  1. Kiran Gosavi, the highly controversial 'independent witness' of the Narcotics Control Bureau that detained Aryan Khan in the cruise ship drug scandal, was finally detained in Pune by the police. Gosavi was the person who was seen in the selfie with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan just after the star kid was detained by the NCB from the Goa-bound cruise ship. © Twitter However, soon after the image went viral on the internet, Gosavi was nowhere to be found, with people speculating who exactly he was and why he was clicking a selfie with Shah Rukh's eldest son. Well now, weeks after absconding, Gosavi was finally arrested by the Pune police after a lookout notice had been stamped over his head for being involved in a 2018 cheating case. © Twitter The arrest comes three days after Gosavi claimed that he had offered to surrender himself to the Uttar Pradesh police in Lucknow, with the police refusing to accept his surrender. A private investigator by profession, Gosavi had stated that he felt "threatened" in Maharashtra and wanted to surrender, however, his claims were refuted by the Lucknow police. According to the videos and photos taken by Gosavi right after the arrest showed that he had unlimited access to Aryan. Later, this clearly brought up questions about NCB's investigation by Maharashtra's ruling alliance with many leaders asking as to why an "independent witness" of the agency was present at the cruise ship raid, the office, and how he could take selfies with Aryan. Gosavi's name is also a thing of particular interest as he is accused of extorting money from Shah Rukh for the release of his son Aryan. Earlier, Prabhakar Sail, another witness in the cruise ship drugs case, had said he had proof of the payoff allegations made against Gosavi. Sail, who claimed to be Gosavi's personal bodyguard said that he had overheard Gosavi and one Sam D'Souza talking about a Rs 25 crore payoff to let off Aryan Khan in the case. "They were discussing that Rs 8 crore would go to NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede," Sail claimed at a press conference earlier. However, Gosavi on Monday released a video statement to rubbish Sail's account. He said, "Sail is lying. I just want to request that his CDR (call details record) should be released. My CDR report or chat should be issued, along with the CDR report of Sail and his brother, then everything will be clear. At least one minister or any leader of the opposition from Maharashtra should stand with me. At least they should request the Mumbai Police to do what I am asking (to release CDR and chat of Sail." Seems like the Aryan Khan drug case took yet another interesting turn. View the full article

  8. Manyavar is known for coming up with these unique ads which try to bend the rules we all have been following blindly, through their wedding collection. The idea is to connect with the modern brides and their ideology when it comes to their big day. © Instagram/Mohey Fashion After the #DulhanWaliFeeling ad featuring Alia Bhatt that spoke to the millennial women, they have now tried to revisit the traditions of kanyadaan, a ritual where the parents of the bride give away their daughter. However, the new ad is not sitting well with the audience this time. © Instagram/Mohey Fashion In the video, Alia Bhatt, a bride clad in brand’s bridalwear, boasts about how she has always been pampered at her parent’s house while constantly being reminded that she is a ‘paraya dhan’ who would be sent to ‘her home’ one day by her relatives. © Instagram/Mohey Fashion At the time of kanyadaan, she questions “Am I a thing to be donated?” and says it should be ‘kanyamaan’, and not ‘kanyadaan’. The ad has apparently touched the nerve of some people who had a lot to say about the brand's ‘audacity’ to question and challenge the Hindu wedding rituals. © Instagram/Mohey Fashion They also had a problem with how every brand ever criticises the Hindu customs only. I have a question, why does it always come down to one thing i.e. religion? Here is how people are reacting to the ad: Multiple thoughts on what @aliaa08 thought getting into this: 1) I will become 4th wife but atleast I will have my dignity! 2) Kanyadan bad, father giving away bride in Church is sooo romantic and kool. 3) In her religion she doesn't get equal inheritance.#KanyaDaan #Mohey pic.twitter.com/dvXaGvvUq7 — Wokeflix (@wokeflix_) September 18, 2021She did an ad for mohay fashion !! They changed the name of the ritual from kanyadhan to kanyamaan .. I mean these are the same idiots who find father giving away daughters hand in church is beautiful but they give us gyaan about hindu rituals — pingu (@besojuful) September 18, 2021#BoycottAlia #mohey They keep attacking our cultures and we still praise them.. #Hindutva #HinduWithBJP #Hinduism #hindi — Devmurarjee Mayank (@Devmurarjee) September 18, 2021What’s even more disturbing and worse is that Alia is being attacked personally for this ad more than the brand and the campaign. From her father’s past statements to her personal life, she is being targeted for simply being in the ad. Dear @aliaa08, saw your woke Ad which is insulting hindu rituals, specially "Kanyadaan"! Before you question others, just look inwards to the very industry you work. "Beti paraya dhan" is a line made popular by "BOLLYWOOD". — Ron Bikash Gaurav (@RonBikashGaurav) September 19, 2021@aliaa08 They love Halala , Mutah etc... And they hate Kanyadaan. His father was converted to enjoy marriage .See their character.Guttet bollywood. https://t.co/4lNDMYfovS pic.twitter.com/mtVfJAsxZY — परन्तप।।।।।। (@Shailen21700429) September 18, 2021It's ironic to take Aalia Bhatt in such Ad.. His father has kept two wives & multiple affairs, clearly the most dignified & respectful atmosphere for a woman. His boyfriend is also a philanderer. I'm sure Alia must have passed this gyan to them as well. — RTjeevi (@ChallaHai) September 19, 2021Why must we target women in the name of religion? While we don’t have to agree with every idea and opinion that’s served to us, how do we justify coming at a woman for it and attacking her personally? © Instagram/Mohey Fashion What are your thoughts on this? 9. Kangana Ranaut has been a part of several controversies. But the actress takes everything in her stride and leaves no stone unturned when she wants to take a jab at someone. She has always taken a stand for herself but has often been caught on the wrong side too. Kangana was also banned from Twitter, after which the actress decided to express her views on Instagram. © Instagram/Kangana Ranaut © Instagram/Kangana Ranaut She recently shared a throwback picture on her Instagram story and unveiled that she had essayed Sita's character in her childhood. She is seen wearing a red saree and is making the gesture of blessing in the photo. She is also seen wearing flowers in her hair. There's also another girl on her side dressed as a saint. She wrote, "I also played Sita as a child when I was 12 years old in a school. Ha ha..Sita Ramchandra Ki Jai. " The reason this throwback picture is significant is because, Kangana will essay the lead role of Sita for the upcoming film The Incarnation Sita, helmed by Alaukik Desai. The director tweeted the image and wrote, "What was a mirage, is now a clarity. A dream of a pious character never explored is now a reality. I am ecstatic to bring Kangana Ranaut on board as SITA. This pious journey will change the course of how we perceive our mythology.Thank you SS Studio for your immense support and belief." Kangana shared the screenshot and thanked the director for the opportunity. © Instagram/Kangana Ranaut Kangana's sister, Rangoli Chandel had also shared the throwback picture last year on her Twitter profile and wrote, "Ramayana being on air here sharing a picture of Kangana from school Ramayana play, make up costume direction by Kangana, she was hardly 13 years old used to get lot of scolding from papa for dressing up like this but she never cared.” © Instagram/Kangana Ranaut Before Kangana Ranaut, it was Kareena Kapoor Khan who was in talks for doing the movie. However, as per reports, she didn't sign the movie due to the remuneration. It was said that she was charging a whopping amount. In fact, she was also trolled by people for asking money to play a prominent role. Meanwhile, Kangana has other movies too in the pipeline, including Tejas, Dhaakad, Emergency etc. Her movie Thalaivi was released recently and the movie has been receiving positive reviews. 11. Intermittent fasting might be a fairly new and unexplored concept in the world of health and fitness, but it has surely managed to garner votes from experts and people who have tried it. If the success stories about transformation and weight loss of people and celebrities are to be believed, intermittent fasting sure works. Recently celebrities like Bharti Singh and Ram Kapoor credited the dieting method for losing extra pounds. © iStock There are umpteen benefits of intermittent fasting and it helps you lose weight in a healthy way. Although it seems a bit too harsh and an extreme diet to follow (especially if you are a foodie), there are so many ways that you can do it. The best thing about it is that you can choose the method that suits you and your schedule. © iStock No more excuses. Here are six different ways you can do intermittent fasting, so take your pick: 1. 16/8 © iStock The most popular method is 16/8 in which you fast for 16 hours and eat for the rest of the 8 hours. After you have dinner at 8 pm, your next meal shouldn’t be earlier than 12 at noon the next day. You do have to stay away from processed and high-calorie foods in the 8-hour window still. 2. Alternate Day FastingAs the name suggests, you fast on alternate days and eat like usual on the rest of the days of the week. In the fasting days, keep your calorie count to 200-500 or you can choose to eat nothing at all. It is a rather extreme method and not recommended to beginners. 3. 24-Hour Weekly FastThis is also known as the eat-stop-eat method and this is how we have known fasting in our homes. You fast for an entire day, from dinner to dinner or lunch to lunch (your call) once or twice a day. You can have water, coffee, fruits during the fast. © iStock 4. Warrior Diet It entails fasting during the day and having a low-calorie diet and having a huge meal (healthy though) during the 4-hour window every night. The meal can be your usual dinner but not processed or junk food. 5. 5:2 In the 5:2 method, you fast for 2 days every week and live on small meals and a low-calorie diet while eating like you normally do for the rest 5 days. You can pick any two days in the week according to your convenience. It helps in weight loss. 6. 12-Hour Fast © iStock Similar to the 16.8 diet with a slight variation in the time, this method involves fasting for 12 hours and eating your regular meals for the rest of the 12 hours of the day. You can include your sleep schedule in the fasting time and keep a 12-hour gap between your dinner and breakfast. View the full article
  12. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was one of the greatest players of his generations. Apart from hitting towering sixes, Dhoni was also capable of turning matches around from behind the stumps. He was exceptionally quick behind the wickets and holds the world record for the fastest stumping. © Reuters From his batting to wicket-keeping skills, everything about him was unorthodox yet very effective and that is what helped him become a modern-day great. Apart from hard work and dedication, there can’t be any fixed explanation as to what made him this successful at the international level for such a long time. However, even though he has retired from all formats of international cricket, people still find ways to describe his effectiveness both behind and in front of the stumps in their own style. “Only for a fraction of a second and Dhoni, like lightning, had those bails off.” Happy birthday to one of the sharpest keepers in cricket history pic.twitter.com/WNwxngwx5E — ICC (@ICC) July 7, 2021 Like many of us, current India head coach Ravi Shastri, who saw the former Indian skipper prosper in front of his eyes, is a fan of Dhoni’s wicket-keeping abilities. However, in his new book, Shastri wrote that he would not advise any youngster to copy Dhoni’s technique as it’s not something that can be taught. © Reuters “MS is an unorthodox cricketer. His technique, in front of and behind the stumps, is not easily replicable. My suggestion to youngsters is don't try imitating him unless it comes naturally. What made him so successful were his splendid hands. They were quicker than a pickpocket's!” Shastri wrote in his new book Stargazing: The Players In My Life. “No other wicketkeeper, at least in the era MS has played, was that fast. He was the best in the world for a long while, and in white-ball cricket by a long distance,” he added. © Reuters Some people weren’t happy with the fact that Shastri compared Dhoni’s skills with a pickpocket. They even suggested better alternatives that would have helped him put across his thoughts with the same effectiveness. Comparison of DHONI with Pickpocket Shastri bewda hai aaj pata chala He could have compared with Lightening / thunder / nano seconds, eye blink etc. — 𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗠𝗔𝗡 LOVER (@ILoveYouJanu143) September 4, 2021Who knows, he worked in railways — San. (@294li) September 4, 2021The fact that Dhoni’s career overlapped with some of the best wicket-keepers of all-time, including Kumar Sangakkara,, Adam Gilchrist and Mark Boucher, and yet he was regarded as the best of them all, speaks volumes about how good he was. © Twitter/Chennai Super Kings Dhoni might have retired from international cricket but his fans would see him step on the field once again when the Indian Premier League 2021 resumes in the United Arab Emirates later this month. He might not be the same batsman that he once was but he continues to be as lethal behind the stumps as before and we shouldn’t be surprised if he turns back the clock later this month. 13. On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the renovated Jallianwala Bagh Memorial complex in a virtual set-up and said that it is every country’s duty to protect its history as it helps "teach us and give us direction to move forward". At a time when we are celebrating Amrut Mahotsav, we should strengthen our nation's foundation and take pride in it," he said in the virtual conference. #goodnight The renovated Jallianwala Bagh Martyrs' Memorial, which has been inaugurated via video conference by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is seen illuminated in Amritsar. "Today, if any Indian is in trouble anywhere in the world, then India stands up to help him with all its might. Be it the Corona period or the crisis in Afghanistan, the world has experienced it continuously. Hundreds of people from Afghanistan are being brought to India under Operation Devi Shakti," PM Modi addressed the ongoing crises around the world and how India is participating in addressing those issues. "We still feel the pain of what happened at the time of partition in every corner of India and especially in the families of Punjab," he said. Gurbani teaches us that happiness comes by serving others," he said, adding "virasat (heritage) and vikaas (development) must coexist". However, not everyone shares PM Modi’s enthusiasm towards the revamping on the site as many view it as erasing the final few traces of the real event taking place at the venue: Devastated to hear that Jallianwala Bagh, site of the Amritsar Massacre of 1919, has been revamped - which means that the last traces of the event have effectively been erased. 15. After a long hiatus which felt like a decade had passed, Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom is the first big budget Hindi movie which has been released in the cinema halls. The movie has garnered good reviews and is also making some good money at the box office. Since Bollywood has a huge fan following across the globe , it is weird when a Hindi movie is ‘banned’ in a part of the world. Turns out, Bell Bottom has been banned in a few Gulf countries including Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia for tampering the facts. “The second half of Bell Bottom shows the hijackers taking the aircraft to Dubai from Lahore. As per the actual incident that took place in 1984, U.A.E Defence Minister, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, had personally handled the situation and it was the U.A.E authorities who had nabbed the hijackers. In Bellbottom, Indian officials, including the character played by Akshay Kumar, are shown as heroes of the episode. They also keep the U.A.E Defence Minister in the dark about their operation. So there’s a strong possibility that the Censor Board in the Middle Eastern countries must have taken objection to it and hence banned it”, says a Bollywood Hungama report. Some more recent reports cite that the UAE might not ban it and the screening would be allowed there. © Pen Marudhar Movies This espionage thriller is loosely based on true events following an undercover agent code- named Bellbottom who is on a mission to free hostages. The movie also stars Lara Dutta and Vaani Kapoor in important roles. View the full article
  16. Much like Redmi’s smartphones, the company is now looking to disrupt the laptop market and it seems like they might be one the right track. Redmi is known for offering budget-friendly products without compromising on quality. The Redmibook e-Learning Edition might be a manifestation of that ethos, but it does make certain sacrifices that are sacrilegious in 2021. Redmibook 15 e-Learning Edition Specifications The RedmiBook 15 e-Learning Edition features a 15.6-inch TN panel that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It’s got a 256GB SATA SSD or 512GB NVMe SSD, 11th-generation Intel Core i3-1115G4 CPU locked at 4.1 GHz, and 8GB of DDR4 RAM. Overall, the laptop offers everything you would need from a laptop if you are a student or even a professional who doesn’t need to compute heavy tasks. The laptop has a 46 Whr battery that can yield you a back up of up to 10 hours. Design The Redibook 15 e-Learning Edition looks largely the same as the Redmibook 15 Pro with the only difference being the Intel Core i5-11300H processor on the latter. The laptop weighs around 1.8 kg which isn’t too heavy considering other laptops of similar size. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The overall design of the laptop borrows from the Mi Notebook series where it makes slight changes in terms of branding. The minimalistic design is very reminiscent of modern laptops you may have seen by Apple, Dell and ASUS. However, unlike the previous Mi Notebook, the Redmibook 15 e-Learning Edition comes with a 720p webcam that will be useful for online classes and calls. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla When using the laptop, you will notice that the quality of the display is probably it’s weakest feature here. Redmi is using a TN panel here which is one of the lowest grade displays one can use in a laptop that’s not meant for competitive gaming. The viewing angles aren’t ideal and the colour accuracy is not up to the mark. It seems like Redmi used a TN panel to cut costs, however the quality of the display is quite disappointing nonetheless. When looking at the keyboard, you will be reminded of design cues Redmi has taken from Apple MacBooks. The keys use the scissor mechanism which makes typing on the keyboard a pure delight. The 1.5 mm key travel makes it very easy to type documents such as this review without feeling much fatigue. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The Redmibook 15 series also has a larger trackpad which was a major complaint on the Mi Notebook series. While the large trackpad does help in navigation, the trackpad itself isn’t as smooth as I expected it to be. I experienced far more friction while using the trackpad which made it harder to use it for navigation for an extended period of time. For students, who I assume are the primary target audience for this model, I would recommend using a USB mouse instead of the trackpad if you don’t want to tire yourself out browsing the internet or documents. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla In terms of ports, the Redmi 15 e-Learning Edition comes with a USB 2.0 port, a 3.5mm headphone port, an SD Card slot, an ethernet port, an HDMI 1.4 port and 2 USB 3.2 ports as well. While you are mostly covered in terms of ports, I would have liked to see a USB-C port as well, especially since most Redmi phones now use that connector. I do understand why Redmi opted to exclude the USB-C port, however it sure would have made life easier for everyone if we had that option. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla Since there is no USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, the laptop uses a standard power port which I also thought was a lost opportunity. Many modern laptops use USB-C PD charging as a standard now and it would have been nice to see Redmi offering the same solution. Performance Considering the hardware, the Redmibook 15 e-Learning Edition comes with Intel’s latest Tiger Lake 11th Gen i3-1115G4 CPU which can be clocked to 4.1 Ghz. The CPU has been paired with 8GB of DDR4 RAM which cannot be upgraded later on. Since the RAM is soldered onto the motherboard, you’re stuck with the available on-board RAM in case you want to upgrade in the future. The laptop also has 11th Gen Intel UHD Graphics which means it’s fine for basic photoshop editing and image resizing. It really isn’t meant for playing games, even titles like CS:GO which might be a disappointment for some people. If you were looking to get a laptop with discrete graphics, you can consider having a look at the Redmibook 15 Pro variant. The other main attraction here is the SSD which is much faster than older laptops that still use HDD. Having said that, the 256GB variant uses a SATA SSD which isn’t as fast as a M.2 PCIe SSD found on the 512GB variant. It still managed to open files at blazing speeds and read/write speeds were at par with laptops that cost more than the Redmibook 15 e-Learning Edition. You can start the laptop from cold state in about 35-40 seconds which is much faster than what I had anticipated and is bound to be even faster on the M.2 PCIe SSD model. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla Since the laptop uses the 11th Gen i3-1115G4 CPU, you can expect it to handle resource-heavy tasks easily. It can handle single-core performance fairly well but often fails to deliver with multi-core performance apps. Multitasking on the laptop is held back due to the limited 8GB of RAM which often shot up to max usage when running multiple resource-heavy apps. While using the laptop for daily work, I often have many tabs open on Chrome and use Word to type out reviews such as this one. With just 7-8 tabs open, I struggled to get Microsoft Word to work smoothly which can be problematic for students who may use this laptop for term papers and dissertations. It is also worth pointing out that while running resource-demanding apps, the laptop can get quite warm which you can feel on the keyboard itself. Since there aren’t additional air vents on the sides of the laptop, heat is dissipated from the bottom fans which results in some throttling issues. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla One thing worth noting is that the laptop tends to get quite hot during such RAM-intensive tasks. The keyboard deck hit 40 degrees during a 10-minute CS:GO session and the edges were even hotter. That’s primarily because there are no air vents anywhere except the bottom which remains blocked on a tabletop. It got similarly hot while transcoding a video on HandBrake. For better perspectives, in my tests, the Redmibook 15 e-Learning Edition scored 1121 (single-core) and 2384 (multi-core) on Geekbench 5. On Cinebench, it scored 2921 in the multi-core test. The Final Say In my honest opinion, if you are looking for a budget laptop that can do all the basics, the Redmibook 15 e-Learning Edition is a great option to consider. It does have its caveats but I would suggest looking at them as necessary budget constraints. If you are a student in college or school, or a parent looking to get a laptop for your children, the Redmibook 15 e-Learning Edition is a viable starting point. View the full article
  17. We know you like them. We notice you noticing them. And we also know you wish you could spend some quality one-on-one time with them. But despite all of that attention that breasts get, when the time finally comes for you to have a sexy rendezvous, men hardly ever spend more than 2 minutes on it. In fact, breasts become one of the most ignored parts during *** and honestly guys, it’s not cool. Especially since by overlooking them, you’re also overlooking a good chance of making your woman orgasm. © iStock Research says, and by that I mean for almost every woman out there, that breasts are perhaps one of the most sensitive parts in a woman’s body and if you can work your way around them, you can guarantee your girl a climax like never before. Besides, it never hurts to set your camp elsewhere every once in a while and explore the uncharted. Because trust me, it’s the only time ‘tit for tat’ works and how. Here are a few pointers for you (pun intended) to keep in mind the next time you want to make her toes curl without going...into the deep: 1. Grab A Handful © iStock Make your partner and their breasts feel loved by not just caressing them but also holding on to them firmly and with an urgency that will turn them right on. Don’t be afraid to feel them up, squeeze them, kiss them and play around with them. Your partner's expressions while you do that will help you navigate through what they do and do not like. 2. Tip Of The Iceberg © iStock The darker area that encircles the nipple is called ‘Areola’ and it is the part that allows a woman to have the most sensation when played with. Make sure to spend enough time on it by kissing it, licking it and sometimes by even just blowing on it. 3. Temperature Play © iStock Spice things up by introducing a bit of a temperature play in the act. Make use of an ice cube either by placing it right on her breast or by keeping one in your mouth long enough and then kissing her breasts with those cold lips. Her orgasm wouldn’t just be guaranteed, it would be amplified! 4. Add Some Sugar © iStock By that, I mean try eating off of your partner’s breasts and the best items to use for that kind of a play are things like whipped cream, chocolate sauce and, at times, even powdered sugar. A way that will satiate your appetite like no other! 5. Tough Love © iStock Before you go ahead with this one, MAKE SURE your partner has agreed to a little rough play and only when they do should you get down and dirty with it. This can include biting on their nipples (not too hard) and even slapping their tender breasts to stimulate an orgasm. View the full article
  18. The Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, has been officially renamed as the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Friday. Taking to his Twitter handle, PM Modi said that he was receiving a 'lot of requests from citizens' all over the country and took the decision respecting their sentiments. “I have been getting many requests from citizens across India to name the Khel Ratna Award after Major Dhyan Chand. I thank them for their views. Respecting their sentiment, the Khel Ratna Award will hereby be called the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award! Jai Hind!” PM Modi wrote on Twitter. I have been getting many requests from citizens across India to name the Khel Ratna Award after Major Dhyan Chand. I thank them for their views. Respecting their sentiment, the Khel Ratna Award will hereby be called the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award! Jai Hind! pic.twitter.com/zbStlMNHdq — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) August 6, 2021 Also known as the ‘hockey wizard’, many considered Major Dhyan Chand to be the biggest sporting icon in the country and it was fitting that the highest sporting honour in the country was named after him. Delighted with the decision, many welcomed the move with open arms and thanked the Prime Minister for honouring the popular sentiment and paying tribute to the hockey legend. Excellent excellent decision sir. Most countries name their sporting awards after sports legends whereas in India it was named in the honour of Rajiv Gandhi! Why? Maj Dhyan Chand is arguably the greatest sportsman India has produced. Hope he gets Bharat Ratna next. — THE SKIN DOCTOR (@theskindoctor13) August 6, 2021So proud to hear this. Khel Ratna must be named after a legend and not a politician. Great decision by Modi Govt to rename Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award to Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. Now I hope they can rename Narendra Modi Stadium and Jaitley Stadium also. Remove all politician names. — Dhruv Rathee (@dhruv_rathee) August 6, 2021It's unfortunate. Rajiv Gandhi was PM, he led the country into the 21st century. He encouraged sports, youth. It's great that India's top sports award is named after our first Olympic hero. But the intent behind it is to take a dig at the Gandhi family. — Parth MN (@parthpunter) August 6, 2021#Burnol for the INC members and supporters as the RG Khel Ratna award got renamed after Major Dhyan Chand. Good initiative by Narendra Modi. Hope he’ll remove his name too from stadiums, websites, and other sections. It’s irksome to spot NaMo’s advertisements, & pics everywhere. pic.twitter.com/8lLmsEYXZf — 𝐉𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐧 (@aka_dpu) August 6, 2021 Dhyan Chand, without any doubt, was the biggest sporting icon in pre-independent India and ruled the world of field hockey between 1926 to 1949 shooting over 400 international goals. He won three consecutive Olympic gold medals in 1928, 1932 and 1936. He had famously rejected Adolf Hitler’s proposal in 1936 after he had offered him the rank of Field Marshal in his Army and asked him to play hockey for Germany. © Twitter While many would argue the decision should have been made a long time ago, for us it couldn’t have been done at a better time when the entire country is rejoicing with the way our men’s and women’s hockey teams have performed at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics and made the country proud with their historic campaigns. While the men’s team won the bronze medal -- their first Olympic medal in 41 years, the women’s team scripted history by reaching the knock-out stage for the first time in Indian history. © Facebook The Khel Ratna award was instituted in 1991-92 and chess maestro Viswanathan Anand was the first-ever sportsperson to receive this honour. Since then, many popular athletes, including cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Leander Paes, Dhanraj Pillay, Pullela Gopichand, Abhinav Bindra, have been conferred with the award. This announcement has also given all of us hope that PM Modi will listen to the other demand as well and confer Major Dhyan Chand with the Bharat Ratna -- the highest civilian honour in the country. 19. The Ace Attorney series is part comedy, part suspenseful and part visual novel for players who want to sit back, relax and play a game that doesn’t require you to mash buttons. While the Great Ace Attorney Chronicle does tick most of the boxes I’ve mentioned, it’s more of a serious take on the series set in the past. © Capcom The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is set in the Japanese Meiji period or the Victorian Period for the Western world where you play as Ryunosuke Naruhodo, an ancestor of the series’ main protagonist Phoenix Wright (Ryuichi Naruhodo). The game takes history quite seriously and tells stories that are true to the period which wasn’t something I was expected. In fact, I expected the game to be localised for more western tastes but I love the fact The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles celebrates its Japanese heritage, language and culture. It may feel a bit jarring at first however since I know a bit about Japan; I felt right at home. There were some occasions where I felt out of place as it requires a bit of knowledge about the Japanese language which I somewhat solved by Googling things. © Capcom However, the game is also is a bit weird as it also offers a mix of British Victorian characters that I might say have been portrayed well. For starters, the British characters are quite cynical and didn’t shy away from showcasing their racist characteristics either. For example, Japanese characters in the game are often not trusted by white British Jury members simply because they look different. There’s even a prosecutor who keeps hurling slurs at them only because of how they look. © Capcom It made me feel a bit uncomfortable however the game does deal with these social issues with grace. To be honest, I’m surprised that Capcom even went this route especially since the series is not known for making social commentaries. It was a bold move to include racist nuances in characters from a time when racism was normal. While the game does an excellent job at dealing with serious problems, it does an equally good job at its presentation, character build-up and animations. Backgrounds are extensively detailed and some of the animations surpasses every game that has been released in the series before. Each character also has unique dialogues and their own personas. Capcom’s attention to detail is at great display here especially when you start noticing the different nuances of each character you come across. © Capcom The game also pays homage to Sherlock Holmes as several characters from the detective series make an appearance. As an attorney, you also have to investigate cases like a detective where you will be searching for clues and interrogating witnesses. I do have to point out that you will need to do a lot of text reading and almost all of it is important. You will be required to pull up evidence from your searches and interviews when in court so you can’t really glance over these parts. Having said that, the payoff here is the great storytelling where some cases are hilarious in true Ace Attorney fashion while some are heart-wrenching. If you’ve ever seen Suits or any Court Drama TV series, you will get the same sensation here when you blow a case wide open after presenting damning pieces of evidence or contradicting testimonies. © Capcom The game is largely a visual novel; however, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles lets you play any case in any order. There are 10 cases to solve in total however if you just want to experience the game as a visual novel, you can do that too. There’s a new story mode where the game is played by the AI automatically. It will automatically run through the dialogue text and even choose the right evidence for you. Completing the 10 cases will last you 40 hours which is quite a bit of content considering this is more like a visual novel. I often found myself relaxed while playing The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles once I was done playing Persona 5 Royal for the day. I played this game on the PlayStation 5 where the game looked astoundingly beautiful. However, I do think this game will be best experienced on a handheld device i.e. a Nintendo Switch so that you can play it while laying in bed or on an aeroplane. The Final Say The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is probably the best game in the series so far that offers some incredible twists, hilarious moments and loveable characters. It’s a more serious game than its predecessors which in my opinion should be the way forward for the series. With over 40 hours worth of content in 10 scintillating cases, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is perfect for some laidback gaming. View the full article
  20. If I were to pick up an analogy to describe a relationship in the most simplistic way, I’d probably go ahead to say how it’s almost like a roller coaster ride. For some, the line to get to the ride is short and quick, for others, it is long and tiresome. But the thing common for everyone who gets aboard it is that it is full of ups and downs. There are bound to be a few high and a few low points in the course of a relationship and the best way to navigate through all of them is by being prepared and guarded by the safety belt. While it is easier to get lost in enjoying the high moments, it is also natural to feel queasy when the low suddenly arrives. © Maddock Films And one such low point in any relationship could be when your partner tells you they want space. Which may sound worrying or startling at first, but is completely normal and needs to be tackled with just as much patience and sensitivity. Here are 5 ways to help you give space to your partner, without worrying about losing them along the way: 1. Don’t Take It Personally © Maddock Films Before you jump to any conclusions and take it as a sign to break up, take a moment to remind yourself that relationships can be overwhelming and wanting some time to yourself to handle it doesn’t always have to be bad. Remember, it is more about them than it is about you. 2. Talk About It © iStock It is important for both the partners to be transparent with each other about what they mean when they say they want space. Is it a few days to themselves? Is it a weekend getaway with best friends, talk it out and hear them out. Chances are they feel burnt out and having a few days to be with themselves will help them get right back on track. More so, with your support. 3. Hold Back From Reaching Out Too Much © iStock Once you have decided to offer space to your partner, make sure that you stick to it. Someone who is already feeling overwhelmed and has requested some time to claim themselves back would like it much better if they wouldn’t be getting bombarded with your texts or calls all the time. This also doesn’t mean you two go radio silent, but that you respect their privacy and let them reach out to you. 4. Use The Time For Yourself © iStock Relationships can take an emotional toll on both people and it is always a good idea to take some time to rejuvenate and relax. Use this time to connect with yourself and tend to your own needs without worrying about anything else. Meet with your friends, take a spa day, pay attention to other relationships in your life. 5. Be Supportive © iStock For whatever reason that your partner feels like they could use a little space, don’t judge them for it. It could be that they’re going through a hard time and being encouraging might just help them deal with it better. Give your partner the liberty to come back and share their thoughts with you at their own pace. View the full article

  22. There has to be something seriously wrong with you if you found Delhi Belly boring. Saying that it was a laughter riot, would be grossly underselling the film. Back then, in 2011, the film won some awards, but largely won a lot of hearts. It was a proper box office blockbuster. © UTV Motion Pictures It did not matter, whether you watched the film in Hindi or English, there were some pretty comically charged sequences that didn’t even need any dialogues. And let’s not even get started on some of the iconic songs that the movie gave us. Well, people on twitter, had some pretty anecdotes about the film and what they liked about it, and trust us, they were just as funny as the film itself.
