  1. Perfumes are awesome! They smell amazing and can last much longer than even the best of deodorants. © Instagram/chrishemsworth Wondering how? Well, there is a certain way and order that one needs to keep in mind when using perfumes. Of course, storing it plays an important role, but more than that, how you apply it, and whether you’ve prepared your skin before applying it, play a much more important role. © Instagram/kartikaaryan Read on to find out how you can make your perfumes smell fresher for longer: 1. Choose The Right Perfume © iStock First and foremost, you have to choose the right formulation. Perfumes fall into four basic categories depending on their concentration. Eau Fraiche is basically a mist with very low perfume concentration. The fragrance usually lasts for about two hours. Next, we have the Eau de Cologne, which has about four per cent perfume concentration. They last about 4 hours before they start fading away. Then there’s Eau de Toilette, with anywhere between five to 15 per cent perfume concentration. They last for about 7-8 hours before they start to fade. Finally, we have Eau de Parfum, with the highest perfume concentration, anywhere between 20-25 per cent. They can easily last for over 12 hours before they start fading. Do note, that the higher the perfume concentration, the higher will be the price. Also, Eau de Parfums have a stronger and heavier fragrance. You will have to figure out your usage before finalising a concentration. 2. Prepare Your Skin Properly © iStock Instead of spritzing your perfume on dry skin, moisturise yourself first. If you use a perfume right after you’ve taken a shower and moisturised, it is guaranteed to last longer. Also, instead of spritzing some perfume on your clothes, you should always use it on your skin. 3. Vaseline Is Your Friend © iStock Another nifty little hack to make your perfumes last longer is to first rub some vaseline or some petroleum jelly on the points where you would normally spray your perfume. Ideally, these should be the area right behind both your ears and your wrists. Vaseline has been known to moisten up your skin and help the oils in your perfume get absorbed better 4. Don’t Rub Your Perfume In © iStock One mistake that most people make with perfumes, is that they rub their wrists thinking it will help the perfume start emanating its fragrance sooner, and from a wider area. Rubbing the skin once you have applied the perfume, destroys the top layer of the fragrance, by oxidising it faster than it should. This means the perfume will start fading quicker. 5. Don’t Shake The Bottle © iStock Another mistake that most people make is to shake the bottle of the perfume before using it as if it was some sort of a deo. Because perfume bottles tend to last longer than most deos, the oil in the perfume starts breaking down when they are agitated. Over time, this reduces the potency, as well as the staying power of the perfume. 6. Layer Your Perfume With Similar Scents © iStock Most perfume makers will launch a variety of products based on the same fragrance. Soaps, scented moisturisers, and sometimes, even talcum powders. It is actually a good idea to use these combos, because not only are they economical, they also help in layering the perfume better. This way, the fragrance has a better chance of staying on for longer, as it doesn’t clash with any other scent. 7. Reapply When Necessary © iStock Now, if you have the option of keeping multiple bottles of the same perfume, or can carry a perfume in your bag, you definitely should be doing that, especially if your perfume has a lighter scent. As the day goes by, just reapply a little bit of the perfume to freshen it up. This comes especially useful when you’re needed to go in for a meeting with an important client, or when you’re going on a date after work. 8. The Tissue Hack © iStock Finally, there is the tissue hack. Spray a tissue paper with your perfume, or just dab tissue paper on the areas where you spray your perfumes regularly. Keep this piece of tissue in your closet, in the area where you store your shirts. In fact, you can keep two to three such pieces. Your clothes will pick the fragrance up. When you actually use the perfume the next time, the fragrance from your clothes acts as a secondary layer of the perfume. TL;DR - Use Your Perfumes Wisely To Get The Most Out Of Them Perfumes by themselves have a much better-staying power, and a better fragrance when compared to deos. There are many ways where you can get the best out of them and make a regular bottle of perfume last much longer. View the full article

  4. All of us men want to ace that date with the woman we find attractive. In fact, we are even working out through the week to make sure that our biceps, no matter how they appear, are bulging out of our shirts so that we look as attractive as possible on date night. However, despite many preparations, some things can go overlooked and could very well be the difference between the date being an absolute success or a sad failure. So, to make sure that you give yourself the best possible shot, here are a few quick things you need to check 15 minutes before heading out on a date. 1. Use That Perfume Well © iStock It goes without saying that smelling good is a key factor in an attraction, and this is the main reason why you should keep this at the top of your priority list. Make sure you use that perfume, deodorant, aftershave, or attar in the right quantity before heading out, because trust me, she will want you to smell good 2. Brush Once, Rinse And Use A Mint-Based Mouth Freshener © iStock The worst thing on a date could be that you are trying to smile at her and she notices the palak ki sabzi from last night stuck between your teeth. In order for you to take care of that, just brush once more before heading out as a mandate and even use Listerine or a mint-based mouth freshener for her to know you take good care of your basic hygiene. 3. Make Sure Your Sneakers Or Boots Are Spotless © iStock As men, we might not notice everything that the girl might be wearing on the date, but trust me when I say this. She sure will. And if she sees your converse shoes or formal boots are dirty, it's not a great first impression. Not that you should cater to everything that a woman wants from you, but it sort of comes as a basic responsibility of you taking care of your own possessions. I mean, just look at it this way. If she thinks you can't even take care of this, how will she expect you to take care of her? 4. Apply Proper Lip Care © iStock Chapped lips never look nice. So, no matter the weather, ensure that you try applying a bit of lip care to make sure your lips look great when you head out on that date. Also, just in case you end up kissing after the date, it's always good to be completely prepared. 5. Make Sure Your Nails Are As Clean As Your Teeth © iStock Nothing is worse than picking up that sandwich on the date and she notices you have some dirt stuck in between your fingernails. I know we all work hard at the gym, and sometimes don't get the time to trim our nails when we should, but trust me. This goes a long way to ensure that she knows you are very particular about cleanliness. Also, there are other reasons for keeping your nails clean and if you're with someone in the future, she'll tell you that anyhow. 6. Trim That Beard Or Shave Again If You Like To Give Your Face All The Right Edges © iStock Okay! Important. We know that we shouldn't try to change a lot of things about ourselves just because of someone else. But in order to ensure that you do your best on the date, it is crucial that you take proper care of your facial hair. If you like to have a clean-shaven look, then make sure you shave before the date, or if you keep a beard, try trimming the edges to give yourself the edgiest look possible. Having sharp features is a good way to go about things. 7. Map Up A Fun Date Idea That You Can Pursue After The Date © iStock This is one thing that you need to mentally prepare yourself. Sometimes, planning for a date- What you're going to do, where you're going to eat, which movie you can watch, or which museum you can go to, could be the difference between having a fun date or a date to forget. So, open up Google on the fun things to do in your city, and make sure you take her to a place where you can dine as well as have a good experience together. It's okay to also be casual if you want to, but plans do have a higher chance of working well. View the full article
  5. Earlier today, the official Twitter handle of the Royal Challengers Bangalore was rumoured to be hacked after a peculiar tweet was shared from the account while replying to billionaire Elon Musk’s picture of his pet dog. RCB twitter hacked? pic.twitter.com/LbPQhVkTzs — Rounak (@chaicoffeee) September 12, 2021 Later in the day, the Indian Premier League franchise confirmed the suspicions and accepted the fact that their account was indeed “compromised”. The team management also issued an apology for any kind of inconvenience this little stunt would have caused to anyone. Dear 12th Man Army, our Twitter account was compromised a few hours ago and we have now managed to get the access back. We condemn the tweet that the hackers put out and we do not endorse any content from that tweet, which we have now deleted. We regret the inconvenience caused. — Royal Challengers Bangalore (@RCBTweets) September 13, 2021 “Dear 12th Man Army, our Twitter account was compromised a few hours ago and we have now managed to get the access back. We condemn the tweet that the hackers put out and we do not endorse any content from that tweet, which we have now deleted. We regret the inconvenience caused,” RCB’s official Twitter account shared from their handle. The only problem was that the hacker turned out to be extremely boring and the only thing that he did was replying to Musk sharing the picture of his dog. And even the reply spoke about how Musk’s automobile company Tesla got $1.5 billion in environmental subsidies back in 2020. RCB fans and their followers are rather disappointed with the hacker’s efforts after they got access to the team’s account. Instead of sharing funny jokes or rumours about their cricketers, all the intruder did was remove their account’s profile picture and write a nerdy reply to Musk’s tweet. Here’s how the fans reacted: Hacker couldve tweeted more interesting things but sadly https://t.co/qytxnuYS2k — Pratham (@Pratham_WI) September 13, 2021He should have changed name to Royal Challengers Bengaluru — ಸುದರ್ಶನ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ Sudarshan Shetty (@SudShetty1312) September 13, 2021Who would even hack a tinpot franchise acc like urs — Manoj Arjun (@ManojArjun8) September 13, 2021The Hacker should have changed the name to Bengaluru. — That Introvert Guy (@ShetruSays) September 13, 2021very disappointing — Yogesh Kumar Pandey (@ykp08022002) September 13, 2021The Royal Challengers Bangalore sent a charter flight to England to collect Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj and bring them to the United Arab Emirates where the second half of IPL 2021 will be conducted after getting disrupted midway due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. Overall, 31 matches are to be held in the UAE spread across Dubai (13), Abu Dhabi (8) and Sharjah (10). After the breach of the bio-bubble earlier this year in April, the BCCI has also come up with a 46-page health advisory that everyone in the league - from groundsmen to the captains of the eight franchises will have to follow in order to maintain the smooth execution of the remainder of the tournament, keeping in mind the COVID-19 risk. 7. While some of us have lost all semblance of a work-life balance, thanks to working from home, others have managed to take full advantage of this phenomenon, using some rather ingenious solution. © iStock A post on Reddit blew up recently when a man shared a rather unique experience about working from home. He stated that he had discovered a way to finish up 8 hours worth of work in just two hours, and would enjoy the remaining 5-6 hours, just browsing the internet, day trading, and looking at YouTube videos. © iStock If you think that the man found a super-efficient way to work, well you are just partially right. In reality, the guy found it a very cool trick to hack the system and use automation to do most of the leg work. © iStock He said, that most of the times, his job entails writing reports based on some calculations. Now, no matter what the situation is, the calculations are usually similar in nature. Therefore, he tried to use some basic MS Office tools to make his work easier. © iStock He said that he created a large and quite extensively detailed database on Excel, set the formulas every day that he worked, let Excel carry out the calculations, and give out automated sentences, which, again, would be automatically exported as a Word document. © iStock The end result was, that the work that his colleagues would take about 8 hours to finish, he would finish it up in under two hours. Seems a little too hunky-dory, doesn’t it? Well, the man wasn’t supposed to enjoy this utopia that he had created for himself for very long. He had a girlfriend who was working in the same company and would report to the same manager. The OP shared his trick with his girlfriend and taught her how to do this as well. After they broke up for some reason, his ex-girlfriend, revealed this to his boss. © iStock She also shared his screen via Skype, and unbeknownst to him, he proceeded to live his workday, as he usually did - set up his work, and then browse the internet, watch YouTube videos, and day-trading. The next day, he was called in by HR for some disciplinary action. The HR apparently had screenshots and videos of what he was doing. Luckily, the man wasn’t terminated. He also stated that he now regretted showing off this hack to his ex-girlfriend. © iStock Several other users commented below his post, saying that this hack should have been a secret that he should have taken to his grave. Another user commented that this is why one should never reveal the secrets of their trade, to anyone, ever. What do you make of this situation? Suppose you find a secret hack for your job that made your life much easier, would you keep it to yourself, or tell a select few people? Do let us know in the comments below. View the full article

  9. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that Rock Star Yash has one of the most awesome beards we have ever seen in films. © Instagram/thenameisyash No wonder that fans want to grow and maintain a beard that is as long and as luscious as his. In fact, most men start growing out their beards, hoping that some day, they too can sport a long and thick beard that looks glorious. © Instagram/thenameisyash Now, while growing your beard to that length may take some time, making it look thick and luscious doesn’t need to be. In fact, even if you have a short-boxed beard that grows in a patchy manner, you can make it look thick, densely growing, and fuller. How? © Instagram/thenameisyash Just follow these basic beard styling hacks and in no time, you can make your beard look fuller and thicker. 1. Apply Some Beard Wax & Shape Your Beard © iStock First and foremost, get a good beard wax. A wax gives your beard a firm hold and allow you to tame it, and style it. Furthermore, a beard wax protects the hair of the beard, as well as the roots from the elements, while giving it an appearance of being thick and fuller. 2. Use A Beard Filler, If Growth Is An Issue © iStock If you have very patchy growth and are looking for a quick fix to make your beard look thick and dense, you have to go for a beard filler. Shampoo & Condition Your Beard © iStock Certain beard shampoos and conditioners actually fluff up your beard. Go for these products, instead of a regular shampoo or soap, which just flattens your beard, and makes them look lifeless. A beard conditioner, just like a good hair conditioner, is a quick and easy way to instantly give your facial hair some much-needed volume. 4. Blow Dry, Instead Of Letting It Air Dry © iStock Blow drying your beard again, makes it look fluffy and more voluminous. Letting your beard air dry, allows the beard to set itself in a certain, non-flattering way, thanks to the weight of the water. Brush Your Beard Regularly © iStock One of the best ways to shape and style your beard is to use a brush. Use one that is made using animal hair, as that makes your life much easier. 10. Male Pattern Baldness is a sad reality for a lot of people, especially Indian men. © PVR Pictures While a few of us have really great genes, and a good head of hair because of them, a vast majority of peoplearen’t that fortunate. For most Indian men, no matter how good care they take of their hair, male pattern baldness, or hair fall is all but certain. © Instagram/akshaykumar The only way to completely avoid male pattern baldness is to take extremely good care of your hair and scalp, consult expert dermatologists regularly, and most importantly have good genes. © Instagram/ayushmannk Or, you can take the easy way out, deal with the male pattern baldness as it progresses, and use some basic hairstyling hacks to cover things up. Can you use hairstyling hacks to actually cover up male pattern baldness? Sure you can! Here we list a few: 1. The Length Of Your Hair © Instagram/aparshakti_khurana You don’t want your hair to be too short, nor do you want it to be too long, as both of them make things very obvious. Ideally, you should aim for a length that allows you to comb your hair backwards, and does not make it go haywire. So keep your hair moderately on the shorter side. 2. The Hairstyle You Choose © Instagram/vickykaushal09 A pompadour or something similar, where you get to shape your hair in a way that concentrates volume, and is preferably upwards in direction is your best bet. There are a number of variations of the classic pompadour that you can consider. If you trust your barber to help you out with a style that would work for you, then great, otherwise, consult a hairstylist if you feel like it. 3. The Hair Products © iStock You need to choose your hair products very carefully. Forget products like hair gels, and wax and other heavy products. Invest in a good shampoo, and a mousse, both of which, should suit your dermatologically. The idea is to make your hair look voluminous, so go for products that add volume. 4. The Accessories © Instagram/aparshakti_khurana Accessorise as much as you can. You also have a ton of options to choose from apart from baseball caps. Pick up a bucket cap, or a fedora hat, and trust us, you will be amping up your style as well. Just make sure that whatever you go for, it is a bit breathable, and does not suffocate your scalp. 5. Or, Just Flaunt It Like A Boss © Instagram/therock For most of us, there will come a point of time when no matter what you do, you just can’t hide your bald spot anymore. If you really don't want to go for a hair transplant surgery or a scalp micro pigmentation, we suggest that you shave it off completely. Trust us, you will look far better with no hair, with half a head of hair, that is trying to cover up your entire head. The Bottom Line… Although male pattern baldness is something that we all have to deal with at some point in time or the other. There are some ways using which you can style your hair in a certain way that hides your bald spot, but in the longer run, it is better if you just shave things off, and embrace going clean-shaven. 11. There are several reasons why man boobs happen and trust us, it's not a bad sign at all. Fortunately, there are ways in which it's possible to conceal them with a few adjustments in your style and wardrobe. Starting with what you wear below to utilising accessories, here are six ways in which you can take the attention away from the chest area and look fashionable. 1. Stick To Dark Colours © iStock Dark colours usually work for man boobs. They have the potential to add the slimming down effect. The darker hues do not draw any attention to the chest area. Choose colours like black, charcoal grey, dark blue, etc. as they are your safe bet. You can also try pastel hues, to minimise the appearance of man boobs, as they look better than plain white. 2. Opt For Compression Shirt © iStock A compression shirt is designed in spandex or neoprene fabric. It's a functional base layer, which helps to conceal the chest area and a comfortable style that offers stability around the torso. They come in a variety of silhouettes, including a tank tee, T-shirt and full-sleeve T-shirts. If you can't afford to go for compression shirts, buy undershirts in blended fabrics that are a size smaller than your original size. 3. Hide It With Small Patterns © iStock Patterned shirts are a good and bad idea both. The right ones can distract from the chest area whereas the wrong ones will highlight it. In that case, favour smaller patterns that are closer together. For example, opt for ones that don't create a lot of colour contrast. Smaller blue checks or all-over print are some good options. 4. Slim Down With Pinstripes © iStock When it comes to suits, they are naturally slimming due to the colour and the texture that's uniform from head to hoe. When you are shopping for suits, ensure you go for narrow pinstripes instead of large patterned suits. Steer clear of windowpane or glen plaids, as they can emphasise your man boobs. 5. Wear Thick Fabrics When Possible © iStock Going for thicker fabrics is a great way to conceal man boobs. While that's possible for colder locations, you can still opt for other textured fabrics that are suitable for all weather conditions like canvas, corduroy, denim etc. These materials are not thin and will take the attention away from your chest area. 6. Wear Other Accent Pieces © iStock Wearing accent pieces, for example, a pair of sneakers, or a wristwatch helps create an alternative focal point. The idea here is to use accessories as a trick. That in no way means you end up wearing every accessory in your wardrobe. Also, avoid wearing low necklines and other accessories like chains or necklaces. View the full article

This can be attributed to the seasonal perspiration as well as greasy skin, but nothing that can't be fixed. Here's a quick guide to help you deal with these two problems so you can get great pictures even when you step out in the heat. 1. Switch To A Matte SunscreenSometimes using sunscreens can prove to be counterintuitive. Switch to mattifying sunscreens that make sure your skin doesn't seem oily post-application. You could try the Re'equil Ultra Matte Dry-Touch Sunscreen gel SPF 50. 2. Add An Oil-Control Face WashWe tend to secrete more oil in the summer months, which may make our face look greasy in pictures. Switching to an oil-control facewash tends to remove all the excess oil and also gives your skin a matte look at the same time. You could try something mild that gets the job done flawlessly, like MUD Natural face wash. __ECOMPRODUCT__41__ 3. Switch To Breezy 'FitsStepping out in Summer months can be a tricky situation. Make Sure You Have A 'CTM' Skincare RoutineA standard 'CTM' skincare routine consists of cleansing, toning and moisturising. While we're certain that you have your face wash and moisturisier in place, adding a toner to the routine can be a total game-changer. You could try the Plum Green Tea Alcohol-Free toner. __ECOMPRODUCT__1375__ 5. Always Keep Face Wipes HandyIf you find yourself sweating in the middle of the day, face wipes can really help fix that in a minute. You can keep a bunch handy in your stash View the full article

Shave after a shower to get a close shave sans ingrown hair. The hot water and the subsequent steam will make your hair follicles softer and easier to cut. 3. Wash your face and use a scrub weekly which helps fix the existing ingrown hair and helps even out the skin. © iStock 4. Use an applicator foam or gel-based shaving supplement. This product acts as a skin barrier to help protect against sharp blades' impact on the skin.
