  7. Nobody likes to watch ads in the middle of their favourite shows and movies and that is probably why we would rather watch on OTT platforms rather than on TV. However, there are a few ads that strike a chord with us because either they are extremely creative and witty or intriguing and inspirational. Case in point, the new ad of Pan Bahar featuring top superstars from two different film industries of India. © YouTube/Pan Bahar The product in question, mouth fresheners, has a penchant for having motivational ad campaigns about the success and fame of Bollywood celebrities, where you see them boasting about their well, success and fame. Pan Bahar too has roped in famous celebrities like Saif Ali Khan to demonstrate their slogan ‘pehchan kamyabi ki’. © YouTube/Pan Bahar However, this time, the ad went a bit higher and brought together two popular actors from Bollywood and Tollywood, Tiger Shroff and Mahesh Babu to endorse the product. However, that’s not why people are loving the new ad. It’s because they are finding the concept highly inspirational and motivational. © YouTube/Pan Bahar According to Mahesh Babu’s fans, the South superstar endorsing the brand is a fitting example of what success looks like. Also, they think while it’s a motivational ad, seeing Mahesh Babu definitely makes it better. © Instagram/Mahesh Babu Here’s what people are saying about the new ad: Such an amazing way to educate people about how to work hark and be better in the all new @PanBaharElaichi advertisement. #MaheshWithPanBaharElaichi@urstrulyMahesh pic.twitter.com/vpLZxyih5e — Ramesh Bala (@rameshlaus) September 28, 2021This is such a cool advertisement. it motivates me to be better and hustle!! Also, @urstrulyMahesh is like cherry on the cake. #MaheshWithPanBaharElaichi pic.twitter.com/799noLlW2T — Haricharan Pudipeddi (@pudiharicharan) September 28, 2021Pan Bahar ad nailed it. What a motivation full advertisement by Pan Bahar Elaichi featuring Mahesh Babu. #MaheshWithPanBaharElaichi pic.twitter.com/HXTALfNH3u — Himanshu Pandit (@itshimanshu41) September 28, 2021The new ad of @PanBaharElaichi is out and it makes me feel so high and tempted to work harder. The looks of @urstrulyMahesh are next level .So good to see him in this ad.#MaheshWithPanBaharElaichi pic.twitter.com/zX5dg8VWsk — Balaji Munna (@Balaji_munna) September 28, 2021In the ad, Mahesh Babu and Tiger Shroff credit their fans and audience for motivating them to hustle every day. They say that while shiny awards and trophies, fat bank balance and luxury cars are a perk, seeing their fans watching their movies is what makes them successful. People are loving the new take on success and the envious lives of these celebs is getting them all jittery and driven to achieve their dreams too. © YouTube/Pan Bahar What do you think about it? 8. Yet another update for iPhones has been released and this time Apple has done wonders with iOS 15. Apart from the big features that change how you use the iPhone, there are some hidden and secret settings that Apple didn’t talk about. We found out some of these hidden features you probably won’t know. These are our favourite hidden features on iOS 15 every iPhone owner should try out. Drag and Drop Sharing images between apps on iPhone was a cumbersome process and required additional steps. That process would get even more annoying if you had to share multiple images at the same time. You can now drag and drop multiple files from one app into another by simply dragging them. All you need to do is press and hold on to one image and start tapping on other images. You can then transfer the selections over to the Photos app, iMessage or WhatsApp. © iOS 15 Features Drag and drop also works with URLs where you can simply tap and hold on the URL and drag it to your preferred app. iOS 15 introduces Drag and Drop between apps to the iPhone. Make sure to give it a try! #iOS15 pic.twitter.com/YzXdv3ENHJ — Marcos Alonso (@malonso) September 20, 2021 Translate any Text on iOS 15 Apple has now added the ability to translate any text across the entire system where you just have to select any text and hit the translate option. Once you’ve translated the text, you can even copy your translated text and share it across different apps. Precipitation Alert <image 4> In the weather app, you can now get real-time precipitation alerts and get notified when it is about to rain or snow. To enable these notifications go to the Weather app > Select the List icon > Select the More button > Tap Notifications and then Continue > Select My Location to get notifications about precipitation for your current location. Scan Any Text © Apple Now you can scan any text using the camera app or within the system on iOS 15. This works across all documents, images, billboards, blackboards or anything that has text. You no longer have to type manually while referring to an image, document or video as you can simply copy the scanned text and paste it in notes or pages app. Adjust Text Size in Apps © MensXP If you want to adjust the size of the text in apps, you can now do so by following these simple steps. Head to Settings > Control Center > Add the option for Text Size. Now, swipe down from the top right corner and tap the "aA" button to get a Text Size control panel. You can now adjust the size of the text in-app using the slider and apply your preference on a per-app basis. Record What Apps Are Tracking About You © MensXP iOS 15 now lets you record apps that track sensitive and personal information about yourself. You will first need to update your iPhone to iOS 15 if you want to start tracking what apps are doing. After updating your iPhone, you need to head to Settings > Privacy and then scroll to the bottom of the page. Tap on the 'Record App Activity' and turn it on. Once enabled, your iPhone will now start recording everything that apps are up to and give a 7-day summary. The feature will record sensitive activities an app tracks such as the user's photo library, camera, microphones, the user's contacts, media library, location data and screen sharing. Track your iPhone without powerApple’s Find My app is a powerful tool to track items, AirPods, MacBooks and other Apple products. However, whenever you lost your iPhone and its battery ran out, it would be very hard to track the device. Now, though, the iPhone actually enters a low-power state that still keeps your Bluetooth on. Thanks to this feature, you can now track your lost phone as if it were an AirTag. View the full article
  9. Ghost of Tsushima was the ideal way to end the PlayStation 4 generation and the Director’s Cut version could be the best way to start the PS5 generation. Sucker Punch Productions already offered a great game in the PS4 version of the Ghost of Tsushima, but bringing new next-generation features and expansion with the Director’s Cut makes the title feel new all over again. For new players, it’s a chance to experience the entire game with exclusive PlayStation 5 features, fast loading times and next-gen graphics. After playing the Director’s Cut version, I feel this is the only way to play the Samurai epic in 2021. © SIE However, the Sakai clan and the Iki island have a history as Kazumasa Sakai (Jin’s father) conquered the island. However, due to Jin and his clan’s history with the island, Jin must now hide his family name and keep it a secret to avoid any form of reprisal. You get to experience Jin’s past link with the island in the form of flashbacks and memory callbacks that eventually have an astounding effect on him. You get more context on Jin and his family’s past which I feel is a great direction to take for an expansion. We didn’t really get to experience Jin’s backstory in the base game which was still a mystery until now. © SIE In terms of gameplay, while running in frame rate mode, the game targets 60FPS most of the time, however I did notice FPS drops during battles. It’s still a higher frame rate than the PS4 version which ultimately results in a much smoother experience. Overall, the game does a great job at pushing frames and making it a worthy upgrade for PS5 owners. Gameplay Many people were concerned that the new Iki island is going to be “more of the same.” However, that is not the case as there are new undiscovered locations to explore that aren’t onsens or fox temples. Sucker Punch also mixed up a few things when it comes to combat. There are new types of enemies to battle and some can even switch the type of weapon they are carrying. For example, an enemy might be using a spear, however he can now switch to a sword/shield forcing you to switch your stance as well. View the full article
  10. The OnePlus Nord 2 launched earlier this week with impressive specifications and pricing that could make it a great contender in the mid-segment market. If you want to know everything in detail about the smartphone, you can read our full review where we talk about its performance, cameras and other features in detail. However, if you want to know what we love most about the OnePlus Nord 2 you can check it out below: Performance © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla While OnePlus phones do throttle the performance as confirmed by OnePlus, you can expect the same here on the Nord 2 as well. Even though the phone runs on optimised mode, it still performs well enough for everyday users. The smartphone runs particularly well when playing games such as BGMI and lasts quite a while thanks to its 4,500 mAh battery. Having said that, you can expect some heating issues at launch as OnePlus is still fine-tuning the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. Build Quality © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla While the Nord 2 does not have an ultra-premium build quality like the OnePlus 9 Pro, it still has a more refined design than the Nord CE or other phones in the same price segment. It emulates the design of the OnePlus 9 Pro which means it doesn’t stand out as a cheaper alternative from afar. Design-wise, the Nord 2 is classy and does boast a flashy design which may not be everyone’s cup of tea. The Nord 2 is also available in three colours i.e. Blue Haze, Gray Sierra, and Green Wood. The Green Wood variant looks particularly interesting as it looks very similar to the Army Green colour and is exclusive to India. Display Quality © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Nord 2 has a 6.43-inch AMOLED display that has a refresh rate of 90Hz. In most cases, the display does a fair job of representing accurate colours and sharpness. While the panel is not on the same level as the 9 Series, it’s still good enough to watch videos on Netflix and Youtube. The 90Hz refresh rate also helps in delivering a super fast and smooth experience which OnePlus phones are known to offer. You can even take advantage of the higher refresh rate in certain games to get more frames per second. What We Don’t Like © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The OnePlus Nord 2 is the first smartphone by the company that uses a version of OxygenOS that shares the codebase with Oppo’s ColorOS. While the partnership may see some fruition in the near future, the current state of the operating system is confusing at best. In fact, it feels like OxygenOS is an Android Skin on top of Oppo’s ColorOS which may not be everyone’s preference. For starters, the Nord 2 uses the camera app from ColorOS which is still spotty when it comes to photography. The overall interface also doesn’t feel as fluid and at times feels out of place if used OnePlus smartphones before. In our review, we called the OnePlus Nord 2’s software experience Nord 2 ‘a work in progress which shouldn’t be the case with OnePlus phones in 2021. View the full article
  11. The Samsung Galaxy A72 is the latest contender in the mid-budget smartphone category that offers many premium features other smartphone companies tend to cheat out on. The Galaxy A72’s pricing starts at Rs 34,999 and in return Samsung gives you features such as an IP rating, a great display, a premium design and a telephoto lens. In my opinion, it’s a strong contender in an already crowded market and here’s why I think you should consider purchasing it: Design and Display The standout feature of the Galaxy A72 is its fresh new design that is very similar to other Galaxy A models that launched this year. In my opinion, the smartphone offers a classy and elegant design with a pastel colour coating. It’s a very minimalistic design that stands the test of time, unlike other gaudy designs. The frame of the smartphone feels premium in the hand even though it has a polycarbonate body. I would have preferred a glass back design to be honest; however, in return you do get a lighter phone. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Overall, the design of the Galaxy A72 feels more premium than other devices that use a similar design. The camera module perfectly blends with the rest of the body and maintains a uniform look with very minimal branding. If you’ve been looking for a smartphone that looks smart, the Galaxy A72 fits that bill. It’s also prudent to mention that the smartphone has an IP 67 rating for dust and water resistance which is quite rare to find in this price segment. The Galaxy A72’s IP 67 rating means that the smartphone has been tested to work for at least 30 minutes while under 15cm to 1m of water. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla In terms of display, the Galaxy A72 has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that has a resolution of fullHD+ and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display also supports HDR content which is now becoming the norm for devices in this price range. In my opinion, Samsung makes some of the best displays for its smartphones and the same holds true for the Galaxy A72. The display on this phone is far more vibrant and sharper when compared to displays to smartphones that cost around the same. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The 90Hz refresh rate also offers a smoother navigation experience in menus and apps. Overall, the A72’s display is far superior to devices that often do not use the same quality of panel in order to cut costs, that is not the case here. Performance © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Galaxy A72 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G SoC which is not as powerful as the latest SoCs being used in Samsung’s competitor’s devices. However, in my experience the smartphone performed well for most of the basic tasks such as internet browsing, social media, taking pictures with the camera and email. Scrolling through news websites, app lists and social media was smooth thanks to the 90Hz refresh rate and thanks to OneUI 3.1’s animations. OneUI is becoming one of my favourite Android skins in recent times and in my opinion, is currently at par with other top Android skins such as OxygenOS. I was surprised to see how well the OS was optimised for the Galaxy A72 with the exception of facing slight throttling when multi-tasking. In our test, the Galaxy A72 scored 551 (single-core) and 1745 (multi-core) on Geekbench 5 and a respectable 3,36,278 points in AnTuTu. The Galaxy A72 was able to handle games like BGMI, Genshin Impact quite well where I could run the games in high settings with minimal frame rate drops. Finally, the Galaxy A72 is powered by a massive 5,000 mAh battery that can last up to an entire day with moderate usage. Continuous gaming or watching videos on the smartphone will yield a total battery backup of around 16 hours. The smartphone is also bundled with a 25W charger that can fast-charge the battery from 0 to 50 percent in 32 minutes. The smartphone also supports PPS PD charging which means you can use any third-party charger that supports the protocol. Cameras © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Galaxy A72 comes with a 64-megapixel primal sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor and a 5-megapixel macro camera. That’s one of the most versatile camera setups you can get on a smartphone that doesn’t come at a premium. In good light, the primary sensor is capable of taking some incredible images with great details, natural colours and awesome dynamic range. The ultra-wide sensor is also a delight to use as it is capable of capturing enough details worthy of sharing on social media. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The additional telephoto lens is a great addition to the camera setup of the A72 and has more use than the macro lens in my opinion. It is capable of taking clear images when zoomed in up to 3x. However, you will notice the image losing detail and have a sharper outlook when you zoom in further than the native zoom level. In low light, the Galaxy A72 takes impressive images when using Night Mode however when using with the mode turned off, I didn’t really notice any major difference. Having said that, taking images within Night mode should suffice for users. The camera app also comes with other modes such as Single-Take where the app creates different types of content using multiple shots from the primary sensor. In the video department, the Galaxy A72 is capable of shooting videos up to 4K/30fps which in my opinion is not at par with the competition. There is no optical stabilisation on the primary sensor either which doesn’t feel natural and feels a bit off. The Final Say The Samsung Galaxy A72 is an impressive offering by Samsung for customers who are looking for a device that comes with premium features and doesn’t cost a lot. If you’ve been looking for a device that has a classy and elegant design and offers a great experience, the Galaxy A72 is a great option to consider. Offering stereo speakers, a beautiful display, IP67 rating and capable cameras, the Galaxy A72 is hard to ignore right now. View the full article
  12. Microsoft’s latest operating system for PCs and Laptops was leaked online following which we got a chance to try it for ourselves. While the leaked build of Windows 11 is not the complete operating system that will eventually release, we did get to check out some new features that will excite PC and Laptop owners. Much of Windows 11 got a visual overhaul, however, there are some new features that weren’t present on Windows 10. Here are some of our favourite new features coming to Windows 11: 1. Widgets © Twtter_WinFuture Widgets are making a return on the Windows platform ever since the Vista operating system. Users will now be able to summon widgets with a clock of a button in the taskbar. The widgets come in the form of ‘tiles’ with relevant information. Widgets such as news, weather and interests can be placed in the taskbar. 2. Dark Mode © MensXP Dark Mode on Windows 10 wasn’t really up to the mark when compared to any other operating system. Now, Microsoft is implementing it system-wide where it will also give a new look to the taskbar, Action Center and the Start Menu. Having said that, there is still room for improvement and Microsoft still needs to work on some areas that aren’t fully compatible. 3. Multitask Overhaul © MensXP Windows 11 will introduce a new way for people to multitask windows and apps where users will not able to group applications together. Now, there will be six new ways you can pair up active windows and applications. You can pair up active windows with other opened windows by clicking the button and create a group. What’s unique is that Windows will remember all of your combinations as well. 4. New Start Menu, Search and Taskbar © MensXP If you were bored of Windows 10’s Start Menu, Search and Taskbar, you will love what Microsoft has done on Windows 11. This time around, the Start Menu is now located in the centre of the screen instead of on the left. You can however move it to the left or any other position you want. The Taskbar is also entered which means all of your opened apps and folders appear in the middle of your screen. The search icon is also position here where you can bring a floating search command. These new changes come because Microsoft wants to bring what matters most to you where your eyes go naturally. It’s very similar to macOS but we like how it has been implemented here. 13. It’s that time of the year where Apple announced new software updates for its entire lineup of products and this year the company is going to the next level. In case you missed the live event this morning, we’ve compiled all of the top features that the Cupertino giant announced for the iPhone, iPad, AirPods, macOS and other products. Here are some of the top features announced today morning: 1. iOS 15 © Apple iOS 15 is getting an array of new features that improve the overall experience on iPhones with updates such as Focus mode, FaceTime updates, and Live text. 2. FaceTime Updates © Apple Spatial Audio: When using the AirPods Pro, the AirPods Pro Max or a compatible device, spatial audio will now your voice sound more natural in FaceTime calls as if the voices are going from the caller's on-screen position. The iOS 15 will also use a voice isolation feature that will improve your voice when taking from a loud environment. Portrait Mode: FaceTime calls will also now let users blur the background similar to Nvidia Broadcast and have all the focus on a caller’s face. It looks like a portrait image from the camera however it looks a bit more professional for FaceTime calls. FaceTime On Android and Windows: Users will now able to share FaceTime Links that will let others join the call via a desktop or an Android device. It works exactly like a Zoom call link but now SharePlay: Users will now able to share audio/video stream on FaceTime calls via Apple Music or watch videos together from any streaming platform. This feature works across the system and essentially means you can now have a shared experience with your friends when watching your favourite TV show or listening to a Playlist on Apple Music. 3. Focus Mode iPhone users will now cable to set up profiles or modes such as “work” where only work-related apps will be able to send you a notification. It also means that only work-related apps and widgets will show up on your home screen. © Apple Notifications on iOS are also getting an improvement where users will be able to batch less relevant notification together. You can also tweak at what time you would like to see these notifications. 4. Live Text © Apple The camera on the iPhone will now be able to recognise text in photos and let users select the text. This text can is copy/pastable and can even recognise objects. It works similar to Google Lens, however, in this case, all of the processes are happening on-device. Users can also copy a phone number from a billboard or a business card and call directly by scanning the text. This feature works on all images, even from the web. 5. AirPodsAirPods Pro users will now be Abel to boost the volume of voices of those around you and make it easier to have conversations without removing the TWS earphones. Users will also be able to isolate noise by using Transparency mode. © Apple Other new features include the ability to find lost AirPods via the Find My app even when they are in the charging case. Tracking the AirPods is far more accurate as Apple now gives both visual and audio cues to locate your lost AirPods Pro. Spatial audio for the AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro Max will now be compatible for tvOS and M1-powered Macs. 6. iPadOSiPadOS is now getting widgets similar to iOS however they are far larger in size due to the larger canvas. iPadOS is also getting the App Library feature which will make it easier for users to organise their apps. © Apple Apple is also bringing a split-screen menu which makes multitasking far easier for iPad users. Users will now be able to use two apps on the same screen and club two apps together as well. iPad users can now also take ‘Quick Notes’ by swiping from the bottom right corner of the screen. Apple will also let you mention or tag other users in shared notes to get their attention as well. 7. Security Updates © Apple Apple believes privacy to be a fundamental right and is now bringing new privacy updates that hide your IP address in the Mail app and even in iCloud. Users can also access a “App Privacy Report” for all apps that summarises what data is being collected and shared with other websites. Siri’s speed recognition will also happen on-device for users who have products powered by the A12 Bionic chipset or above. 8. Health Updates © Apple iPhone users will now able to analyst their “walking steadiness” as the health app will not able to analyse your gait, step timing etc. The iPhone will be able to determine whether your fall risk is increasing over time. Users will now be able to share their Health stats with their family and friends as well. 9. watchOS Apple Watch users will now be able to track their respiratory rate where users can get detailed data on how many breaths they take per minute. The app will also note how you breathe differently throughout the day. © Apple Apple Watch users can also now use Portrait images as a watchface, where watchOS automatically presents in a neat and classy way on your watch’s face. Starting with watchOS 8, Apple Watch users will be able to share photos through the iMessage and Mail apps and add text through Scribble on the Watch 10. macOS © Apple The next software update for the Mac is called macOS Monterey. Now, Macs will be able to support all of the SharePlay features as the iPhone as well for FaceTime Calls. The new update will also let users use one keyboard/mouse setup to control multiple devices sucks as the iPad and the Macs. Putting an iPad next to your MacBook will not let you use both devices as one large big canvas. MacBooks will be able to automatically recognise compatible devices. Macs are also getting AirPlay features where iPhone or iPad users can now send AirPlay content to Mac’s display. It works similar to how users mirror iPhone and iPad content to Apple TV. Safari is also getting a UI overhaul where tabs are being made smaller and a new system to keep things organised. Safari also looks radically different from previous versions making it very classy and minimalistic as well. Tab groups on Safari will also now automatically sync with other iCloud devices. 14. Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is all set to start tonight at 10:30 PM where the company shows off new software updates and what developers have been working on. The company is set to showcase new software for the iPhone, iPadOS, watchOS and macOS at the event. Last year, the company announced new customisation features for both iOS and iPadOS and other useful features that improve the overall experience of Apple products. This year, Apple is likely to announce iterative software updates for all of their platforms but many doubt it won’t be a major overhaul like last year. There is potential for Apple to announce new products, experiences and services but not much is known about what the company is working on. - iOS 15 © Youtube_Hacker 34 For the iPhone, Apple is expected to announce iOS 15 that will have more privacy features for users and give more control to users. New notification controls are also expected from Apple since its the most outdated and cumbersome feature to use on the iPhone currently. Other changes may include improvements to the iMessage platform with more social features in nature. Similarly, Apple is also expected to incorporate a current status feature such as sleeping, driving or working on iMessage. - iPadOS © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla For iPadOS, it seems like Apple wants to may iPadOS more in line with macOS now that the company has announced a new iPad Pro that is powered by the M1 chip, the same SoC that can be found on the MacBook Pro. Apple has been leveraging the iPad Pro more like a laptop workstation than a tablet in recent years and we would expect the Cupertino giant to introduce more integrations tonight. The iPadOS is also expected to get the same customisation features as the iPhone where users will be able to place widgets on the home screen and make use of the App Library. - macOS © Apple Apple will be announcing a new version of macOS which will likely have a new nomenclature. We could expect Apple to announce similar features as the iPadOS and iOS since the newer models of MacBook Pro are now powered by the M1 chipset. Even though Apple has dismissed the idea of merging macOS and iPad OS, there could be a possibility of app compatibility support from the two different operating systems. - New MacBook Pro © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla WWDC is known to focus more on software developments but Apple has been known to announce hardware products at the event. We could see Apple announce a new MacBook Pro especially since Apple is looking to introduce the second generation of its custom silicon chip. View the full article
  15. Google announced its latest operating system for smartphones i.e. Android 12 and it would be hard to ignore some of the major updates that improve a user’s experience. In fact, some of these clever features would make perfect sense for iOS as well which is why we feel some of them should come to the walled garden as well. © Unsplash/omid-armin I tend to use both iOS and Android devices and it’s kind of hard to ignore features that both platforms excel at. After getting a deep look into Android 12, here are some features I would like iOS 15 to copy: 1. Notifications © Google Notifications on iOS is still a major issue as it’s not at par with Android at the moment. It’s convoluted and often takes up a lot of real estate in the Notification Center. Android 12’s notifications have now improved further, thanks to new features. Users can directly manage junk mails, reply to messages and get relevant information such as weather updates straight from the notification shade. Google also does a better job at grouping Notifications and Instant Messaging conversations. It's a more streamlined way of handling notifications and it’s high time we see Apple implement something similar for iPhone users. 2. Customisations © Google Google has gone a step further when it comes to customising your experience on Android 12. For starters, you can now make your smartphone unique to you, thanks to the new ‘Material You’ design choice for Android 12.
