © Reuters In an email to Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Game Development Manager Thusith Perera, host broadcaster Star expressed their displeasure, stating how Kohli's absence will impact the financial aspect of the coverage. "In our view, the announcement of the absence of one of world's best batsmen from the Asia Cup, only 15 days before the commencement of the Asia Cup, is a severe dent to us (event broadcaster) and will severely impact our ability to monetise and generate revenue for the tournament," the email stated. In response, BCCI CEO Rahul Johri claimed, "Kindly note that the team selected by BCCI selection Committee (an expert body comprising of former cricketers) to participate in the Asia Cup as announced on 1st September 2018 is the best available team." “Please also take note that selection of the best available team for participation in a tournament is the sole prerogative of the selection committee of BCCI. It is not open for Asian Cricket Council or its broadcaster to insist on the selection of any particular player and/or to question the expert opinion of the Selection Committee as to which is the best available team for a particular tournament,” Johri's mail claimed. © Reuters Now, it's needless to say that Kohli's absence at the ongoing Asia Cup will understandably have some financial impact for the host broadcasters. But, as the BCCI's response reveals, the right to select the team is solemnly reserved for the Indian board and its selectors. A broadcaster can complain and whine about it, but they cannot force a cricket board to select a team or player to their whims and fancies. “The matter was discussed with the BCCI. We have been informed by BCCI that best available team is participating in Asia Cup 2018. Therefore, we would like to reiterate that ACC is fully compliant with its MRLA obligations,” the ACC game development manager wrote in a letter to Star. More importantly, Kohli has been a workhorse for his side, playing continuously series after series, tours after tours. He was part of India's rigorous tour of England that included three ODIs and T20Is alongside five Tests. Being the most important and crucial batsman for his side, Kohli's workload needs to be handled properly by the BCCI which probably explains their decision to hand him some much-needed rest for the Asia Cup. © Reuters The Indian team cannot afford Kohli to exhaust his energy and vigour in a tournament like Asia Cup where Pakistan seems to be the only competition for them. In the bigger scheme of things, the Indian board would want the skipper to be ready and fresh for the much-anticipated tour of Australia that poses a bigger challenge Down Under. Slated to begin from 21st November, India's tour of Australia will be comprised of three ODIs, four Tests and three T20Is - spanning over two months. Following their exploits in Australia, the Indian team will then travel to New Zealand for five ODIs and three T20Is beginning from 23rd January, 2019. Once that comes to an end, the sub-continent giants will host the Australian side for five ODIs and two T20Is in a two-month long tour which is scheduled from 24th February till 13th March. The months of March and April next year will then see the likes of Kohli and his teammates plying their trade in the twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). And, once that comes to an end, the world of cricket will brace for the coveted 2019 ICC World Cup slated from 30th May till 14th July. Given the tournaments and tours scheduled for Men in Blue, the BCCI's decision to rest Kohli might not have fared well for the broadcasters, but it undeniably an important and well-thought call for Team India which heavily relies on its skipper to get past their opponents across the three formats in cricket.
  8. If you have followed my work or had a look at the evidence-based fitness industry scene in the past decade, you pretty much must have heard that your body composition goals do not depend on eating clean or eating healthy all the time. Your weight loss comes down to your calories in vs. calories out aka calorie balance and to ensure that you are losing fat, it is necessary that you consume adequate Protein and lift weights 3 to 4 times in a week. And no, this is not a thing that I am claiming from anecdotal observations. This has been concluded via research and holds true for anyone and everyone. What this means is that you do not have to EXCLUSIVELY eat clean foods or the so-called healthy foods all the time. As this idea falls flat in its face by assuming certain foods are good for you and certain foods are bad for you. One food in particular never changes your body composition. It is the entirety of your diet and it has been shown that moderating this so-called junk food can lead to higher dietary satisfaction and adherence. Keeping this in mind, your beloved McDonald's can be had as an option occasionally while dieting. 9. Shah Rukh Khan needs no introduction. He is one of those actors who is known and loved worldwide. So much so, that for some people abroad, SRK is what comes to their mind as soon as they hear the word Bollywood. From Sophia the robot, to Hollywood actors like Hugh Jackman, the Badshah of Bollywood has earned a fan in celebrities of every country and age. But there is one celebrity who is pretty much obsessed with him. But the problem is that you can't see him. via GIPHY Or maybe you can now. If you still haven't got it (shame on you), it's John Cena you guys. via GIPHY Time and again, John has made it evident that he looks up to Shah Rukh Khan and that his words have inspired him. And just like in the past, he posted yet another random picture of SRK with one of his quotes on Instagram and very casually left his Indian fans shook. A post shared by John Cena (@johncena) on Feb 19, 2018 at 10:14am PST Cena's account is as weird and random as it can get, as he is known for posting just about anything and everything that fancies him and that somehow includes a lot of 'India' related things. Like this one of Rahul Dravid and his quote. A post shared by John Cena (@johncena) on Dec 10, 2017 at 1:50am PST Or this one with a 'Happy Republic Day' message on 26th January for his Indian fans. A post shared by John Cena (@johncena) on Jan 26, 2018 at 6:59am PST He also posted a picture of Aamir Khan once with no explanation or caption whatsoever. A post shared by John Cena (@johncena) on Jan 24, 2018 at 7:31am PST And of course, he has posted about SRK and his wise words previously too. A post shared by John Cena (@johncena) on Jan 10, 2018 at 7:15am PST The two have even indulged in a Twitter conversation last year and this was just what their fans needed. It's clear that John Cena loves India and its people and now we only hope that SRK notices this too and fulfills our dream of seeing the two together.
  10. How we act and behave in society and among our friends creates a vibe around us of being smart or dumb. Maybe we can change it if we pay attention to our mistakes and start working on them. See, if a child shows signs of hyper intelligence at a very young age, and elders around him always encourage and consider him to be an intelligent child, he or she, more often than not, turns out to be the smart one. We do not have scientific proof for this but in this instance the confidence in child plays a huge part. So, if you are surrounded with negative people who may not always be trying to pull you down but undermine you every day. Cut them out of your life. See the strength in you, and know you can change for the better and face your fears. Be self-confident. Here are few points which will help you stay on the path to wisdom. 1. Do not speak unless and until needed. You may sound stupid. © Jan Jansen Have you ever been in a situation where you are forcibly trying to fill the gap by saying something? More than often, what you say to break that silence and start a healthy constructive conversation, sounds stupid to you the next moment you say it. You regret saying those words and feel as if they were not needed and why couldn't you have stayed silent like the person in front of you did. You feel stupid and awkward at the same time. Remember that silence can be your friend if you know when to open your mouth and when to keep it shut. And in that too by being silent I mean being in peace, calm your mind. So stay calm let your silence speak. 2. Do not argue with a stubborn person © Pinterest If you are arguing with a stubborn person, you are simply wasting your time and energy. It is better to stay silent and focus on your work and life. So, the next time someone is dragging you into such a conversation and you know that the guy is stubborn, ask yourself what good does this conversation bring. It might only lead to a brawl and will also spoil your mood. 3. If you are carrying out a task for someone, do it selflessly. If you keep on reminding them of your favor, your good work loses its worth. © Pinterest Suppose you lend some money to one of your trusted friends in need. But, if you keep on flaunting your 'helpful gesture' to everyone you meet, the good deed loses its value. 4. Never over promise and under deliver © Pinterest It always feels better if you under promise but over deliver but you feel even worse when you over promise but under deliver. Be a man of your word. 5. Never purchase anything which goes over your budget. You will only savor it when you are financially free. © AZ Quotes Suppose you want to buy an iPhone but you know that you will have to pay hefty monthly EMI's. But, if you can deal with a mid-budget phone till you can afford an iPhone or something of the sort, it would have made for a more sensible decision. You'll remain stress-free and can also enjoy your possession as a luxury and not a debt. 6. Do not hesitate to be the first to help the one in need. © Pinterest Doing something for others make us feel better, but it makes us feel even better when we can help someone in need. Who knows, yu might need that same helping hand when you are in a trouble and someone from nowhere pops up to just help you. 7. Never share your plan in advance with anyone or everyone you meet. It often sets you back. © THe Telegraph Once you disclose what you wish to achieve well before evening embarking on a journey, it often becomes a journey you never take. This happens primarily because of two reasons: As soon as you put that idea into someone else's head, and that fool shares it with another person, a cycle of rumors on which you have no control of begins. Your mind starts conceiving that you have already traveled the journey without actually making any real life progresses towards it. Real obstacles appear when you begin walking on the real path, and it's then when you feel the heat of that exponential peer pressure you had mistakenly built. Now that friend or cousin of yours appears no better than a taunting audience when you fail to live by the promise you had made to yourself. 8. Do not share secrets from your personal life with anyone. © Thinkstock/Getty Images Do not make it a casual subject of conversation within your friends. You might feel like a lion for a moment but you will regret it later. 9. Do not hesitate to ask a question when in doubt. © AZ Quotes If you keep a question pending for long, it becomes almost impossible to ask it later. If you are in doubt, ask a question instantly to lessen the load even if you need to raise your pitch or consult the person in private, just do it anyway. 10. Do not insult anyone © Thinkstock/Getty Images Never ever insult anyone. What if you scold someone less fortunate or privileged than you? Would you be able to free yourself from the regret it brings? Do not lose your calm and even if you lose it, do not foret to stay in control and not lose your mind. 11. Do not share how much you earn. It puts everybody's eye on your money. © Thinkstock/Getty Images Some people have a habit of borrowing money all the time. Better stay away from the company of such people. If you share your bank balance details with them, you will never be able to say no to them and will also not be able to save or invest your hard earned money. 12. Do not share your credentials like account passwords with anyone. © Keep Calm-o-Matic You do not need to prove your trustworthiness to your friends, in this case particularly. Be smart, because if you get cheated later, you will be considered a fool. 13. Do not look for the excuses, instead look for an alternate compensating plan. © Brainy Quote Not being able to reach office on time and then you lie that you were stuck in traffic and then this becomes your habit. Salute our creativity and add more and more excuses to the list. You know what the final result will be. A steep and downward curve. So, instead of looking for new excuses, look for an alternative plan which would compensate you for the loss inccurred. 14. Making mistakes is human. Making mistakes without correcting them is insanity
  11. After I read this piece of news, I’m not kidding, but I actually Googled "How stupid is America?". And to be honest, I really shouldn’t have because, well, that is never a question one has to ask. They elected Trump as their President; obviously, that’s stupider than stupid. But, well, I like to believe that the land of freedom, or so they believe, should have some more sense than to believe that chocolate milk… wait for it… comes from… just you fucking wait… brown cows! Pexels Holy Lord! The mystery of life has been SORTED! We Can all now go and die, apocalypse or not. The Americans have solved the mystery of life and probably the hidden agenda behind our very country’s BJP-oriented logic of saving cows… makes total sense now. Plain milk from white cows, chocolate milk from brown cows and probably dark chocolate milk from the black ones because, let’s face it, milk is white, so even black cows will probably just give you dark chocolate milk, no? Oh, don’t question my sanity. I’m just going by the American logic, according to this incredibly telling survey they took. According to this survey, conducted by the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy, around 7 per cent of Americans believe that’s where chocolate milk comes from—Brown fucking cows. The survey was circulated among 1,000 Americans. And, sure, when you take it as being merely 7 out of the 100 per cent of the population, it doesn’t look so bad. I mean we’re probably 40 per cent illiterate as an entire country anyway. But, convert that percentage into actual figures and you get a staggering 16.4 million Americans! And I’m pretty sure these 16.4 million are also the same ones who voted for Trump. Hey, I’m just saying it okay. And if you think this logic is stupid, then, get this. Up to 48 per cent of American don’t even fucking KNOW where chocolate milk comes from. And you know what? I’ll take the brown cow logic over this one. I mean at least those 7 percenters know that the milk does eventually come from cows; even if they be brown. Pexels Right now, I swear I am THIS close to yanking at my hair, like, Yo America how stupid can you be? You should probably stop with the Yo Mama so stupid jokes. You got yourself a whole frigging country based on stupidity! Like, my faith in humanity is lost, you blithering buffoons. Even the cows probably think you’re stupid. That’s how stupid you are that cows are smarter. There finally seems to be some logic in saving cows; at least they’re not the stupidest bums on the planet. Phew! I’m just going to go bury my head in some corner. What is the human race coming to?!
