  2. Prateik Babbar is one of the most unconventional stars in Bollywood, be it the roles he takes up or his personal style. Apart from switching up looks and experimenting with new trends, he is one actor that enjoys breaking fashion and grooming stereotypes for men. In other words, he is as gutsy as it gets as far as style is considered. © Instagram/Prateik Babbar From sporting daring hairstyles to rocking atypical style, Prateik Babbar has been setting some major goals in the world of fashion and we are here for it. Since he turns 35 today, here is taking the day to appreciate his love for quirky looks and daring fashion choices. © Instagram/Prateik Babbar Here are all the times he set the bar higher for the men in Bollywood by pulling off some of the coolest looks and smashed fashion stereotypes: 1. Bold Hair Colours © Instagram/Prateik Babbar The actor isn’t shy to dye his mane. From electric blue to platinum blonde, he has tried it all. There was even a time when he coloured half his hair black and half red and even dyed an eyebrow red which is undoubtedly the boldest look he, or any celebrity for that matter, has pulled so far. 2. Pinks & Prints View this post on Instagram You can tell how experimental he is by one look at his sartorial choices. From eccentric styles to androgynous fashion, the Ekk Deewana Tha actor doesn’t limit himself to typical menswear colours and fits. Here is him rocking pink and animal print ‘together’ like a boss. 3. Badass Hairstyles © Instagram/Prateik Babbar Not just quirky hair colours, he keeps on experimenting with the length, texture and styles too. He would get his naturally curly hair super straight sometimes, while the other time he would go for long spikes. He even tried cornrow braids and pulled them off really well. 4. Nail Art FTW © Instagram/Prateik Babbar How many men in Indian cinema do you see painting their nails and not being fazed by the trolls? Not many. But Prateik Babbar is totally one of them. In fact, he is setting the trend of men’s nail art with his aesthetically painted claws. He drops new and kickass nail art time and again. 5. Chunky Accessories © Instagram/Prateik Babbar Babbar’s personal fashion statement is more street-style and he is often spotted in baggy clothes, denim jackets, layers and his accessories compliment the looks. Blingy silver chains, beaded bracelets and caps and beanies are always a part of his look. View the full article
  3. Earlier this week, astronomers who were keeping a close eye on Jupiter got a surprise when a very large space rock smashed into the gas planet. Many astronomers were watching the passing of the shadow of Io, one of Jupiter’s moons and suddenly saw a bright flash of light. Brazilian observer José Luis Pereira managed to capture the event as it happened with his camera. © flickr/José Luis Pereira "I am an assiduous planetary observer," Pereira told Space.com in a written statement Tuesday (Sept. 14). "When the planets Jupiter, Saturn and Mars are in opposition, I try to make images in every possible night of clear skies. Especially [of] the planet Jupiter, my favorite.” Possible New Impact on Jupiter discovered on September 13, 2021 at 22:39:30 UT by Jose Luis Pereira from Brazil. Please check your data around this time (+/- 5 min) and try to image the impact area. Gif attached, image on next tweet. Congrats to Jose! #astronomy#jupiter #impact pic.twitter.com/Z9CpSPsMTt — Ernesto Guido (@comets77) September 14, 2021 Other astronomers also witnessed and captured images of the event which was later corroborated by professional astronomers as well. This particular event is the eighth recorded impact on Jupiter since the first in July 1994. This impact was captured at latitude 5.5° and longitude 105.7° (System I / L1), 83.3° (System II / L2), and 273.4° (System III / L3). ESA Operations, a Twitter account belonging to the European Space Agency also confirmed the impact and tweeted, “Not a lot of info on the impacting object yet but it's likely to be large and/or fast!” © NASA Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system where more than 1,300 Earth-sized planets could fit inside the planet. The gas planet has been protecting smaller planets including earth from flying objects in space. This particular impact was one of the largest ever recorded and it would be interesting to see if it will leave any atmospheric scar on Jupiter. That can only be confirmed with follow-up observations. According to SpaceWeather.com, the fireball that hit Jupiter was located 106.9 degrees latitude, and +3.8 degrees longitude. It is being assumed that the fireball originated from an asteroid and scientists are now looking for dark marks on the gas planet’s surface. When Jupiter was hit by the comet Shoemaker-Levy 9, the impact left “dark, ringed scars” for almost a year. Source: Space.com View the full article
  4. A Tesla driver left the wing doors open of a Model X which then collided with a double-decker bus in North London. The Model costs about £100,000 (~Rs 1,01,28,661) and we can only imagine what it might cost to repair the car and the bus as well. On the Tesla Model X, the car’s doors open up like a falcon’s wing, However it seems like the driver did not notice the door was still open. In the video, shot by a bystander, you can see the Tesla Model X crash into the front windscreen of the bus mere seconds after the camera starts rolling. The Tesla Model X apparently has at least three warnings when the car’s door is open however it is unclear whether the driver was aware of alarms or chose to ignore them. What makes this incident horrific is that the car smashed into the same side of the windscreen where the bus driver sits. © Youtube_Screengrab According to Business Insider, a spokesperson for Transport for London (TFL) confirmed that the accident happened in Southgate, London. "We are aware of an incident involving a route 125 bus on Saturday in Southgate, and a video on social media of the incident that shows what happened from an onlooker's perspective," Tom Cunnington, TfL's head of bus business development, said in a statement to Insider. "It must have been a really nasty shock for the bus driver, who we wish well, and we are supporting the bus operator's ongoing investigation.” Telsa’s Emergency Response Guide says that the falcon-wing doors on the Falcon X can be raised and lowered with the push of a button. Other users on Twitter also pointed out that the Model X’s dashboard beeps continuously and even gives a visual warning if your door is open while driving. Because the car beeps continuously and displays warnings on the screens. pic.twitter.com/TA0fJD0VIv — Raffael ️ (@raffaeru) August 14, 2021 It’s unclear whether this particular Model X had malfunctioned or did not give the driver any warnings at this point in time. However, it is also possible that the driver may have been distracted or ignored the warnings. Last week, a Tesla crashed into a set of petrol pumps where the driver narrowly escaped the car before the crash. However, in this case, the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol and has since been arrested. Source: Business Insider View the full article
  5. While most of our teenage years revolved around juggling and complaining about the after school hours labour our schools passed off as “homework”, or making fancy strategies to decimate the other team on the playground, recent times have shown a tremendous change in the kind of teenagers growing in our midst. Gone are the days when fun and games ruled the lives of teenagers (apart from truck-loads of studying), now young geniuses have replaced regular teenagers - making the likes of us feeling pretty insignificant. © Getty Images From setting up their own businesses, to winning international competitions and creating mind-boggling devices, these young minds have achieved extraordinary feats. Not only have they inspired millions of people but have also made Indians proud through their impeccable achievements. Akshat Singh, the kid who had first become famous for shaking a leg with his idol Salman Khan on the iconic song 'Hud Hud Dabangg', went on to charm people with his moves on multiple reality shows in India. Later, we saw him make India proud on the popular US show 'Ellen Degeneres Show', with his wit and talent. © Akshat Singh Come 2019, and the young 13-year-old has rocked the entire city of London with his 'golden buzzer' performance on 'Britain's Got Talent'. His stellar dance performance compelled the judges to give him a standing ovation, while the hosts went ahead and pressed the golden buzzer for him. Talking about these experiences Akshat told MensXP, “Very few people get the chance to represent their country on such global platforms. I got the chance to make my nation, my parents and my school proud which makes me feel very lucky and happy.” © Akshat Singh Currently in class 9th, Akshat works hard to manage his studies and his passion, but he has no complaints about it. He says, “I usually study while travelling and between shows, but my only motive is to make others happy(through my work). I wish to become an actor in the future and want to tell others that nothing is impossible in life if you work hard and believe in yourself.” Merely a teenager, but Akshat's words of wisdom will leave you speechless. What's more, we shall soon be able to watch Akshat's performance on 'Britain's Got Talent' on Colors Infinity. But before we can do that, take a look at these other 4 Indian child prodigies who have made India proud globally. 1. Lydian Nadhaswaram © Twitter 13-year-old Lydian Nadhaswaram is a magician pianist and a child prodigy from Chennai. Lydian recently won the 'The World's Best' global talent contest and won a prize of 1 million dollars! Judges couldn't see his fingers move over the piano as Lydian played 280 beats per minute, and later increased his speed to 325 beats per minute, leaving both the judges and the rest of the world stunned by his talent. 2. Tanmay Bakshi © Twitter All of 15 years, Tanmay Bakshi is a well-known, self-taught coder & application developer who set out on this adventure at a tender age of 5. Tanmay is currently the World's Youngest IBM Watson Programmer & CEO, as well as the youngest Indian Artificial Intelligence expert based in Canada. 3. Aravindh Chithambaram © Twitter Touted as India's upcoming “Vishwanathan Anand”, Aravindh overcame staggering financial difficulties to become a grandmaster at the age of 15. At the age of 14, Aravindh was awarded International Master by FIDE, making him a star Indian chess player worthy of international recognition. 4. Harshwardhansinh Zala © Twitter Ahmedabad's pride, 16-year-old Harshwardhansinh is known for designing a drone named 'EAGLE A7' which is not only capable of detecting landmines, but can also destroy them. The drone can help minimize the risk of losing human lives during battles. He is the founder and CEO of Aerobotics 7 which aims to create 'smart technologies for a better world'.
  6. Growing up, we couldn't get through few days at a time without being reminded of and getting told how poorly we are faring in every aspect when compared to “pados wale Sharmaji ka beta”. The many merits and achievements of this X, Y or Z Sharma guy didn't help to make things better for us any way. Instead, all the discussions involving the guy somehow always managed to lead the entire household into a dismal, dark place. What did we ever get out of these stories about Sharmaji ka beta anyway? So you know what, to hell with Sharmaji and his overachiever beta. Why? Because there are better and more pertinent stories to be told. There are other achievers who have really broken the set paths, to chart their own destiny. These are the stories that we ought to pay heed to, share with the young and old, but most of all, get inspired by and strive for. View this post on Instagram Connected ð A post shared by Ishan Goel (@ishansgoel) on Jan 29, 2018 at 1:16am PST Such is the tale of 19-year-old Ishan Goel who turned around, and did something unexpected and unheard of. When an egg broke the internet earlier this month, completely smashing Kylie Jenner's hold on having the world record of “most liked picture on Instagram” with its very own 50 million+ likes on Instagram, we are sure nobody saw that virality coming. With almost 3 times the number of likes on Kylie Jenner's picture, Ishan's clever move paid off, with a very simple call to action - “like this picture of an egg to beat Kylie's record”. And boy, did word spread like wildfire? People from all over the world came together to topple Kylie's record, and the rest is history. View this post on Instagram Let's set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this ð #LikeTheEgg #EggSoldiers #EggGang A post shared by EGG GANG ð (@world_record_egg) on Jan 4, 2019 at 9:05am PST Now, when most of us heard about the “world_record_egg” we thought this was yet another senseless social media challenge people are giving in to. But little did we know that for Massachusetts based 19-year-old Ishan Goel, this was his life-changing moment. Often hailed as a marketing guru, Egg Gang (https://www.instagram.com/world_record_egg/ ) was Ishan's brainchild. Turns out this avid marketing genius had laid out a full-fledged plan to break Kylie's record even before he set up the Egg Gang record. He went all out preparing for his final attack, which involved reaching out to his network of celebs, influencers and friends to like the page, as well as pushing the challenge out on Reddit! View this post on Instagram stormi webster ð¼ð½ A post shared by Kylie (@kyliejenner) on Feb 6, 2018 at 1:14pm PST Ishan explained his strategy in detail in an interview: “There are two core reasons that this post took off. The first is that the internet fell in love with the idea of using a crowdsourced approach to be able to have a touchpoint to a celebrity that could potentially influence that celebrity's actions or, at the very least, garner a response from them. The second is that the internet quickly began to see it as a challenge, which inspired people to invest their time and energy into helping drive the post into a frenzy.” But in case you thought this was Ishan's first brush with viral digital marketing, you are highly mistaken. Teenage proved that Ishan Goel was no less than a child prodigy, when he managed to raise highest donations for his school's American Heart Association program, as a 13-year-old. That's not all, Ishan successfully established his own marketing firm at the age of 14, and by the time he turned 15, Ishan was already working with American business mogul and investor, Mark Cuban! View this post on Instagram 15 years old. That's how old I was when I decided to walk up to @mcuban and pitch myself. Fast forward to today, I've managed to work on numerous projects with him and his team and it's been an amazing privilege. Age shouldn't stop you from doing anything you want. A post shared by Ishan Goel (@ishansgoel) on Jan 19, 2018 at 3:22pm PST Talking about the huge success that his personal egg challenge turned out to be, he told FEMAIL in an interview that, “The idea that an inanimate object can connect so many people is a testament to the fact that people love to root for the underdog”. Ishan is hopeful that his unusual story will inspire other youngsters around the world to break free set societal fates, and push their luck so that they can seize every chance they get to launch their careers early, and have an edge over everyone else. As for those of you wondering how Kylie took this defeat, she broke an egg on the street and shared it on Instagram to convey her disappointment. 7. How many times have we read this script? An expensive sports car speeding on a highway; an unexpected turn led on by a break in concentration; and a painful death. © TNN Yesterday, Kolkata witnessed the same horrific script as Shibaji Roy, the owner of a prominent sanitary ware chain in the city died inside a smashed Ferrari near Domjur in Howrah on NH-6. Shibaji was a part of a motorcade on a weekend ritual that involved taking friends and family on long drives in high-end luxury and sports cars. “Shibaji owns a Jaguar F Type but on Sunday he was driving my Ferrari as he was planning to buy it. He was test-driving it for a few days. Shibaji had started the drive with his son Shreyan, but on our way back, our friend Adarsh Suarana's daughter Aashna hopped into the Ferrari. Adarsh was driving the BMW i8 and was just ahead of Shibaji,” said Suresh Tolani, owner of a popular sari store at Sudder Street and a super-car enthusiast. Close friends who witnessed the accident have reported that the 43-year-old Shibaji Roy was driving a Ferrari California T when it took a sharp right turn after a truck suddenly slowed down. The Ferrari slammed the railings of the Pakuria flyover and crashed into an iron rail on the bridge at a speed of around 120kmph. The extreme velocity with which the sports car hit the railing was later witnessed by rescue workers who said that the railing pierced straight through the engine and hit Shibaji in the chest. He died on the spot and was declared brought dead at the Calcutta Medical Research Institute. © TNN 17-year old Shreyan, Shibaji's son, had a lucky escape as he gave up his ride in the Ferrari to accommodate a friend. The police are now working on leads to get some information about who the truck driver in front of the Ferrari was and if it was solely a case of speeding gone wrong. “No one remembers the truck's licence plate number and we may have a problem tracing it in the absence of CCTVs in the vicinity,” said an officer of Domjur police station. This case, as many others before it, once again shows that Indian roads are not meant for sports vehicles and no matter how safe they are, there's no escape if you lose control.

  9. Last night when the match started taking an obvious turn, all Rajasthan Royals fans seemed to have lost hope. Mumbai Indians kept on taking wickets and the chase got harder. With 33 runs pending from just 11 balls, it seemed like not much was left of this game. 10. After slamming a match-winning 63 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Chris Gayle hammered his way to a blistering hundred in his second game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 against Sunrisers Hyderabad to ensure Kings XI Punjab romped to a 15-run win and registered their third triumph this season. Coming into the game against Hyderabad, with all their bowlers possessing an economy rate of less than eight an over, and accounting 23 wickets between them, Kings XI Punjab undoubtedly had their work cut out. The big question was whether their power-packed top order was good enough to yield the kind of results that it is known for, especially against a quality bowling attack? And, as it turned out, with Gayle in their armoury, Punjab proved to be efficient enough to tilt the game in their favour. © BCCI The Jamaican marauder slammed a breath-taking 104 off 63 balls including 11 towering sixes and a four. But, don't let the number of sixes fool you. This wasn't a typical Gayle innings. Just like Virender Sehwag's ideology of 'I see the ball, I hit the ball', Gayle is more of an enforcer who definitely isn't famous for pacing his innings the way someone like Virat Kohli or AB de Villiers are. But, against Hyderabad, cricket fans got a rare glimpse of a potentially new-age Gayle - one who weighed his options, took calculated risks and paced his innings to perfection in order to aid his side. From start to finish, it was a Gayle innings that was a juxtaposition of his previous devastating ways. A total of 11 sixes in the innings would point towards a lot of destruction. But those were intermittent and part of an all-encompassing package - a 63-ball 104, which was also the slowest of his six IPL tons - that served more as a weapon made for disintegration rather than demolition. © BCCI His knock meant that Punjab, in their own backyard and with the crowd on their side, managed to post an imposing total of 193 runs. And, a brace from Andrew Tye and Mohit Sharma meant that Hyderabad - despite fifties from Kane Williamson and Manish Pandey - fell short by 15 runs in the end. In the overall analysis of the game, there is little doubt that Gayle reigned supreme. For a man who was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) owing to inconsistent form ahead of the IPL 2018 auction, Gayle seems to be making a statement while hammering opposition bowlers for Punjab this season. 11. Muslim Aid staff and volunteers work as they attempt to construct and cook the world's largest samosa at the East London Mosque in London on August 22, 2017. AFP/Ben Stansall LONDON: The world record for the largest samosa was smashed in London on Tuesday by a whopping version of the popular Asian snack weighing in at 153.1 kilogrammes (337.5 pounds). A dozen volunteers from the Muslim Aid UK charity built the giant samosa then deep-fried it in a custom-built vat at an East London Mosque. Adjudicators from Guinness World Records were on hand to oversee the process and certify that the mega-samosa passed the required tests. The previous record of 110.8 kilogrammes was set by Bradford College in northern England in June 2012. The samosa was built on a giant wire mesh, then winched into a vat of cooking oil before being hauled out to be weighed. "My heart was beating really fast," said Farid Islam, 26, the project organiser. "It was very tense. It looked like it was going to slide off. A crack appeared and I feared the worst," he told AFP. Thumbs-up verdict Guinness World Records adjudicator Pravin Patel spelt out the rules. "It's got to be triangular; contain flour, potatoes, onions, and peas; be fried, and retain the shape when cooked," he told AFP. "It's got to look and feel like a samosa; it's got to be edible by humans. "The critical record is the net weight. Plus it all has to be eaten. No wastage!" After the team carefully made the triangle-shaped super-snack, it was hauled up to the industrial winch by the biggest men available and slowly plunged into the vat. Once it was winched out, and after the nervy weigh-in, the independent food safety officer, who had overseen proceedings, gave it the taste test. A simple thumbs-up triggered cheers around the hall. It was then down to Patel to tie up all the certification and deliver the verdict: 153.1 kilogrammes. "It's an absolutely great achievement," he declared. Organiser Islam said it was a tough challenge. "Initially I thought it would be a piece of cake: stuff it together, tie up the end and fry it," he said. "When I realised there was not a single pot in the country that could hold that weight, we had to get something tailor made." The samosa took around 15 hours of work and was dished up into hundreds of portions distributed to the local homeless via the Salvation Army.
  12. MS Dhoni might have turned a year older but for his fans, he is still the beloved ‘Mahi'. Yesterday, he called in his birthday with the Indian cricket team, his wife and daughter, Ziva. Happy B'day Mahi bhai.. wish you lots of happiness, peace and success going ahead. God bless @mahi7781 😇 A post shared by Virat Kohli (@virat.kohli) on Jul 7, 2017 at 11:15am PDT Another one from the celebrations! 😋 A post shared by Virat Kohli (@virat.kohli) on Jul 7, 2017 at 11:50am PDT His warm and fun filled birthday party was a huge success and the pictures on social media only make us feel more jealous. #saathsaatheksaath ! Dhoni cut the cake and smashed it on his face himself so others didn't have to do it! That's called being a sport. We wish Mahi a very prosperous and a beautiful life ahead.
  13. Functional training is hands down one of the most effective training modules in existence. Sadly though, it is also one of the most butchered. Tons of sedentary people are jumping straight into functional workouts at commercial gyms, where ‘drugged trainers’ who have no idea about functional movement patterns misguide people into doing complex movements. The result? More than half end up either hurt or at the doctor’s within the first few days of training. KB Swings: A Great Movement Pattern That Is Butchered Everyday For Countless Reps © Youutbe If I had to pick one functional exercise which results in a lot of injuries, it would be the popular kettle bell swings. It’s not the exercise that’s bad. It’s a great movement pattern. The effectiveness of KB swings spreads across the domains of flexibility, mobility, strength and balance (if balance can be trained). It’s probably one of a very few moves that can build strength that can help you perform better. So, yup, it’s your form that sucks. Repeating swings after swing with poor form will definitely make you non-functional at best. The Basics: The Purpose Of Kettle Bell Swings Is Misunderstood KB swings primarily train the hip extension. That’s that. Forget about gym goers, even most desi coaches think that either it’s a squat variation or abdominal training. What follows is an epidemic of high repetition ‘back herniating’ swings. If your lumbar spine (the place where the back bends inwards) is extended at lockout, you will only be training or exerting undue pressure on it while getting negligible help from the hips. The Quality Of Each Swing Matters More Than How Many Reps You Can Do The hip hinge is what you need to focus on before you move on to do high rep sets. That’s the single most important thing you need to take care of. It’s A Hinge NOT A Squat! © Breakingmuscle Briefly put- squatting is a triple flexion movement, i.e. triple extension movement. It stimulates flexion and extension at your knees, ankles and hips. That’s why the triple. KB swings are nothing like that. Since all the movement happens at the hip during the swing, there’s much less extension-flexion happening at the ankles and the knees. Swing: Maximal Hip Bend And Minimal Knee Bend Squat: Maximal Hip Bend And Maximal Knee Bend Stance And Movement Pattern © Breakingmuscle The shins stay almost vertical to the ground, torso leans perpendicularly forward and the butt pushes back. That’s the stance you need to assume first. Lowering The KB The spine position must remain consistent as you lower and tighten your abs simultaneously. Please don’t round out your back like a scared cat. If that happens, choose a lighter weight. Now, as you lower, your knees will flex but it should look nothing like sitting in a squat position. There’s a very evident difference. Take a look in the mirror and practice till you get it right. © Youtube Hiking The KB The up-swing is called hiking. The neck remains straight and not arched up. Look straight, right in front of you. Now, the bell will won’t go up way over your head. Keep the elevation a little above your shoulder height. If you take it way up, the lower back and shoulders will get awkwardly involved, taking the stress away from the hips. The Forward Swing © Strong first The middle phase of the swing is called the forward swing. Here, picture that you are lifting from your hips not the hands. The swing must come from your hip snap and contraction of your glutes. Common Errors You Can Notice And Fix Yourself 1. Sitting down too low into a squat. Remember- you don’t have to squat as you lower your body. 2. Not snapping the hips while in the forward swing motion. The lift comes from the hips and glutes, not the arms. 3. Not bracing/tightening the core through the movement. 4. Letting the bell drag you forward. KB swings, when done with high volume and mostly anaerobic concentration can do wonders for body re-composition. Hence learn this and apply it to your workouts!
  14. This is the final goodbye from MS Dhoni, the captain. The guy who renounced his captaincy for a younger chief-in-waiting, smashed the English lineup for 68 runs in just 40 balls at a strike rate of 170. He hit eight fours and two sixes in his scintillating knock at Brabourne Stadium. © BCCL A good crowd had built up to watch Dhoni captain the side for the last time in an international game and he acknowledged this support and love from his fans at the toss. He, however, started off slow as he took the crease but got into the groove in the death overs. He scored 23 runs in the final over and showed that he is ready to play like he did when he first arrived on the international scene, under Virat Kohli. This is the last game Dhoni will ever captain for India internationally, if we exclude his IPL formalities. © BCCL The Indian team wears an unsettled look as of right now with plenty of players vying for at least three spots in the squad. Manish Pandey, Ambati Rayudu and Sanju Samson don’t quite fit right into the team as of now and will need to prove their worth on the international scene and make the middle order a little more stable with their performances. © BCCL The Indian team will bank on Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni as experienced players to finish off the games. Dhoni will fit in the finisher’s role quite comfortably now that he is free from managing an entire squad. The first ODI against England at Pune will provide a glimpse into the post Dhoni captaincy era and plenty of changes are expected to find a suitable mix of players before the champions trophy in June.
  15. It's been nine years since Yuvraj Singh smashed England's Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over during the inaugural edition of the World T20 tournament. And, a lot has changed since then. Yuvi is no longer a force to be reckoned with. He is struggling to make his return to the Indian team and recently, he married to Bollywood actress, Hazel Keech, in an intimate affair. But, while the 34-year-old finds himself occupied with the festivities of marriage, another Indian batsman has etched his name in the history books for hitting six sixes in an over. © Twitter Sagar Mishra, on Wednesday, became only the third Indian cricketer in history to smack six consecutive sixes in an over. Ravi Shastri and Yuvraj are the other two Indians to hold such record. While batting for Western Railways in their Times Shield 'B' Division match against RCF, the 23-year-old cut a sorry figure for off-spinner Tushar Kumare after smashing six sixes in his over. The budding all-rounder smashed nine sixes off the last 11 deliveries of his blistering innings - 46-ball 91. © BCCL "I'm an all-rounder. I bat at five and six, which means that I have to bat with the tail. I needed to develop my game accordingly, because the opponents tend to spread the field. I needed to learn how to clear the field," Mishra was quoted as saying by The Times of India. While expressing his disappointment for not missing out on a hundred, the left-hander was ecstatic for matching Yuvraj's feat. "I was promoted to No.4, because their left-arm spinner was bowling well and I was sent to up the scoring rate. I just played normally, according to the situation. My only regret is that I couldn't complete my hundred," he said. © BCCL "It's a dream come true. I remember watching Yuvraj Singh's six sixes in an over on TV nine years back. Never did I imagine that I'd do something similar," Mishra added. Despite Mishra's blitz, Yuvraj remains the only Indian cricketer to have achieved the feat in international cricket. While playing for Mumbai in 1985, cricketer-turned-commentator Shastri had notched up the milestone during a Ranji tie when he hammered a Baroda spinner for six sixes in an over.
