  1. Prince Harry 'looks so sad and so angry. Like he’s fallen into a pit and can’t climb his way out,' claims a journalist
  2. Should we celebrate or mourn on the day of our platinum jubilee, when we are on the verge of an economic default?
  3. Indian actress Mrunal Thakur may have made her debut in Hrithik Roshan's Super 30 a couple of years ago, however, she's clearly seen her popularity skyrocket since then. The actress, who has predominantly worked in Hindi and Marathi cinema before her big break in Bollywood, also got rave reviews for her acting in her Dhamaka opposite Kartik Aaryan. © Netflix Now, Mrunal is all set to finally star in her latest Bollywood film alongside hunk Shahid Kapoor, with the movie being a sports drama called Jersey. The movie will revolve around the story of a talented yet failed cricketer who decides to return to the sport in his late thirties after he's driven by the goal of representing the Indian cricket team in order to fulfill his son's wish for a jersey as a gift. © YRF Now, Mrunal who is set to be busy with the promos of the film, while speaking to Hindustan Times, revealed how despite her being active on social media, she's not able to post bikini pictures of herself. The actress revealed how despite her confidence in her body type, she still needs to pluck up the courage to upload pictures of herself in a bikini. View this post on Instagram “I need to gather courage to post a picture in the bikini, with the body type I have at the time and I am comfortable with it. I am just gearing up,” she said. The Love Sonia actress said that the reason for this was because of people's reaction to different body types in bikinis, especially in India. “I feel India has not entirely normalized bodies. We still think if you are going to a beach you have to have a perfect body,” she said. Mrunal also spoke on how there shouldn't be a sample size or a particular fitness in order to wear a swimsuit. “But, that’s not how I want to inspire girls out there. It’s okay to be bloated, and to have celluloid (cellulite). You need to be fit within and not necessarily have six-pack abs.” she said. The actress speaks at the back of getting cheap comments on one of her Instagram posts where she was told that her back was a 'matka', while she was exercising. Source: iDiva View the full article
  4. The ongoing war with Russia forcing itself up into Ukraine has got the entire world praying for peace. The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky previously mentioned how the morale of Putin’s forces has been 'constantly deteriorating' and that his army has already killed over 9,000 invaders. 'We are a nation that broke the enemy's plans in a week. Plans written for years: sneaky, full of hatred for our country, our people,' Zelensky said in a video. A video that is now going viral across social media shows a Russian soldier breaking down in tears as he speaks to his mother on the phone after surrendering to Ukrainians. The people of Ukraine served him tea and food as well. Video shared on Ukrainian channels of a captured Russian soldier apparently being fed by locals. The post says he burst into tears when he was allowed to video-call his mother. So many of these troops are just teenagers, with absolutely no clue what this war is really for. pic.twitter.com/oCPUC8cKcO — Matthew Luxmoore (@mjluxmoore) March 2, 2022 The young boy can be seen being comforted by the locals and has an emotional outburst as he blows kisses to his mom. The video is not really verified and has drawn various kinds of reactions. While many claim that Russian kids are fighting this war with the consent of their own parents, most people are just heartbroken by the fact that this can be emotionally damaging to young men being used to fight a war they didn’t want in the first place. 6. The affair of Bollywood and Cricket has always been a steamy piece of news. Every time a Bollywood actress marries or falls in love with a cricketer, there's a lot of news fluttering everywhere. While some relationships were in the public eye and culminated in the holy union of marriage for people like Virat and Anushka, Hardik and Natasa, some love stories ended up buried and others were mostly brushed off as rumours. One such beautiful yet incomplete tale of romance was that of star cricketer of the 90s, Ajay Jadeja and Bollywood heartthrob Madhuri Dixit. © Twitter According to a report in IBT, Madhuri and Ajay met for a photo shoot and found an instant connection. Soon, love blossomed as the friendship grew. This is around the time when Ajay was trying to venture into the cinema world as well and it turns out that the actress tried to help him by recommending his name to producers. However, things started turning topsy-turvy when Ajay’s name got defamed in the match-fixing controversy and his on-field career started affecting his personal life as well. © Twitter Amidst all of this, there were also rumours that the families didn’t really approve of the relationship and in an anti-climax sequence, this ‘adhuri kahani’ ended here. Madhuri then went on to marry Dr. Nene and she is happily settled with her family and Ajay also went on to marry his wife, Jaya. Guess all’s well that ends well. View the full article
  7. Bollywood actor Siddhant Chaturvedi really set people's hearts on fire as MC Sher in the 2019 Zoya Akhtar film Gully Boy. He really shocked people with his acting talent and his ability to come out as a star even while acting alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the movie. © Prime Video We already knew about his acting talent through his performance, however, we also witnessed his courage and 'Go Hard Or Go Home' attitude when he spoke on nepotism while sitting alongside Ananya Panday in an interview not so long back. His words on how outsiders in Bollywood go through so much struggle as compared to the star kids, struck a chord with the entire country and made Siddhant a sort of cult icon. © YRF Now, ahead of his upcoming movie Bunty Aur Babli 2, the charming actor has once again decided to speak on nepotism in the industry. “It is a known fact that outsiders take way longer to make their presence felt in the industry. I have seen many who have gone through a lot before they were even spotted to do something substantial despite having serious talent. I too have had my fair share of struggles for many years, which I truly cherish, before I got my break.” he said. Siddhant says that, unlike outsiders, the insiders of the industry do get so many chances to showcase what they have, almost like 'Nepotism is the law of the land'. “Yes, insiders do get spotted early, they have it easy to get their first break and also get many more opportunities than the outsiders get. It’s a reality of this industry and every other industry of the world. It’s almost like a law of the land. Nepotism exists and outsiders have to work that much harder to make their presence felt but there’s beauty in that hard work too.” he said. However, he is also of the opinion that the difficulties of getting work make people work better for their dreams. “It (being an outsider) shapes you and your thoughts and steals your mind to achieve what you truly want in life. The only way outsiders in Bollywood can survive is by getting the love of people through our craft and I’m concentrating on doing just that. Hope I manage to entertain the audiences so that they keep coming back to watch me on the big screen and give me wind beneath my wings to soar,” he said. Siddhant also credits his success to Zoya and Farhan Akhtar. “I will be forever grateful to Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, and Ritesh Sidhwani for the opportunities they have given me at the start of my career. I would be no one today without their hands over my head. I know I’m one of the fortunate strugglers who have got the attention that we truly deserve. I know of many who didn’t. It’s sad but it’s the truth.” said Siddhant. Well, it truly is heartbreaking to hear him speak about how the industry functions, especially for people striving to make a name in films. Let's hope he succeeds through his talent. View the full article

"This has been on my mind for a while as I recently announced stepping down from the T20 captaincy to manage my workload which has been immense for so many years and I want to be committed to the responsibilities I am fulfilling." "I felt I needed this space to refresh, to regroup and be absolutely clear in how I want to move forward. And also understanding that RCB is going through a transitional phase with the big auction coming next year," said Kohli. "I made it clear to the management that I can't think of me being in any other team than RCB. I will continue to be an RCB player till I play my last game in the IPL." The reason, according to Kohli, is his willingness to focus on his skills as a batsman and his wish to prolong his career as an RCB and Indian cricketer. According to Kohli’s own admission, the workload as the captain has been “immense” over the last few years, and it began to show on the cricketer’s form with the bat on the pitch. Kohli’s has not scored a single century since November 2019. View this post on Instagram On the other hand, it is the T20I vice-captain Rohit Sharma who is being pipped as the one to replace Kohli as the skipper after the T20 World Cup is over. 9. Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma is one of the longest running shows on TV and also one of the only shows which the entire family enjoys watching together. One of the funniest tracks on the show is the one-sided love that the character of Jethalal harbours towards his neighbour Babita Ji, played by actress Munmun Dutta. His evident crush seems to be the premise of some very funny situations as well. However in a twist of turns in real life, reports claim that Munmun Dutta, who is the love interest of Jethalal on the show is actually dating fellow actor Raj Anadkat, who plays Tappu, Jethalal’s son on the show. A source confirmed to Etimes that this piece of information, which was earlier a rumour, is indeed true. "Nobody teases them; they don't try to steal moments with each other. The love story is actually old and one wonders how it hasn't come out till date," it said. © Instagram © Instagram The couple has an age difference of 9 years and recently Raj was trolled for commenting on her pictures on Instagram as well. That is also when the rumours of them dating began to flow on the internet. Munmum recently joined back the show after she was laid-off for a while for her comments made in a YouTube video. 10. Toyko Olympics 2020 ended in a disappointing fashion for Mary Kom in the Round of 16 after she was defeated by Colombia’s Ingrit Valencia in a close bout as the scorecard read 2-3 against the Indian legend in a split decision by the judges. A legend's campaign ends today #IND's MC Mary Kom bids the Olympic stage adieu after a 3-2 split decision loss to Rio 2016 bronze medallist, Ingrit Valencia #StrongerTogether | #UnitedByEmotion | #Boxing | #Tokyo2020 | @MangteC pic.twitter.com/MgjKvWnbRN — #Tokyo2020 for India (@Tokyo2020hi) July 29, 2021 Yes, the 38-year old has now shown concerns about the possibility of cheating and has questioned certain aspects of the events which took place just minutes before the match, as of now, the fact remains that she has been ousted from what is possibly her last Olympics ever. There comes a time for every legendary athlete to accept defeat after having an incredible career full of achievements, awards, and other accolades that set them apart from the rest of the herd. Mary Kom, already an Olympics bronze medallist, knew that she was now standing at such a stage when the referee rose Valencia’s hand and a tiny teardrop rolled down her cheek. © Twitter/Awanish Sharan The heartbreaking picture of the Indian flag-bearer at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics has reached out to millions and millions of her fans in the country, who are trying their best to make their appreciations reach out of the boxing legend through social media messages and words of encouragement. Coincidentally, India suffered a similar defeat in a sport a lot different than any other Olympic game and over six years ago, when the Indian cricket team was beaten by the Australian side in the 2015 World Cup semi-final and the then-skipper MS Dhoni was seen holding back his tears during the post-match presentation. 13. No matter what the lyrics of a song might say, if the beats are catchy AF, desi people are bound to dance to it. While there is an abundance of songs with some moving and rather incredible lyrics, it has its flipside as well, where the lyrics of some tracks have the potential to leave one’s skin crawling. Sadly, with each passing year, the creativity, especially, when it comes to party song lyrics is simply going down the hill and now, it seems like the audience has also been brainwashed into enjoying the average music. However, not all dance songs have crass words as there are some Punjabi party tracks that actually have sensible lyrics and are played repeatedly at most gatherings. But, if you just listen to some of these songs carefully, you’ll realize that the lyrics are really sad for them to be a party song. So, here are five Punjabi party songs that actually have sad lyrics & might make you rather emotional if you have just had a breakup: 1. Ishq Tera Tadpave Lyrics- “Tare gin gin yaad vich teri main ta jaga rata nu, rok na pava ankhiyan vicho gam diya barsata nu.” Now, this song is extremely popular and is played at every wedding and gathering. However, if you just focus on the lyrics it’s really sad and if we change the beats, this can turn into a real sad song as well. 2. Khat Lyrics- “Late night keetha tenu call, tu chakeya nahi, saah ruk si gaya, I swear I am gonna die tonight, de gallan da jawab, dil tutt si gaya”. This Guru Randhawa song is extremely popular and many of us know the rap of this song by heart. However, the lyrics are not in sync with the beats. The beats of the song are fast and the lyrics are rather apt for a breakup song. 3. Taara Lyrics- “Peg peg karde ne bottle main chadi, tu ki sanu chaddna ni assi chaddi yaari….” Many people who are Diljit Dosanjh fans are bound to have heard this particular song on loop. This song was released in the year 2015 and gained a lot of popularity. However, the lyrics of this song are not anywhere near to a party song. 4. Patiala Peg Lyrics: “Oh tu ta aakheya hauna, bhull geya hauna, hor kisse te dull geya hauna” This is another Diljit song that gained a lot of popularity. However, in this track, the singer does not seem to be in a party mood, instead, he sounds rather angry. 5. Teeje Week Lyrics: Ni main pehle week khush hoya, dooje week peg laye, teeje week pher teri yaad aa gayi” This song is by Jordan Sandhu and has around 238 million views on YouTube. This one is played at every party and gathering too, however, it's best if one does not focus too much on the lyrics...might kill the dancing bug. View the full article
  14. If people thought they saw everything in 2020, 2021 is the answer as the rise in COVID cases in the country is almost astronomical. When COVID knocked on the doors of our country last year, everything was put to a halt, and the entertainment industry was one of the industries that were severely hit. Many actors were forced to quit working and they were jobless. Now, TV actor Ayub Khan has expressed his concern after the Maharashtra government ordered a 15-day shutdown in the state in an attempt to prevent the pandemic to spread. The actor has been at home since the shooting of his upcoming show, Ranju ki Betiyaan, got suspended. View this post on Instagram Sitting at home for almost 1.5 years has cost him heavily and if this continues, he might have to ask for financial help from others. Ayub told Times Now in an interview, "We and people are going through difficult times, but god forbid there is not going to be lockdown. If god forbid I have to sit back for another year and a half or whatever then I will definitely have a big problem on my hand. We are not spending too much as we have to be careful about it. If there will be a lockdown for a year it will be a disastrous situation." In an interview with Hindustan Times, he shared that he hasn’t earned money in the past one-and-a-half year and how lockdown has been affecting work. “I haven't earned money in the past one-and-a-half year. The lockdown is affecting work, and everyone has been struggling emotionally also. If things don’t get better or I don’t start working, I’ll have to start asking for help. So, I do hope everyone gets back on track,” said the actor. View this post on Instagram He also added that he does understand the situation as nothing can be done and it’s the need of the hour. “You can’t do anything. You just have to make do with whatever you have. And, God forbid, if things go from bad to worse, one will have to put out a hand for help. What else can you do?" he told HT. He also added that he has lost family members due to COVID-19. "I lost two of my uncles and some friends. But the carelessness of people baffles me. Even the educated are not paying heed to the seriousness of the pandemic. Just because nothing has happened to them or their family members they don’t feel the pinch.” View this post on Instagram For the unversed, Ayub Khan rose to fame with the film Mashooq (1992) and has since been a part of several television shows. He has featured in daily soaps such as Uttaran, Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, and Ranju Ki Betiyaan. As he shared how he has been facing the financial crunch, it does show the sad state of TV actors as they are also paid monthly cheques. If people don’t understand the responsibility now, many would be jobless and we won’t be able to win the war against the pandemic. View the full article
