  1. News of rescue came hours after ISPR had said that it was coordinating high-risk rescue operation to evacuate Shehroze Kashif, Fazal Ali
  2. Pakistani mountaineers Shehroze Kashif and Fazal Ali went missing briefly after they summited Nanga Parbat
  3. Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal got married in a traditional Punjabi ceremony in Rajasthan earlier this month. The couple exchanged wedding vows in an intimate ceremony and are now enjoying marital bliss. Reportedly, another celebrity couple might tie the knot soon. Well, we're talking about the Fukrey duo Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha who are in a steady relationship. View this post on Instagram There has been a constant buzz around their wedding, however, according to the latest reports, the much-in-love couple is finally ready to take their relationship to the next level by getting married in March 2022. Yes, you read that right! Since Richa and Ali have projects lined up starting in April, they have decided to take the plunge in March. Revealing the same, a source told Mid-Day, "The wedding will be a two-city affair — in Mumbai and Delhi. However, they will keep it intimate with only family and close friends in attendance. At the moment, the actors are looking at various venues in the cities and will zero in on the locations soon". The source added, "Ali is working on a few Hollywood projects. So, they worked out their dates and settled on a summer wedding". However, the actors are yet to confirm the same. For the unversed, the couple was all set to get hitched in April 2020, however, the COVID-19 pandemic played spoilsport at that time. Talking about their love story, Richa and Ali first met each other on Fukrey sets in 2012 and became friends. Eventually, their friendship blossomed into love. Later, they also teamed up for Fukrey 2 which was released in 2017. In the same year, Ali finally confirmed dating Richa and the duo has been in a happy space since then. On the career front, both of them will be reuniting onscreen for Fukrey 3. Apart from that, Ali reportedly has a few Hollywood projects lined-up while Richa is said to be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's debut web series Heera Mandi. However, the official announcement is still awaited. Source: Mid-Day View the full article

  6. Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots was a revolutionary movie that came out in 2009 and really connected with young audiences and adults everywhere. © Netflix The coming-of-age comedy-drama film, based on Chetan Bhagat's book Five Point Someone, had a stellar cast of Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, and Boman Irani, making the film not only just a content-based film but a cinematic delight as well. © Netflix The film had a lot of takes on how education is looked at as a whole in India and how students have to bear tremendous pressures when it comes to scoring high in examinations as well as getting a job that pays well in the future. Actor Ali Fazal portrayed one of those students in the film, with his character Joy Lobo deciding to take his own life after failing to complete his final year project on time. © Netflix However, Fazal, who himself was a second-year college student back when the film was being shot, said that during the shooting, a news channel approached him, asking him to comment on the teenage suicides in India. The 34-year-old actor revealed that he fell into depression around the same time and stated how he felt 'crushed' at the news of students taking drastic steps due to pressures related to studies. “I slipped into depression when I started with ‘3 Idiots’. I played a small role in it. Do you know what happened? Suddenly they were doing some news pieces, not to sound morbid or anything but at that time, some college students had harmed themselves, and then I got a call from some news channel saying, 'Sir, you've played this role and this is exactly what has happened. How do you feel about it?' and I was crushed at that point. I was naive. I was in my second year of college,” said Fazal, while speaking with PeepingMoon in an interview. After starting out with a small role in 3 Idiots, over the course of years, Fazal has really gone on to make a big name for himself by working in films like ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’, ‘Bobby Jasoos’, and ‘Fukrey’. © Prime Video The actor, who really impressed fans and critics with his performance in the Amazon series ‘Mirzapur’, has also bagged some Hollywood projects during that time. He will now be seen in Netflix's upcoming OTT series 'Ray' on June 25, 2021. View the full article
  7. Celebrities who make fashion relatable are sometimes rare in the industry. There are several actors who have time and again stepped out wearing clothes that make us scratch our heads. For example, when Ranveer Singh wore pants that looked like denim curtains. I mean no one comes close to what he can do in the fashion department. But on the other hand, we have Ali Fazal, who knows how to pull off ensembles that even regular folks like us can try out. That's just his calibre. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani After giving a stellar performance in Mirzapur, the actor has often piqued our interest with his style statement as well. He went from decking up in classic silhouettes to wearing super comfortable joggers, shorts and chappals. The pandemic also might have influenced his wardrobe. No matter what the reason is, he still manages to turn heads. He was recently seen stepping out of a store in Mumbai. We have often seen our Guddu Bhaiya wear chappals but in rare moments, he also wears some eccentric pair of shoes. This appearance was one such event. Take a look. © ASICS Ali is wearing Asics Dynablast sneakers. These come in gradient blue colourway and are made with a light, breathable upper that wraps well and gives a sock-like feel. Moreover, these trainers bring an energetic ride to your feet. The grippy rubber tread adds to the traction and these are finished with Asics branding. © ASICS If you are wondering how much money you would have to spend on these shoes, these are for Rs 9,787. If you think about it, this isn't such a bad deal and can be a good call for your workout sesh. © Viral Bhayani We also like the way Ali was dressed for the casual outing. Firstly, his #Nomad T-shirt is a versatile addition. You also can't miss the way he has worn the upper with shorts. The compressed tights below also look pretty dope. Overall, we think the outfit screams athleisure and it's a subtle workout choice that Ali has gone for. To make it stand out, the sunglasses are a perfect accessory here. © Viral Bhayani In all, this is one heck of an example that we can try out too but we hope to see more of Guddu Bhaiya style. 8. Ali Fazal, without a doubt, is one of the most talented actors in the OTT space and in cinema. Heck, the man is so good, that every now and then, you can see in some notable Hollywood or British production, playing a vital character. © 20th Century Studios When it comes to fashion, we love how Ali aces the boho-chic aesthetic from time to time. However, it seems that no matter how hard he tries, he just can’t ditch the ‘Guddu Bhaiya’ aesthetic. © Viral Bhayani Very recently, Ali was spotted at the screening of Richa Chadda’s upcoming film, Madam Chief Minister in his quintessential boho-chic style. Guddu was seen in a double-denim outfit, compromising of a denim shirt and jeans. Now, going double denim is always a bit of a risk, given just how difficult it is to pull off this sort of a coordinated outfit. In fact, it is actually considered to be a fashion faux pas by many. © Viral Bhayani However, given that this is Ali we are speaking about, you can safely assume that he styled the outfit in a rather sophisticated manner. First off is that white undershirt, which helps by lending the outfit some semblance of contrast. One of the biggest aspects that work against double denim is just that, a lack of contrast. Secondly, we love how he anchored the outfit using a pair of tan leather Chelsea boots. We believe that no matter what one’s sense of style is, every man should have a pair of a dope looking Chelsea boots, given just how versatile they are. © Viral Bhayani The reason why Ali’s Chelsea boots become so vital for this outfit, is again, contrast. The brown leather boots are set against the monotony of the rest of the outfit and give it a much-needed splash of colour to the overall look. © Viral Bhayani We also like the manner in which he has tied a plain bandana around his arm. The highlight of the outfit though is that shawl that Ali is carrying. It completely changes the vibe of the outfit and gives it a more rustic appeal, something that we have come to expect from Fazal’s outfits. © Viral Bhayani The grey chevrons on the black base of the shawl, give it a very tribal, but modern appeal, and sits in contrast with the ensemble, both thematically, as well as in terms of colour. All in all, this is one heck of an outfit from the man. Take a bow, Ali, for that’s a great way to class up a regular evening outfit! View the full article
  9. Born in Lucknow, he thought of conquering cinema through his acting skills and he did manage to make his own space after a lot of hardships. He has seen a very turbulent graph in Bollywood but he is reaching new heights in Hollywood every day. In the process, he has learnt a lot about how Indian cinema functions and has always been vocal about his understanding of different movie cultures. View this post on InstagramMany cinephiles have always addressed Indian cinema as Bollywood and restricted its value. Ali has spoken the reality that many cinema lovers need to understand that Bollywood alone is not Indian cinema. He told Hindustan Times, “Indian cinema is not all Bollywood and that’s a barrier that’s been hard to break. I am so indebted to the incredible work of Irrfan Bhai, Om sa’ab, Saeed Jaffrey, Shashi Kapoor who have strived to secure better roles and created better opportunities for us. A lead part in roles has been possible for me because of their contribution and bravery.” We totally agree with Ali that people need to start seeing beyond Bollywood and start accepting the fact, we have more to offer when it comes to Indian cinema. We have, for years, ignored the relevance of regional cinema and independent filmmakers. View this post on Instagram As he is now a part of Hollywood, he understands that how artists such as Shashi Kapoor, Om Puri, and Irrfan have worked hard to create a platform for Indian actors overseas. On this, he added, “Choices don’t come to you on a platter no matter which industry you belong to. And when it’s an industry that’s not familiar with you, your body of work, and judging your abilities from their own set notions, it’s an even tougher feat. For decades, masterful filmmakers and actors have systematically worked towards depicting the real India on screen.” On the work front, he is awaiting the release of Death On The Nile and is looking forward to shooting for Code Name Johnny Walker. 10. The second season of Mirzapur opens a few days after the events of Season 1 and this time it’s all about revenge. If you are wondering that you might get confused about who’s after whom, the makers have given recap of the previous season and if you have followed the plot, you will get a fair idea of what’s going to happen next. View this post on InstagramA post shared by (@primevideoin) The second season takes time to gain momentum as the first episode won’t give you an instant adrenaline rush but it will soon start to reveal the reason why should invest your time in season two. The world of Mirzapur in season 2 is bloodier than season 1. This time, the characters move beyond just using violence as they are keen on using their brains to seek revenge. Interestingly, you will get to witness a change in relationship dynamics in season 2. There is a sense of ease in Akhandanand Tripathi aka Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) and his son, Munna (Divyendu Sharma). View this post on InstagramA post shared by (@primevideoin) Now that Bablu (Vikrant Massey) is no more, Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), his sister Dimpy (Harshita Gaur), and Golu (Shweta Tripathi) have come together to seek revenge from the Tripathis. The women characters are stronger than before and unlike in the first season, they are not limited to being the pretty girlfriends or just mere love interests. Then, there is Beena (Rasika Dugal) who’s trying every way to survive and is waiting for her time so that she can take her revenge in time. View this post on InstagramA post shared by (@primevideoin) Sharad Shukla (Anjum Sharma) is also back, but this time he is the one who is now taking care of Jaunpur. The new players in the race are Sharad’s associate Tyagi (Vijay Verma) and Robin (Priyanshu Painyuli) and Isha Talwar. Coming to the performances, we loved everyone's emotional trajectory throughout the course of the season. The best relationship dynamics is that of Ali and Shweta who have faced their trauma silently and it’s surely powerful. Vijay and Priyanshu are very impressive too, and are here to make you fall in love with them. 11. If used well, social media can be a constructive tool and if not, it can be quite destructive. When the Mirzapur 2 trailer released, a certain section of people made #BoycottMirzapur2 trend on social media; the reason being Ali Fazal’s involvement in anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests. View this post on InstagramGaram kar rahe hain. Dikh raha hai tumko.. . @YehHaiMirzapur @PrimeVideoIN @excelmovies @FarOutAkhtar @ritesh_sid @puneetkrishna @gurmmeet @MihirBDesai @vineetkrishna01A post shared by (@alifazal9) Ali has now responded to haters in the most responsible way in an interview with Times Now and his three perfect comebacks will surely make you agree with his thoughts. 1. Ali said that we are not at the mercy of a trend and he thinks a single trend can’t decide what people should watch or not. He said, “We have to decide what is the bar we are setting. Are we at the mercy of a trend? No! I don’t look at art in that way. Are we at the mercy of one app that decides who will watch our show and who will not?” I request each and everyone of you who see the reality of these bigot celebs, they dont deserve our love & respect. they are the biggest hypocrites please watch some other movies like tolly, holly for entertainment #BoycottLaxmiBomb #BoycottMirzapur2 #BoycottBollywood — Artika Srivastava (@aartika__) October 9, 2020 2. Ali also asked where these trends were when farmers were protesting across the country. He also questioned how people are now ignoring the severity of the pandemic we are facing. “No, I think this has really gone down. I mean if you are really talking about trends, I never saw any trends related to farmers – there have been protests everywhere across our country. But I wouldn’t say that it’s not an important story, it’s the most important story. The Pandemic suddenly has become the last story on everybody’s mind. It’s not trending anymore but it’s still supposed to be the biggest problem that we are facing. I hope the people rise above that,” added Ali. View this post on Instagramकहे the hum, ghar aaye toh रिस्क hai, ab भुगतो. #Mirzapur2 . . . @yehhaimirzapur @primevideoin @excelmovies @battatawada @faroutakhtar @ritesh_sid #PuneetKrishna @gurmmeetsingh @mihirbd @vineetkrishna01A post shared by (@alifazal9) 3. He also made a valid point by saying that they are trying to create something which can take Indian cinema to the level of international cinema and they don’t want to be bogged down by a few haters. He said, “We are trying to create something nice. We are trying to also level with international work that is out there on those very platforms. We don’t want to be regressed by certain factions of society.” We totally agree with Ali Fazal on this as Mirzapur did raise the bar for Indian content on OTT platforms. The Prime Video crime series set in Uttar Pradesh stars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Shweta Tripathi, Rasika Dugal, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Joining them in Mirzapur 2 are Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Amit Sial, and Anjum Sharma. View the full article

  13. Ali Fazal is one actor who is not just making waves in Bollywood but has also found his calling from the shores of Hollywood on the basis of his insane and sheer talent. © Excel Entertainment The Mirzapur actor, who has had to work very hard to prove his mettle, is currently on an all-time career high. With Victoria And Abdul giving him a pretty solid exposure in Hollywood, Ali is currently busy shooting with none other than Wonder Woman Gal Gadot for Death In the Nile, which is based on an Agatha Christie novel. The cast and the crew is currently on a shooting schedule in London, where Ali also called in his 33rd birthday, courtesy Gal, who threw a private and a surprise dinner bash for him. Ali took to social media to share the pictures and videos from his birthday, along with a 'thank you' note. View this post on Instagram And the Birthday ended on a sweet and very co incidental plan manifested at this cute little place with some of my wonderful co actors #annettebening @gal_gadot . Also with me was maah dear friend aditya desai and sonali cozied up in a booth near the fire. i wana thank alll my friends and fans from across the globe who poured in with the wishes. I wish everyone wisdom in these dark times - words are often thrown about like shredded paper and so i ask of you to stop and ponder on the ones you use in lets say one day. They can change the world . I kid you not. My two bits. HAVE A GREAT OCTOBER . (I mean i'll stil post its just.. sounded like a nice end so oct isnt over ð³ ) bye. A post shared by ali fazal (@alifazal9) on Oct 16, 2019 at 1:20am PDT While still in London, he also decided to catch a movie at the ongoing film festival where he also, in what one might call an event of pure serendipity, got the chance to meet his idol, the legendary Al Pacino. Ali happily shared his selfie with him along with a long note about this wonderful encounter which read as follows: "I post this today. My best gift of 2019, hell actually my whole life as ive known it because the people who know me know very well what this meant. I told him i pirated his movies just to catch up at one point. Id neva do that now but we all done bad things. We spoke a little about my work and then for some reason i remembered my two mamu's and my mum being great fans of him as well.. so, i told him they were the ones who got me hooked on to you. My first fairytale i remember as a child is a story about an italian family in newyork. And years later i asked my mom why she did that. Who tells a kid about the godfather and she said - “i thought it was a nice story but i dont think i told it right. Go Watch it “. Anyway.. this was long overdue. And it happened at a private screening for the irishman with Mr De niro, Martin scorsese, harvy kietel, anna paquin and Al ofcourse. The movie? Flawless and if i can say the perfect film. Now u must understand an actor can never say that but it is. Its long tho.” Wow. Talk about the ultimate birthday gift. Death On The Nile follows the story of detective Hercule Poirot, who is trying to solve the case of the mysterious death of an Egyptian princess.
